Used this for the first time at mammoth this past weekend. Super comfy, kept my head warm in the low 20s, and I never over heated. Practically couldn't tell it was there. A
little heavier than you'd like, but no complaints from me. Oakley helmet game is coming along. Fit perfectly with my Oakley goggles

Picked this up after I finally realized my old Oakley mod 3 had a few too many bumps and bruises, and I'm very happy I did. I have oddly sensitive ears and get pain from
standard ear pads on most helmets, but the mod5 has ear cups with a hollow space inside that fit perfectly. Helmet has lots of ventilation and does not feel heavy when
wearing. Kept me warm on a cold day recently, and with all these vents I'm sure it'll be cool in the spring.. I would buy again.

Unpacked and was surprised to discover it doesn’t have the modular brim system as stated in description. Double checked on Oakley’s site description. No MBS on this new
version. Had the older version prior that I really liked. This still version is a more drafty than prior version on cold days. Have used it 5 days. Is just ok.

If you know, You know!

If you know, You know!Other snowboarders were coming up to me to ask about the helmet or knew about it. This is my 3rd helmet and it is definitely the best so far. Very comfortable and securely attached to the head. I can hear everything too! Very happy with this purchase!... Show more

Nice Helmet
9 December 2022
Overall very comfortable helmet, sits just a little higher than another helmet I tried, but not too bad really so you don't look like a mushroom head. Deal breaker for me was the goggle fit. The Anon M4 goggles doesn't fit well with this helmet, no pictures since I already returned it. The goggles stick out past the brim of the helmet and the helmet pushes the goggles down your face a little, pinching your nose, making it a little harder to breathe. It's unfortunate, got a great price during the holidays and it truly is one of the more comfortable helmets I've ever tried on. Definitely a huge upgrade from the last model Mod5.Basically I would recommend bringing your goggles to see if they fit. The M4 are huge, so it may just be them. But I'm not buying new goggles ... MoreOverall very comfortable helmet, sits just a little higher than another helmet I tried, but not too bad really so you don't look like a mushroom head. Size runs large, don't like chin strap
8 July 2023
The circumference of my head is at the lower end of the size scale for a large helmet. The fit is loose even with the boa adjustment. Also, I don't like the chin strap. I wondering if it's defective? There's a little loop on the chin strap, and it seems as if both sides of the chin straps should run through it. But only one side runs through it. I'm wondering if this is a manufacturing defect? Contemplating sending the helmet back but I'm reluctant to spend $11 for the return shipping.... Show more

Sleek, lightweight, and uber-breathable
23 January 2023
Personally, I think this helmet looks awesome. It's fun and different without being too over-the-top. If you tend to run hot, the breathability of this helmet will be a game-changer. The downside, though, is that it runs narrow, so folks with large heads like myself will feel some pinching. Megamind beware. I've never had issues with the fit of other size Large helmets, but this one wasn't the most comfy. The other downside is that it tends to fit a bit weird with bigger goggles. I tested it with the Von Zipper Satellites, which are pretty huge, so most goggles should work fine.... Show more

Terrible Design - Very Uncomfortable
9 March 2023
This must be amoung the worst designed helmet. Sorry I bought it. I've tried multiple adjustments and nothing works. The brim is just too low and ends up pushing my goggles down my face. Removing the brim makes the helmet too cold because the ear bads and liner get removed. When the winds is at your back the vent at the back of the helmet allow cold air to flow it and there is no way to block it. I've tired to adjust the mips liner and the snaps come off and the helmet shifts down my head. What a waste of money.... Show more

Vent cover is NOT matte-finish
19 June 2023
Seems like a great helmet but I really dislike the shiny, transparent plastic used for the sliding vent cover. It lends a cheap, flimsy look to an otherwise great looking product. Really wish this piece was an opaque, matte-finished material like the rest of the helmet, as was pictured on EVO's site. Unfortunately, I've now made three different attempts to order this helmet with a matte vent cover from EVO (once from the website and twice over the phone, even speaking directly to an in-store staff person who "verified" that the vent cover of the helmet he would ship to me was indeed matte, like the photo on the site) before accepting that a helmet like the one pictured on EVO's site (matte vent cover) simply doesn't exist -- bummer. This was a gift for my bf who I'm ... MoreSeems like a great helmet but I really dislike the shiny, transparent plastic used for the sliding vent cover.
