I switched from 1% cows milk to plant based milks a few years ago largely for environmental reasons. I tried Soy milk but did not enjoy drinking it. I used Almond milk for awhile but learned that it was not as good for the environment as Oak milk is so I switched to Oat milk. I tried four different brands and chose Oatley because it came in half gallon cartons and tasted the best and looked whiter than the others and also was the best deal per ounce. I was so glad when WalMart finally started to stock Oatley. I highly recommend Oatley from all the reasons mentioned above. I plan to keep buying it at WalMart.

I absolutely love Oatly oat milk. I started using oatly about a year ago when I found out that I need to cut back on dairy. I've used all kinds of non dairy milks in the past even oat milk, but nothing beats Oatly. Oatly full fat is my favorite. Regular is great but full fat (they add a little extra oil) adds a bit of oomph. I use Oatly, both the original and the full fat in everything you can use regular milk in. I love it in smoothies and in oatmeal. It's a great cereal milk. The full fat works especially good in baked goods like cakes and cookies. For a really special treat I like to make a faux milkshake. One cup Oatly full fat oat milk, one half to one whole *frozen* banana, 3 oreos. Blend. It tastes just like a milkshake, no oat or banana taste. I recently had the pleasure of trying the Oatly Barista Edition, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations. Finding a plant-based option that can perfectly mimic the taste and texture of dairy milk has always been a challenge. However, Oatly Barista Edition delivers on all fronts, and then some. The first thing that struck me was its creamy consistency. It froths beautifully, allowing me to create luscious latte art and velvety cappuccinos. One of the most impressive aspects of this oat milk is its taste. The Barista Edition is specifically designed to enhance the flavor of coffee, and it does so effortlessly. It adds a subtle sweetness that balances the bitterness of espresso shots perfectly, resulting in a harmonious and well-rounded cup of coffee. ... MoreI recently had the pleasure of trying the Oatly Barista Edition, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations. This is the best non-dairy milk! It is rich, creamy, and works just like whole dairy milk! It has a yummy oat flavor and it froths very well for lattes, thanks to the fat content. If you are an oat milk enthusiast, you probably like Oatly, Chobani, or Califia Farms. I haven’t tried Califia Oat Milk, but I have tried Chobani. While the Chobani Extra Creamy oat milk is good, it does not have the same rich, oaty flavor as the Oatly milks. I highly recommend Oatly, I have been using it for months after switching from almond milk and I have never looked back! The designs on the carton are so cute as well. I highly recommend you buy this oat milk. Amazing quality, amazing taste, it is not as cheap as the typical non-dairy milks, but it is so worth it!
I bought this as an alternative to Alpro almond chocolate milk which I used to buy regularly until it was discontinued, and it is delicious. It's not quite as rich as the Alpro one was, instead it reminds me of the chocolatey milk you get from chocolate cereal.I do however think this one tastes better cold than the Alpro one did. I have yet to try it warmed up as hot chocolate but imagine it will still be delicious! It's a shame it's so expensive, but all the branded milk alternatives are and despite that it's definitely one I'll be buying again as a treat item.
I usually buy the non-refrigerated version of Barista Oatly (the grey one). I had this when shopping in a rush but despite showing the same ingredients, and same labeling, this version has an aftertaste I really don't like. Also, this one has to be stored in the fridge and BBE date within a month or two, while the non-refrigerated grey one is good for around a year (they never last that long in our house anyway!)Others may not notice the taste but the best before end date is easy to miss if you're used to it lasting ages in storage.
I’m off dairy for the Winter. The struggle is REAL. BUT this is the BEST dairy substitute (full fat version) so far. I have tasted almond, coconut milk, rice milk, soy milk as subs for coffee and this has made its way to the #1 (dairy substitute) coffee creamer spot. NOTHING will ever replace the taste of creamer in your coffee but if you are looking for a sub, but this makes drinking coffee with non-dairy creamer complete again. You complete mmmmmY coffee? definitely worth a try. Love that it’s Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Glyphosate-free, just wish is that they also had an ORGANIC option. Hopefully soon!
Ive been using Oatly for years and I recently I purchased 12 cartons of Oatly and had to throw all of them away. Why? Because of the weird overwhelming chemical taste the milk had. I even tried making oats porridge with the milk the taste was still there, different hot drinks etc. I have also read that the company has since sold part of its shares to a company Oatly's Ma'anshan production facility which is in the Anhui Province in China. Which could explain the deterioration in quality control and taste of new batches of milk. Oatly is now part-owned by The Blackstone Group (7%), Verlinvest, China Resources (a conglomerate owned by the Chinese state), Industrifonden, ?stersj?stiftelsen, and the employees. Sadly, I will now source an alternative.
I am lactose intolerant, so this alternative "milk" has now become my new favorite. I've tried almond milk, macadamia milk, and soy milk, but oatmilk is my favorite out of all of them. I wish these came in smaller amounts, since you have to use within 7 days of opening. As a single person residing alone, I find that I use about 1/2 to 3/4 of this every 7 days, so a size smaller would be nice for people like me. I also lack vitamin D, so I find this to also be a great alternative for that as well. There's enough vitamin D in this drink to complement the vitamin D vitamins as well as any sunshine or food products I might get vitamin D from.
I switched to oat milk once I found out one of our littles had a slight milk allergy. We had tried plenty of other types of milk when deciding to switch beforehand knowing about his allergies and they did not quite fit the bill. This brand is the closest to milk as far as consistency goes. The taste isn’t so different or overpowering. It’s not too thick or thin. You can taste the oats for its extremely light. It’s perfect in my opinion. I’m VERY “picky” so if I say it’s good, it’s probably good. :) What matters most is that my boys love it. I do wish they’d make an organic version but I can live with this for now.
