The Oberheim OB-X8 Analog Synthesizer marks the return of the legendary synthesizer manufacturer Tom Oberheim after a 40-year hiatus, carrying on the iconic OB-series' legacy. The OB-X8 combines elements from classic Oberheim synthesizers including three varying voice architectures borrowed from the Ob-X, Ob-Xa and OB-8 as well as the unique filter types of each model. It gives you the power to mix and blend between the different models to achieve unique sounds never thought possible when making the originals. It also comes pre-loaded with over 400 presets including factory sounds taken from the OB-X, OB-SX, OB-Xa and OB-8. Employing a 100 percent analog signal path, the OB-X8 Analog Synthesizer provides Oberheim's trademark punch and warmth. It also comes with all the original Oberheim sounds that were used in countless hit records from artists such as Prince, Van Halen and Rush. The classic-style architecture boasts 8-voice polyphony, complete with saw, square/pulse, triangle and noise wave generators. The two discrete VCOs per voice provide the illustrious Oberheim tonality, sought after by sound designers and music producers. At the heart of the OB-X8 is a 61-key FATAR keybed (velocity/touch sensitive), allowing for fluid playability and unparalleled expression. The pitch and mod levers allow you to bend notes, add vibrato and control the arpeggiator functions for added flexibility. One of the most unique features of the OB-X8 is the vintage knob, which emulates the sound and behaviours of vintage instruments. Navigating between sounds, settings and parameters is made easy thanks to the high-resolution OLED display.
