Immersive virtual reality that doesn't need a gaming PC Don't have a gaming PC that's ready for VR? Now it doesn't matter. The Oculus Quest has an all-in-one design - so everything you need is built-in. No PC or console needed. All you have to do is put the headset on - and you're ready to jump straight into virtual reality games and experiences. You don't need tracking cameras either. The sensors are all in the headset, so as you move around in real life, you move in the game too. You can literally duck to dodge obstacles, or reach to grab something. Realistic gaming with accurate controllers But it's not just the headset that's tracked in your games. There's two controllers included, so you can reload a laser gun with a realistic movement, control a steering wheel just like in real life, or learn how to box with Rocky ¿ and it all feels as natural as possible. And because the Oculus Quest has built-in speakers, the audio of your game literally surrounds you ¿ if an enemy is approaching from the left you'll know exactly where to shoot. Thousands of games and apps available to play Whether you want to take on fantasy sword fighting games, play around with robots, explore space, or just tackle puzzles in a 3D world ¿ the Oculus game library has something for everyone. There are terrifying games that make you feel like you're actually inside a horror film, as well as guided meditation experiences to help you calm down afterwards. And there's even family friendly experiences, and educational games for the whole family to enjoy.

I love my Oculus Quest. I originally bought it to help me enjoy the VR films showing during the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW. Attending a VR film party during the quarantine was wonderful. It was the first time in months that I was able to actually attend a party with real people. Even though it was virtual, it felt real and was a lot of fun. I also love using my Oculus to do Supernatural virtual workouts. It’s added a completely new element to my fitness routine. Again, that was a lifesaver during the quarantine. All in all though, I’m really happy that I bought it.

Overall the best standalone VR headset out there. Not only can the Oculus Quest run some great games on its own, it can also act as a PCVR headset with Oculus Link. This allows you to enjoy all of what PCVR has to offer on your quest for as little as $20 (10ft USB3 C to A). Better yet, there’s an app on the Quest store called Virtual Desktop ($20) which, with a decent wifi connection, allows you to stream your desktop to your headset. With a little sideloading, this can include playing PCVR games wire-free creating a more immersive experience. My only complaint about the Quest is the comfort aspect, specifically the front-heaviness of the headset. However, this can be easily overcome with a few modifications. My two must haves are a front cover (can get a good one at VR Cover) and a counter-weight attached to the back of the headset. The front cover provides extra cushioning for your face, allowing an even tighter fit without feeling uncomfortable. As for the counter-weight, you can buy one online or create a DIY one with stuff you got lying around. Regardless of what you choose, a counter-weight works wonders since it counteracts the front heaviness by moving the center of mass to the top of your head.In my opinion, the Oculus Quest stands above all other VR headsets on the market in terms of bang for your buck. It’s performance competes with other major headsets but the Quest’s untethered and versitile nature is it’s major selling point.

Fun product, but way too expensive when you're after the lastest newest model.

An interesting product to say the least, but would never pay the insane new price for the lastest model (Quest 2). Think Facebook has gambled on a trend (the Metaverse) that won't pay off anytime soon, not because VR isn't interesting, because it surely is, but because the majority of people are challenged enough with the real world as is, and do not need an extra layer of complexity. Facebook was relatively easy to use, especially in its early days, but as always, the infinite greed has utterly destroyed its appeal and most younger people aren't even using it anymore. The whole Meta Quest experience, setting it up as a developer, is just too messy, and it often seems like Meta itself doesn't really know what they're doing and as such only with various 3rd party ... MoreAn interesting product to say the least, but would never pay the insane new price for the lastest model (Quest 2). The problem with this system is that I can’t wear it. The straps provided do not fit my head size. It is completely unacceptable to spend $400/$500 (depending on hard drive size) on a system that ends up having this sort of restriction. I followed all instructions as listed and I am unable to get it to eye level. This sort of limitation is not described anywhere on the packaging. System requirements are listed, but this physical requirement is not.I spoke with the Oculus support team about this. While they were very professional in our discussion, they are not going to be addressing this concern (even by doing something like selling a larger strap for an additional cost). That leaves me with a new VR system with all the hype in which I can’t write any sort of actual review because I can’t wear it. This is why I am unable to recommend the Oculus Quest. If you are somebody who finds baseball caps to be problematic size wise, I would think twice about purchasing this system. For what it is worth, I thoroughly enjoy my Playstation VR headset which does not have these size restrictions.

Had wanted a VR headset for some time now but I never liked the idea of being tethered to a PC so I was happy to see the Quest come out :) I prefer the idea of VR over consoles as VR will get you moving a lot more. Games like Beat Saber will get you sweating in no time, and playing games like Robo Recall without wires in the way, gives you a true 360 feeling. You might hear some negative comments regarding graphics (especially regarding ported games like Robo Recall which look far better on say, the Oculus Rift) but in all honesty, they're really good considering that all the electronics are right there in the headset. While this does make it a bit top-heavy compared to other headsets, it's still a very comfortable headset to wear once you've learned how to properly adjust it. The battery will only last a couple of hours before it needs charging but we don't see that as a bad thing as it forces you to take breaks. Charging the headset is relatively fast. The controllers are fairly hard on batteries depending on what games you play so I would recommend splurging for higher quality batteries. We're not what you'd call hard-core gamers. We might use the Oculus two to three times a week between us so it more than meets our needs. It's very easy to initially setup and it's basically a "pick-up-and-play" kinda thing. You just slap it on your head, it comes on, you play. Very easy! If you're more into fun gameplay rather than pretty polished graphics then this is the VR headset for you. Bottom line, we are quite pleased with the Oculus Quest and would definitely recommend it!

If you do not have a vr ready graphics card in your computer then get this. Also do not do any rollercoaster vr you will get motion sickness. Also what i did to salve motion sickness was drink canada dry ginger ale all the time. This helps stop motion sickness also if you feel the sweats coming on remove some clothing to cool off or wear shorts and no shirt and turn on ac. Also games like journey if the gods can give a bit of motion sickness. Just continue to drink ginger ale. Also get a battery pack type c port and velcro and velcro a power bank to the back with a type c to type a usb cord to charge the oculus quest while you play so the main batter last longer. The most fun games for me is vader immortal 3 in the dojo section and space pirate trainer. Journey of the gods is unique and awesome. Also the wizards is awesome game with magical powers you can upgrade. The fps is fine. The games make the graphics most of the time. It is not really the. R headset because i was looking at oculus quest vs valve index and oculus rift and i cant really see any terrible graphics unless the game itself is just not madefrom awesome rendering software. Hope this helps.

The Oculus quest is such an incredible peice of technology. The setup takes no more than ten minutes. You just download the oculus app on a phone or tablet and you will select your oculus device. The intense games can cause motion sickness and you dont want that to be your first experience. The battery life for me last around 3-4 hours. You can also play games while its charging because there are built in fans that keep the hardware nice and cool. If you have never played VR before i highly reccomend this headset. Here are some of the games i reccomend playing ( Beat Saber, Job Simulator, Rec Room, Richies Plank experience, The Excorcist Legion VR, Bait, VR Chat, Super Hot, and Drunkn Bar Fight. I highly reccomend this headset.

One of the best, but not THE best.

As amazing as the whole thing is, and how much of a pivotal point this system is for the history of Virtual Reality, the performance is a little bit shotty at times. The back head strap feels too light or too tight at times, even with your set size. I thoroughly reccomend getting a modded strap that you can get online, to make you feel much more comfortable. The headset really sacrifices a higher frame rate and Hertz rate for the camera freedom all around you where you can move. Not to say this thing is like horrible or something. I use it weekly, and play Beat Saber on it all the time. I just reccomend a pc virtual reality headset with a gaming pc built for VR standards, where you won't have frame rate problems, and you'll have a much better experience, including ... MoreAs amazing as the whole thing is, and how much of a pivotal point this system is for the history of Virtual Reality, the performance is a little bit shotty at times. The Oculus Quest has a very limited amount of games. Using the Oculus Link still requires you to have a gaming pc, so you might as well get the Oculus Rift S, since the Quest will have bars on the sides of your view while using Oculus Link, which kills the experience and your perception of reality. If you simply want to play with the headset with friends and/or family, then this is absolutely a go-to for you. It's fun to see their reactions and you all just have a wholesome, fun time. I love the Quest, and I always will, in the end.

The Quest is a truly amazing VR experience. On par in many ways with high end VR solutions at a fraction of the cost.Pros:Crisp screens with minimal screen door effect. Comfortable field of viewFantastic controllers that let you interact with the virtual world in all the ways you'll need to. Great gesturing system that feels natural.Comfortable headset that's surprisingly light and comfortable considering it's got everything built into it.6dof allows for a great room scale experience that can support sizes far larger than any other solution on the market.Wireless... spin round and round as much as you want without worry of a cord wrapping around you or getting tangled.Build in CPU/GPU... a step up from wireless. having the computer built into the headset ... MoreThe Quest is a truly amazing VR experience. Even wireless solutions for PCVR headsets can't allow for this level of customization of your physical: VR environment. Can charge/play... allowing you to use relatively inexpensive battery packs to keep the headset topped off for nearly endless gameplay.Cons:Low end graphics: many games have to be downscaled in many ways to make it onto the quest. Some are barely noticeable (in case the game was not demanding int he first place), while others take a notcable hit.3 hour battery requires continued charging if you want to play for long periods of time or pass it around. A bit of a pain if you don't actively keep it charged (or have a power bank).Oculus is especially restrictive on which games make it to the quest. This is a double edged sword, as you'll end up with a library of mostly fantastic games, but also be missing out on great games that they won't approve.

not impressed

No knock on VR here but the quest is garbage. I wasted an entire day and made three trips to bestbuy tring to get this thing to simply connect to my pc via usb and upload some movies i wanted to watch. 3 usb cables later and it still refused to recognize my pc. Something any other device i've connected it to does with zero issue. i try to play some games and i can't get the display to focus text. It's just super blurry with or without my glasses or contacts in. Also, there's no way to enlarge text, menues, text in games. I can enlarge text on my pc and my tablet but not this thing? That should be a mndatory feature since you can't move your eyes closer to the display. I watched some youtube videos and the colors are too saturated and the contrast is set too high and it's clipping whites and highlights. I search for an hour and can't find one single adjustment in the options for tint, hue, contrast, brightness saturation... NOTHING. There are severe godrays around anything super bright in dark scenes, I feel i have to wipe the screen constantly but obviously that isn't the issue. it's the cheap lenses. Realy not impressed and it's going right back.
