I've bought Odysseys for years. Best battery. Last the longest with the best reserve and fire power. JB had the best rate, great shipping and delivered a perfect product. This was my first attempt with JB Tools and they lived up to my expectations. I'll look to them for other stuff in the future.

I purchased this Odyssey because of the 900 CCA (cold cranking amps). After exchanging the original Advanced Auto Autocraft (Diehard template rated at 850 CCA), even the second one refused to start when it's very cold outside; about 35 degrees F or less. By the time I received the Odyssey the weather was no colder than about 40 degrees. It does consistently start, but I won't know till next season if it'll perform below 40. But since this is the most expensive battery I've ever purchased, here's to hoping it could start on the planet Pluto. ('cause it's really cold there.)

Good quality battery. This model has non-lead terminals which is a nice touch, and mine came in a box with a spec sheet which was unexpected when buying a car battery. With this you get easier cold starts (I've noticed this in practice with another battery), and you don't have to worry about cleaning off corrosion (my old battery kept corroding; though, in my case there was an issue with my terminal connections. Corrosion seems to be common with the batteries with the caps on top.) It looks nice under the hood too. If you can, get one of these. You are getting more value.

I purchased these batteries to go in a 2001 F-350 with the 7.3 engine. They fit perfectly and are very heavy, which indicates to me they have a lot of plates and should have a lot of power. The quality of construction appears to very good especially with the battery posts. Once installed the truck started right up.
Well, I'm not one to crab or complain. I just count my losses when they occur and move on. This purchase is one of those. I bought these for my F250 6.0L Diesel truck. I looked long and hard, desiring the very best for my electrical system integrity. I finally believed these would be these best most durable and maintenance free batteries I could have. So, I was excited to get them ($600!!) and expected great things. They look great, came packaged fantastic and dropped right in place. I thoroughly cleaned and inspected cables and connections for integrity. I also installed a new Mean Green 230amp high capacity alternator just to make sure of everything working great. Well, 8 mos later my batteries are at 11.4V.....dead, after sitting for two weeks. I have checked for ... MoreWell, I'm not one to crab or complain. I thoroughly cleaned and inspected cables and connections for integrity. I also installed a new Mean Green 230amp high capacity alternator just to make sure of everything working great. Well, 8 mos later my batteries are at 11.4V.....dead, after sitting for two weeks. I have checked for current draws and found none. Every car has some kind of small load I guess (radio memory, gauges??) but good grief, these are humongous batteries! They shouldn't be dead. So I'm frustrated, yes, and some would start trying to diagnose a problem saying I must have a draw somewhere, it must have gotten hot under hood, or it was cold this winter, whatever. The point for me is, all cars have these slight occasional issues, but they don't have these huge expensive batteries to carry them thru, yet they seem to do fine. These should be able to more than handle these variances. I have had lead acid flooded batteries in these same type of vehicles before (7.3 PSD) and never had a problem, except the necessary filling with water and cleaning required. So, 8 months and $600 bucks later I'm saying they are absolutley not worth the purchase. I'm going back to Walmart $98 LA flooded batteries. Even if I were to replace them every year I will be way ahead on money. I am soooo disappointed in this purchase. I just wanted the very best, and usually the most expensive is just that, the best. Not in this case. Hope for your own wallet sake you don't make the same mistake as I. Odyssey makes the statement, "ODYSSEY Extreme Series batteries have the power to provide engine-cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds – double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries. And they can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge". Obviously they are wrong. Even if I had a draw down, they claim I should be able to recharge. Not so, it just isn't so. Hope this helps you in your decisions regarding purchasing these. Good luck......and back I go to Walmart for some good 'ol conventional batteries that have served us so well all these years!
I replaced the AGM Bosch in the Truck. I also replaced my Optima in my sedan. See the other review. The Bosch is 6 years old and still going strong. But it will die in the next year or two. So I did the truck at the same time as the sedan. The The replacement AGM Odyssey is the same group size. The Odyssey specs. exceed the Bosch AGM in amp hour capacity, reserve minutes time and cold cranking amps. It even has a higher five (5) seco d peak current.Plus the Odyssey has a one hundred percent replacement for four years! But the Odyessy AGM is very expensive!!
I haven’t had this battery for very long, but I can tell you it is strong! Everyone tells me that it is a great battery. With my old battery brand, if I didnt runt the vehicle for two or more weeks, the battery would be weak or dead. Warranty gave me two or three replacements, but its ampain in the but for the same results. I have high hopes for this battery, and things are VERY good so far! Buy once, cry once they say.
Original review 2017-10:Autozone's specifications for this battery are incorrect. It is 11.83" x 7.20" x 7.43" and it will fit a 2002 F150. Works great. Happy to find a battery with a 4 year warranty and that is made in the USA. I replaced an Optima that was 12 years old. I would have gotten another Optima, but they are made in Mexico now and the reviews aren't that great. This new Odyssey battery was installed October 2017 and so far I am extremely happy with it. Hopefully I won't need to edit this review, but if it fails prematurely, I will.Update 2019-11:After 2 years in my 2002 F150 XLT SuperCab 4x4 with 8' LB and 5.4L, this battery has been perfect. You guys are awesome!! I was expecting some run around about prorated, declining warranty yada yada, I was prepared to just buy another battery, but you guys came through with the full warranty with the BATTERY I was GOING to BUY anyway . (if claiming the warranty was not going to work) ... this is great, and I will sing your praises to all my friends... great support and communication!
I have only had the battery 2 weeks however with the previous one batteries I was having some challenges with maintaining a charge after 1 year old. Decided why not buya battery from a solid , reputable company for my 2014 F150 5.0. Only time will tell however thus far I am a satisfied customer.
