I’ve now had my KO2 for about 8 years and this is my first review of them. My vehicle is a H2 Hummer and I’m running 37x12.5x17 on the stock rims at stock ride height.These tires have worn really well as far as tread depth, I have about 60k miles on them and could easily do 10-15k more if it were not for the cracking in between all of the sidewall tread blocks. Technically the tires are at the age of being replaced regardless of tread left but they have had small cracks between treads even when only 3 years old. My tires are early KO2s with the winter snowflake rating, they have performed exceptional in the snow but are happy to break lose if asked.They work fantastic in deep sand aired down, sure footed crossing deep water (~3ft), and do not hold tons of gravel. They are horrible in mud however, the KO1s were much the same but I would almost contend these are even worse in mud than the originals.The cost has exploded, I use discount tire to purchase my tires and even with the certifications they sell I originally purchased these for $1,400 otd, today to replace my current set 1:1 is now $1,900. Another issue I have with them is that they are tiny, these are not true 37s, measuring on the vehicle they are about 34.8 inches, off the vehicle about 35.6 inches, these tires should have been sold as 35s as they look tiny on my stock vehicle.With all that said, I would absolutely run these tires again they fit 95% of my use cases, they ride well on the road, they look great white letters out and they have worn very well. I will however likely be replacing them with something larger and more inexpensive in the coming months.

I've been in the habit with my past few vehicles of purchasing six wheels and tires and I do six wheel rotations and rotate them approximately every 5,000 mi. I run LT35x12.50-17R on AEV Pintler wheels on my 4.5" lifted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited and during the listed mileage I've been running ARB Old Man Emu Sport shocks and Metalcloak true dual rate coil springs on a primarily Synergy equipped short arm system and a Dynatrac Pro Rock 44U front axle housing with RCV axles and Reid Bros. steering knuckles and Timken unit bearings, Ten Factory rear axles and CJ Tatton double cardan drive shafts.I looked at some of the one star ratings on here and read with their road, and I don't understand how they wore their tires out so quickly.Both the sidewalls and the tread on all of my tires look absolutely excellent. Being as how these are E rated tires and the OEM tires are C rated tires, I run approximately 26 psi on the street. If I'm towing a trailer, particularly if it's somewhat heavy, I bring the rear tires up to 28 or 29PSI, maybe 30 at the max. And occasionally I'll bump the front tires up a couple of pounds as well.

Excellent on the wet stuff and life changing in the snow. The places 4x4 was nearly impossible on the stock tires these drove through in 2wd with near zero issues. Currently have 32,000 on them and still have excellent wet traction and snow performance. Definitely getting another set. They do have some hum to them on certain types of pavement but they haven’t gotten louder over the 30,000 miles. They stay balanced and smooth making highway performance quite good. Nice off-road-inspired looking tire when BFGoodrich dosen't make a KO2 tire to match your mid-sized truck's tire size. I wont go smaller, and there is too much of a jump to the next to get a size up to feel comfortable sizing up to a KO2.Over all it handles well. My truck is AWD.On dry roads the Trail-Terrain handle great. no skipping, squeaking, sliding, or traction warnings even under spirited driving. I don't feel there was a significant increase in road noise going from the highway tire i replaced (after a flat).Off paved roads, I have had no problems, i don't slide around on gravel, grass or dirt. I have driven through muddy areas without issue, where others with 2WD got stuck.Snow in Colorado didn't give me any major issues. These tires struggle under freshly wet Texas roads. Breaking hard enough to my vehicle lean a little to make a short stop or a quick turn can easily produce straight line slide. Turning doesn't produce any major back end sliding, but AWD may be helping there.
I bought my most recent set of the KO2's in December 2021. They're on my 2006 Chevy 1500 Z71. I have a little over 60,000 miles on them now and it's about time for another set. This next set will be my 4th set of these on 2 different trucks, and I've always got at least 60,000 miles every set. These are hands down, no competition the best all around tire on the market. I drive a half ton truck so I really don't need the 10 ply rating as far as weight goes so to offset for ride comfort I've always ran these tires at 28 psi and have never seen any downsides as a result. I've never had a tire failure from one, even driving them low (5-8 psi) without realizing it due to the super stiff carcass. Even with 0 psi in one the rim will still not go to the ground. By 20k miles, they were completely worn out even though I drive like a grandpa and rotated them every 3k, but the mountain roads do play a part in comparison to someone who mainly drives on straight roads/highways. Went to see what pro rating they'd offer at America's Tire where I had them installed and they said the 50k warranty was void because I lived in the mountains. The same mountains I lived on when purchasing them originally where they told me about the 50k warranty. Smh. Replaced a 3 yr old set of grabber at3 LT tires for these 3 months ago and am left very disappointed. These seemed like the perfect solution to a more aggressive, yet forgiving tire for the road, but still offered good winter attributes. How wrong I was. First, I will say that these are nice on dry pavement, mostly quiet, except when braking from over 30mph, they sound like worn out MT tires, they also have a nice ride. This is where the positives end. I was hoping for a smoother ride, which I got, good in the snow, which they are not, and possible better gas mileage coming from a heavy LT tire, which they don’t provide. In ... MoreReplaced a 3 yr old set of grabber at3 LT tires for these 3 months ago and am left very disappointed. These seemed like the perfect solution to a more aggressive, yet forgiving tire for the road, but still offered good winter attributes. How wrong I was. First, I will say that these are nice on dry pavement, mostly quiet, except when braking from over 30mph, they sound like worn out MT tires, they also have a nice ride. This is where the positives end. I was hoping for a smoother ride, which I got, good in the snow, which they are not, and possible better gas mileage coming from a heavy LT tire, which they don’t provide. In heavy wet snow, I fishtail around every corner, in light fluffy snow they are ok. It seems like they have no lateral traction. I know that not all 3 mountain peak rated tires are not the same, but these are no better than any other tire. These are on a 2017 Nissan Armada also, not a pick-up, so there is plenty of weight in the rear. I don’t know what to do next, take them off and eat a big chunk to go back to the Generals, or stick it out for a couple more years dealing with an unsafe tire in the snow.
Hi AllTires are on a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4. I've always had the original BFG Rugged Trail T/A's that came on the Tacoma originally and would get about 67k - 70k miles with them.I was happy with them - quiet on the road and served me well. I was up for tire replacement again and this time I couldn't buy the Rugged Trails anymore as they have been discontinued.The tire shop said these Trail-Terrains are the replacement. For some reason at about 60mph and higher they make vibration on the floor of the truck and through the seat - below 55mph is ok - 65mph vibration is still there and 70mph isn't as noticeable but still there.Have taken the truck back in to have the tires rebalanced - same problem still exists and is enough that I really don't want to ... MoreHi AllTires are on a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4. Purchased the Trail Terrains a few years back. I normally run KO2s on my summer off-road adventure vehicle and Generals for my year round adventure vehicle/daily driver (better on ice than KO2s). I’ve been running this combination for years on my 4Runner and Land Cruiser with excellent results. Sadly the Generals were discontinued. I decided to give the Trail Terrains a go.I am completely disappointed with the performance of the Terrains. These are nothing like the Grabbers I’ve used through the typical Michigan winters. I asked to get BFGoodrich involved, and just as the folks at Discount Tire predicted, BFGoodrich wouldn’t do anything. I decided to stay with the tires until replaceent time.That was about two years ago. Now with 45,000 miles on these, I’m getting them replaced with something else.
