I've had one of these for just over a month now, and overall I've been pleased. My experience has not been entirely seamless, however.I've not had the experience other people have described regarding batteries depleating abnormally, but I have had my unit beep somewhat consistently without apparent cause. I have had no issues with my pair of SmartTag2. They connected easily and stay connected. The inner metal ring and new casing make buying a seperate tag holder unnecessary and the metal ring guards against wear and tear when on a key ring. And the battery life has been greatly improved since the first version of the Tag. I haven't needed to change the batteries yet and I've been using the SmartTag2's for about 4 months or so and the battery indicators show no sign of low batteries.I can't understand the negative reviews. I recommend this product.
Been using since Tag 1 and now Tag 2, no more lost house keys and car keys.Have more than 10 tags in total.With the extra loop at the end of Tag 2, I can hook my keys to it.Looking forward to a slim version.Not sure why so many -ve reviews? This product is a life saver and I do hope Samsung continues to develop on this, despite all these negative reviews that doesn't seem to make sense.Just tested a few tags again just to make sure and they work.Only complaint is the find my tag sometimes receives strange "ghost signals" which detects a tag that isn't there. Not often but it does.

MoreThe sans SmartTag2 is a very good idea to get a close location on anything you want to attach it to. With the correct phie settings and everything setup properly you can locate the SmartTag2 within inches of the actual phys location it is in. You can choose to go with basic location and it's still accurate only to a lesser level of exactness. Permissions for the location within the closest possible proximity do offer downsides for security if you kept it active at all times but it is an option to inact when required and doesn't have to be active all the time. So I highly recommend the SmartTag2 for the location properties and it is a good ohys product as it comes unless you want to use it in an environment with high impact and it would be a good idea to get a protective case in an environment like that. I highly recommend it and I give it 5 stars. Samsung did really well with the SmartTag2.
Really like these a lot. Didn't realize how often you leave things behind until they're tagged. Even if your wallet is safe at your house it's really nice to know you're not near it. Used for Wallet, Car keys, Back Pack and Ace. My Dog. Really cool that other SAMSUNG phones can help find my doggie if he ever wanders away. Kinda Stinks that the other phones have to be enrolled in Smart Things in order to ping the tag though. All SAMSUNG phones should ping them in my opinion. Nevertheless I am very pleased w/purchase. They were on sale directly from SAMSUNG. Basically got one tag free. They really do provide a sense of security knowing that you can always find your stuff. The camera search feature is really nice. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes to know where their stuff is located.
When the tracking works with camera it is nice but the app has crashed on me a few times and worked only a couple times to use camera to show where the item is. Seems to only work if you are far enough away.The biggest downside for me is that it does not integrate into Google's ecosystem forcing you yet again to use Samsung's. This would be a nice tag if opened up to more androids.Ideally it is 3.5/5 but will give it a 4 since I don't feel it deserves a 3.With all this said, I bought these on sale for $75 and price matched to $70. At under $20 a tag, this is decent. Tougher sell at full price with all limits and Samsung ecosystem.
