OGX Conditioner Smoothing + Liquid Pearl 385ml

Let me start by saying that I have nearly waist length, thick, curly/wavy hair that is prone to frizziness. I typically use Aquage, but am always looking for something that is more cost effective and (hopefully) works as good, if not better. Overall, this product line (I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and serum) is pretty good. It isn't the greatest smoothing line I've ever used, and didn't completely eliminate any frizziness, nor did it leave my hair "lustrously shiny," but it didn't dry my hair out or cause more frizz.I used it several days and experimented with styling:Day 1 , I used all 3 products (4 pumps of serum) and let it air dry overnight; the result was less frizz than regular shampoo, but nothing to write home about.Day 2, , I used all 3 ... MoreLet me start by saying that I have nearly waist length, thick, curly/wavy hair that is prone to frizziness. I didn't notice a difference in the amount of shine, and I also didn't detect a tacky feeling, so must have distributed the product better/differently through my hair.Day 4, I used all 3 products (6 pumps of serum) and blow dried my hair like I normally do. While there is no detectable tackiness and my hair does feel soft, it is no shinier than normal and has much more frizz than I would like it to have.Like I said initially, this isn't a bad product line for the cost, but left me wanting in a few areas - primarily with regard to frizz control. Would I use it again? Probably, but definitely prefer the results from the Aquage product line over this.

It smells okay by itself, but it ends up smelling even better when you pair it with the Liquid Pearl shampoo. I found that when applying it to your hair, a little does not go a long way. You need quite a bit of it in order to condition all of your hair. I'm also so used to running my fingers through my hair with the conditioner in it, but you can't do that with this product. When it is rinsed out and I comb through my hair, it actually ends up making it pretty soft, and when I use my hair dryer and hot brush, it really makes it soft. I'm having trouble deciding if it should get two stars or three... I like the bottle, it's little and cute! The color of the conditioner is beautiful 😍 I like the way it makes my hair feel after my hair dries! A little bit goes a long way.. and preferably even if it didn't i probably wouldn't use too much at a time.. here's why. It has a horrendous scent. It literally makes me want to puke. It's like a chemical type smell to me. Its so bad that i actually stopped using it. It's pretty terrible. I guess it would not be so bad if it was just the way it smelt like in the shower when I'm using it.. but it lingers, forever it seems like! I loved this product as soon as I started using it, my hair feels so soft and healthy, is smells heavenly, and I looks amazing. Is been a while since a hair product has leave me speechless and this one did. I usually need to style my hair after watching it because it would look like a big mess but this time I didn’t have to cause the product did the work for me and the results are really showing up. I read the instructions and I followed them as I should and the result was amazing. I used each product as it was instructed, all together to really see if the combo will work, and it actually did. I received this complementary for reviewing purposes in a VoxBox. As I stated in the shampoo review, I was quite disappointed by this line. I needed to use 3-4x as much as I normally do, and didn’t feel particularly well conditioned afterwards. While cute, I don’t love the packaging because there’s no vent for air to go in while you pour the product out, so the bottle sucks the product back in, and you can’t stand it upside down to help because of the round lid. I found my hair was very dry and frizzy after using this, and not smooth or shiny compared to my usual, which is not targeted to shine or smoothing. In addition, my hair will not hold curl when I use this, either naturally or if I attempt to add curl. Got this as part of a voxbox. I can honestly say I was not looking forward to trying this shampoo after not enjoying the serum at all. Put simply. I did not enjoy the shampoo either. I feel like the whole line is pretty gimmicky in what it is trying to achieve - my hair does not look shiny or silky or "like a mermaid" whatsoever.I enjoyed the way it felt and applied in the shower - the scent is great, it built up a soft fluffy lather very quickly and washed out to feel smooth and soft. 90% of the time I let my hair air dry, and I don't often dry my hair with a blowdryer, so this is based off of letting my hair air dry as usual. I’ve been using this product for four months now. I absolutely love the fragrance and my hair is so soft and shiny I’m afraid to go back to what I was using before. I’ve gotten multiple compliments on how good my hair smells. I have very fine hair so I have to be careful to use products that don’t weigh it down. I’ve never had that problem with this product. Absolutely MER-MAZING

I used this shampoo/conditioner once and am already 100% sold. This might be the best shampoo I've ever used, seriously. I have dry, wavy, frizzy hair so when I straighten it, which is rare because it's so dry and coarse it takes too long and is never shiny. After using these products I straightened my hair, which took about half the time as normal, and it was MER-MAZINGLY shiny. I paired it with the Pracaxi Recovery combing oil, which could be the reason for my success, but this works great so I'll stick with this combination of products. I shampooed, conditioned, gently towel dried, and combed through the recovery oil, then let it air dry, which takes nearly an entire day (I pull it back), then in the evening I straightened it and got a MER-MAZING smooth and shiny ... MoreI used this shampoo/conditioner once and am already 100% sold. Gentle wash, enjoyable scent

It cleans well, but gently my dry, porous hair. I love the smell. It's artificial, but it reminds me of my Barbie perfumes which were in set with my doll and as well Le Fleur Juicy Couture perfume. My hair isn't very smooth or shiny after washing, but definitely more manageable. However, I have really dry, porous hair and haven't found a product which makes my hair really smooth yet. I like the bottle, it's a nice design, but very unpractical.
