OGX Hydrate and Repair Extra Strength Hair Conditioner Argan Oil 385ml

When I received this conditioner I was so excited to try it! I love argan oil products and this did not disappoint. I can always tell a good conditioner while putting it in my hair. It was a little harder to put in and takes a little more time for my long hair but well worth it. I waited about 4 min and it was great. I rinsed it out easy and it made my hair smell great all day. After styling my hair looked so good! The shine was wonderful and it looked very soft. I did however think it would feel softer but I’m hoping after a couple months of using it it will repair my hair and make it super soft. Definitely will be using in my routine! I received these products from Influenster and ogx in exchange for my honest review.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy this conditioner, and how silky my hair feels after using it. Plus, the smell is so lovely. Not strong, not overly anything. It just smells clean and fresh and light. I end up smelling my hair a lot the day after I wash it, which is hilarious. I use this conditioner in combination with the matching shampoo. Now, this might be total coincidence or due to some other factor, but before I started using them, I felt like I was shedding so much more hair in the shower. It freaked me out a bit to look at the drain after I washed it. But since I’ve started using this combo, barely any strands come out during a wash. HUGE difference. I love this product and there is nothing that I didn't dislike the packaging is cute, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and is salon Worthy. THIS Conditioner has been bashed but they upgraded thier ingredients! Paired with their dry oil argan your hair will look better than ever! Maybe update the packaging but I'm a stronger believer in the old ways I think ogx is one of those that keeps thier older advertising! I bought this because it was recommended as an option for the curly girl method if you don't want to completely give up using shampoo. I tried using cleansing conditioner and just found that my hair never felt clean. I have fine, wavy 2A hair that gets greasy very quickly even though I've been trying to only wash my hair every 2-3 days or so for months now. I like that this shampoo still lathers because I have an OCD thing about getting a good lather in my hair (I feel like its not actually getting clean unless it lathers!) and it smells amazing, like light and sweet coconut. A lot of other sulfate free shampoos I've tried either don't lather at all or just barely. This shampoo and conditioner line is not the worst, but not the best. It doesn’t really pull me in one direction or another- that being said, there’s no stand-out qualities to this product except for its affordability. I didn’t find that it was any more moisturizing than other conditioners (marketed for moisture or not). When putting the conditioner in my hand, it felt soft and looked like it was packed full of oils. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a slight gold tinge to it which always feels fun. It’s clear that there is artificial fragrance to this product, and even when it feels cheap you can’t help but enjoy smelling your intoxicating hair even hours after showering.

I am so surprised at the luxury look and feel of this conditioner. It smelled really good and worked so well it stays in my shower now. As a celiac I cannot just use any ole conditioner as many of them are contaminated by gluten. This one is gluten free and I can assure you other celiacs out there that this will not get you sick by leaving the gluten protein behind on your hands to get you sick. This company is responsible and lists out all their gluten free products. This is the best conditioner I’ve found and I highly recommend it.

I have chemically treated hair that is dry as a result. I find this conditioner to be good. It does seem to lock in some moisturise without weighing it down. I used the conditioner and oil, as well as another Korean hair mask and Japanese styling product in the above picture. When I was sent the bundle of OGX shampoo/conditioner/oil, I did try them exclusively on another occasion and found that my hair was still quite dry and tangled afterwards. Though I enjoyed the smell, over time, I experienced significant scalp irritation from this product. I don’t think OGX hair products are for me and my sensitive scalp. I do have a history of dandruff issues and sensitive skin. Both went wild when using this shampoo. My hair also started shedding at a higher rate than normal. Once I switched back to my usual dandruff shampoo and a different conditioner, my scalp calmed down and my hair gained some strength. Definitely don’t recommend this product unless your scalp and hair can handle anything.

I used to use this brand pretty exclusively. I liked the scents of the product and it seemed to cleanse my hair nicely. I liked it until I noticed that my hair was drastically thinner compared to the start of me using their products. I stopped immediately and within months my hairs started growing back and filling back in. I worked in the beauty industry at the time and had many friends that used their products and noticed the exact same issue with hair loss. It’s not worth it. Do not use these products. There’s so many better products out on the market in this price range.
