OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Penetrating Oil 100ml

Overall I liked these OGX Argan oil hair products more than I expected. I typically use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner since my hair is fine. But my hair is dryer and fuller since living in the desert, so the moisture from these worked well and made my hair feel silky and strong. I did find these have too much protein for my hair to use all the time, so I’m mixing these in once a week for an extra dose of hydration without weighing my hair down too much. As directed, I used a very small amount of OGX Argon Oil of Morocco Extra Strength Extra Penetrating Oil on damp hair. I truly turned the bottle over and let one drip of oil fall out without squeezing, rubbed it between my hands and worked it into my hair starting at the bottom where it was driest. I also wiped my hands off on a towel before applying any to my roots as my hair naturally gets oily fairly quick. I felt the need to shower after a day because my hair was thick and visibly oily. I’ve been training my hair and worked up to four days between washing, this oil made it feel like day 3 hair after only one day. THIS oil is a dry oil so it does not make your hair greasy I used it after a bath or shower when my hair was wet and the results were amazing after a couple times of using this product argan oil for dry and coarse hair. The serum is not too cheap or too pricey and does quite a good job at giving your hair some moisture, ‘some’ being the key word. (I have borderline thick (both hair strand and hair quantity), wavy, moderately frizzy hair). The oil takes only a few drops and taking more than needed will definitely make your hair feel greasy. It doesn’t totally take away frizz but tones it down a bit. The oil is not a heat protectant, so I wouldn’t put it on my hair before drying or styling it with any kind of heat. When I air dry my hair, I do notice that applying this oil on my towel dried hair speeds up the air drying process (but not by too much). So that’s a good point to note when in rush. this is an inexpensive hair oil with an expensive feel, scent and quality! a small squeeze of this covers my ends and leaves my hair smelling nutty and sweet. it keeps my hair looking shiny and tames any frizz or dryness without staying oily or sticky to the touch. this absorbs nicely and i’ve owned the same bottle for over a year and it’s more than half full still. only thing i sometimes have an issue with is the thickness of the oil, i use sparingly because too much can saturate hair and make it not able to dry, but if applied with a small amount and when your hair is wet , it’s perfect! i also apply a dime sized amount after styled my hair and it adds extra shine

I just received it and I love it already! It made my hair really soft, smooth and shiny! Some people complain this is full of chemicals (silicones) that are bad for the hair. The hair is dead and if you want it smooth and shiny, you need to condition it with things like emollients, and some also act as occlusives to seal everything in (such as silicones and argan oil) and they also act as a protective barrier against things like humidity (bye bye frizzy hair). The only problem with silicones is that some are hard to get out the hair, but if you use an appropriate shampoo once in a while (one with sulfates works very well), you will prevent too much build up from happening. Also, don’t use too much, you will make your hair look greasy. I use 2 pea sized amount on each half, but if you have fine hair, use a lot less.
