OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil 100ml

While the OGX Argan oil shampoo and conditioner ruined my hair, this product would coat my hair and help my curls stay defined and keep the frizz at bay. I do not recommend this product to anyone that has fine or straight hair as it will make your hair look very greasy. Even though it’s a silicone/methicone that is coating your hair, my hair still looks greasy if I put more than a quarter size in my hip-length curly hair. But I do recommend it to my dry, curly haired friends that are trying to find products that will help their curls look defined and healthy, even if it’s not the case and you badly need to get rid of those split ends like me.

This argan oil is good for the price, but I think there are better oils on the market. I typically use this when I need my curls to be more separated or as a deep conditioning treatment on hair wash days. The formula is very silky and you only need a little bit. The smell is also very nice and not overly pungent. I feel as though this oil sits on top of the hair versus penetrating, so it’s definitely better for styling. Overall, it’s an affordable oil that is good for beginners.

I've picked this up a couple times in a pinch when I've run out of my HG MoroccanOil Treatment and I'm disappointed every time. It's honestly worth spending the extra to go for the splurge and not the dupe in this case—this just isn't the same. The biggest difference seems to be that this doesn't use the same silicones that the MoroccanOil version does, and it lacks linseed oil, which the MoroccanOil has (providing the fatty acid alpha linolenic acid). It also has C12-15 alkyl benzoate, an emollient that MoroccanOil doesn't have at all, and it's ABOVE argan oil in the ingredients.This stuff is noticeably thinner/runnier (maybe because of the C12-15 alkyl benzoate?) and feels lighter weight both in my hand and on the hair. I have very long, semi thick hair, that's very coarse. I use shampoo and conditioner regularly but sometimes that's not enough to give me the sleek shine I like, or if I need help defining my waves during a blowout, the OGX Morrigan and Argan oil is wjat I turn to. It's got a very pleased scent to it, and you need only about a Nickle sized amount distributed through the hair to get the desired results. I bought a little bottle maybe about a year ago for roughly $7 and it is still more than halfway full with constant use. I love the shine it gives my hair and I love how effective it is. And the smell is so fragrant and nice! It makes me feel like I've just come out of a spa day. You can find this at most retailers and like I mentioned it's under $10.

The serum is not too cheap or too pricey and does quite a good job at giving your hair some moisture, ‘some’ being the key word. (I have borderline thick (both hair strand and hair quantity), wavy, moderately frizzy hair). The oil takes only a few drops and taking more than needed will definitely make your hair feel greasy. It doesn’t totally take away frizz but tones it down a bit. The oil is not a heat protectant, so I wouldn’t put it on my hair before drying or styling it with any kind of heat. When I air dry my hair, I do notice that applying this oil on my towel dried hair speeds up the air drying process (but not by too much). So that’s a good point to note when in rush. This is my go-to product for keeping my curls after a shower. For a long time, I struggled with keeping my fine, curly hair from turning into a puffball after it dries, but this is new my favorite thing. If I only have time to put in one product, this is it. If my curls are losing shape on a humid day, I grab a drop of this and rub it into my hair. It's awesome. You only need a little bit to get the job done; otherwise your hands get a little oily (probably this product's only drawback).

this is an inexpensive hair oil with an expensive feel, scent and quality! a small squeeze of this covers my ends and leaves my hair smelling nutty and sweet. it keeps my hair looking shiny and tames any frizz or dryness without staying oily or sticky to the touch. this absorbs nicely and i’ve owned the same bottle for over a year and it’s more than half full still. only thing i sometimes have an issue with is the thickness of the oil, i use sparingly because too much can saturate hair and make it not able to dry, but if applied with a small amount and when your hair is wet , it’s perfect! i also apply a dime sized amount after styled my hair and it adds extra shine

A friend recommended to me to protect my hair from the dry weather here. I usually don’t go for leave in products especially oil after hair wash since I fear they’d weigh my hair down and increase build up. But this is hands down the best oil/ leave in hair hydration product. I literally use it after every wash whatever shampoo, this is a constant. Doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, reduces frizz and keeps its soft. A few drops depending on volume, use in towel dried wet hair only. The Applicator pump is super convenient. There’s a faint nice smell nothing too strong. Pro tip: if you apply henna or any organic masks definitely apply this after your wash!

I dye my hair a lot so my hair is almost always crunchy feeling after the shower. I apply it by scrunching it in and making sure to really blend it to every piece of hair and it literally transforms my hair to a super soft smooth finish. Very impressed!

I was actually super impressed by this oil. I have fine, low porosity 2C-3B curls. I have a hard time finding any oil that won’t just sit on top of my hair and make it heavy and/or greasy. Because this one specified that it was “penetrating,” I decided it was worth a try, after all, the price is too good to pass up. This oil has made my hair SO soft and so shiny, and has even given my hair a surprising amount of bounce and volume! I am super please and very impressed. The silicones don’t bother me because I do clarify my hair with a sulfate shampoo every three to four washes. Since a small amount goes a long way, the bottle will last me a long time. Which is great considering it’s super affordable too. It also smells incredible. Definitely will repurchase in the future!
