My German car is now off warranty, so I am back to changing the oil and filter myself. CT website was the first place to look for a recommended oil filter. CT parts guys were very helpful when I went to pick it up.

Quality product - use on VW, Audi, BMW etc. Glad they are now readily available at Canadian Tire. Just put one in our 2007 VW Rabbit. Will use for our BMW also.

This was the only brand available for my car at the time of purchase, I had never used this brand before but it seems to be good quality, it came with all the gaskets and crush washer.

Drained the oil went to install a new Mann HU925/4X, the recommended filter by Mann and Canadian tire. Filter is too long and design and both ends of filter is not correct.
Compared to the Fram filter this Mann-Filter is a much more superior.Up to this point I’ve been only using Fram because it was the only option thatCanadian Tire had for my high-compression (BMW) engine.Three months ago I thought I’d try one of the Mann-Filter so I bought one.Today I went to Canadian Tire to buy a second Mann-Filter so I can change my oil,I finished the oil change and I was surprised what I saw when I took out thefirst Mann-Filter out, The pleats of the Mann-Filter where are still straight compared all the Fram filters that I’ve used in the past their plates were crooked. Mann-Filters have better build materials inside them. From now on I’ll only order Mann-Filters from Canadian Tire for my BMW.
This isn’t a spin on filter as advertised. It is a cartridge filter. I haven’t installed it yet but anticipate no issues.\
Used this for my BMW. BMW oil filters for my e90 ('06 325) are made by MANN, even the ones I get from the dealers all say MANN, just an added BMW/MINI logo on it. Random oil change and was out of filters, did not expect CT to actually carry MANN Filters, no problems, exact same as my usual purchase from parts stores. Only thing is it's actually a couple $ bucks more at CT compared to the dealer, but I needed it day after-hours. All and all, good filter, would recommend especially if you wanted something OEM. Never a problem!
This filter is what Mercedes Benz uses. Mann makes all Mercedes Benz filters air and oil filters. Only difference is the Mercedes ones are branded with the Mercedes emblem and cost 25% more at the dealership.
this item is wrong. went home drained my oil for my 2012 a6 c7 and when I opened the filter box it's a metal canister type filter. my uses the cartridge type filter. I have bought the correct item many times at CT previously. Had I been an ill-informed person I would have spent hours trying to install a wrong part that was labeled as for this vehicle, which was also verified instore. please correct your catalog instore and online. the Fram filter item is correct. just wish I can purchase the Mann filter as I always did.
I try the FRAM Extra Guard once instead of the Mann HU816 in my BMW X3, the FRAM Extra Guard was totally undone and not in its original shape, literally like wet cardboard, in the housing after only 6,000 km of use.So this was the last time I ever used the FRAM in my BMW, I will always use this filter as long as they are available... :-)
