I used it to train for an open water swim and the shorty did give sufficient buoyancy and protection against cooler weather & water temperature. It stretches slightly with use, so it is better to buy a smaller fit if intended for swimming.

This wetsuit is excellent for the price. It allowed me to swim in a cold North Sea in bad weather for well over an hour before I started to feel cold. My only complaint is that on the second day of wearing the wetsuit, the collar started to rub the side of my neck. This became quite painful. But for the price, you can't expect perfection.

Bought as a trial run before shelling out on a decent shorty. For £16 you cant go wrong...if you can get one that fits properly. I,m 5'6", 42" Chest, 34" Waist. Bought the Large and boy did I struggle, managed to squeeze into it but could not zip it up even with the help of the other half. Exchanged it no problem for the Extra Large, can get in and out of it ok and zip it up by myself, but it is just a little bit baggy around the waist and groin area, but all in all pleased with the purchase.

I'm using this wetsuit for open water swimming and it is easy to put on, gives good freedom of movement for crawl or breaststroke. A slight remark is that it would be nice to have a slightly higher neck and the velcro to keep the pull string at the back is a bit difficult to undo. Overall though a great value purchase.
I have never worn a wetsuit however I wouldn’t be without one now, it is entry level but for the money it’s great. I am normally a large but opted for xtra large which was the right choice. Keeps the cold edge away and dries quickly. Very easy to get on and off.
I’m 6ft 4 and without having something vital removed there is just not enough distance in the design between crotch and shoulder. Normally wear xl clothes so ordered 2xl wet suit. If sizes are one or two sizes out on any conventional sizing system you need to go up to 3xl or 4xl.Delivery was also later than quoted but was on the shelf in the shop so May as well not bothered with the click and collect
Bought in Large Man size for my 16 year old and it only just fitted me - a 5ft 2 size 10 petite lady! Material felt itchy too. Have sent back promptly for a refund. Great, efficient service from Decathlon though, as always.
Normally I wearing size M, but I feel a bit loose, so I end up swap to size S for better snug fit. No complaint for the price I pay. Good for summer and tropical water.
I measured my chest and hip which came up as large. Other comments suggested the sizes are smaller than expected so went for next size up XL. On receiving the garment, it was still too small and unable to zip up. This is the third garment I have had from Decathlon that has been too small so looks like a general size correction is needed.
