3 generations of my family have used Olay

Olay has have several names over the years.it has span 3 generations of my family my Nan ,my mum and myself.I love and trust the Olay brand I have done since I was about 18 I am now 51.I have used several types of the Olay brand ,from the cheaper ones to the ones I use now day collagen max (white one )and retinol max night (purple one )

A lovely light and absorbent serum

I’m a loyal and avid fan of Olay and I’ve been using its products for more than 30 years adjusting my choice of their products according to my age. I’m now using their Regenerist range for mature skin and it’s suit me very well.I found the daily moisturiser wasn’t quite enough to use on its own for my skin, so I now use the serum before applying the moisturiser which keeps my complexion hydrated the whole day. It’s a light and easily absorbed serum without leaving an oily film left on your skin. Love it and recommend it. I have only one critic: it is quite pricey but there are usually offers available at half price so it’s an opportunity to stock up.

Burnt my skin!

This product looks like it has great reviews and is a big push in the reason to why I bought it. It burnt my skin and made it look awful. I only used it for 2 days but that was enough. Awful. Maybe I have sensitive skin but it should not burn someone’s skin!! Especially round the eye area which is where it is supposed to help, made my skin worse than it has ever been in my life

Great if your looking tired / rundown

I really like this instant fresh look on eye area. Doesn’t actually tighten skin or magically remove lines and make your skin younger but it certainly does work as a good cover up before applying makeup. In a matter of fact I’ve used this and not applied make up as it makes you look fresh. Very expensive for the size of the pot you get and should be marketed between £15-£20 max but you do only need a minimal amount so should last. I’ll be using again and purchasing for my mum but just don’t expect miracles as this is not Botox or a facelift but will take those dark tired circles away for sure.

Great product

Im reviewing this product because I got a free coupon from Ocado. To be honest,its better than what I expected as I thought it would be too heavy for summer. The texture is nice and light,not greasy or sticky,fragrance free and it works pretty well. However,as it contains 0.5% of retinol,you should really start with once or twice a week and then increase the frequency (slowly) if your skin is ok with it,so your skin has time to get used to it - for some people it could take a month or so.

Limit use to twice a week initially

I wasnt aware when I bought this Retinol cream that you need to take care and only use it twice a week initially to get used to it. I have ended up with Retinol burn. In a week or so my skin should be back to normal; but currently it feels tight, stingy and itchy at the same time. It is though, supposed to be an excellent cream. So take care.

Pleasant product with the bonus of sun protection.

I like that the product has 30 SPF and it does apply pleasantly. However, I have noticed some dry skin on my forehead which has needed some more intense moisturising. It is fine at the discounted price of the £10 Tuesday offer, but I'm not sure whether I'd buy it again. A longer term use is needed to be able to review the product in more detail.

TERRIBLE AVOID GIVES ALLERGIES

I previously used the the Oley regenerist and it was ok, so I bought this one with only reading the Superdrug reviews.. Apparently this créam and and the Collagen have thousands negative reviews due to bad skin allergies they give you!!Once I applied it on my face after 10mins it started burning and is gone red and itch..! My cheeks swollen and I stayed red and itch for two days!!I can't understand if there are so many thousands negative reviews why Olay doesn't remove from the shelves this product is clearly not the best!!Furthermore I cannot return and get a refund from Superdrug, I understand i opens it but to me is faulty as I am not the only one!
