Old Spice Classic 188ml After Shave

I have the real old spice aftershave in glass bottles (labeled original) and while this smells close its not the same. The ones i got were produced last year and came with matching body spray in a gift pack so i know some warehouse out there is producing the real deal. Not sure whats up with the different scents its confusing and I'm wasting money trying to find the real old spice.

This is the aftershave my boyfriend uses and I absolutely LOVE it! It has the bold scent of the vanilla undercut with what I believe is a wood scent. In addition to the pleasant smell it leaves my guys face so soft. Every time he uses I just want to snuggle up to him! Would love a #VoxBox of more #OldSpice for him to try!

Excellent for the price!

I remember the original scent as a kid, my grandfather used to wear Old Spice. It was also the first after shave I used myself, because 20 years ago, there were nowhere near the variety of affordable scents available. Old Spice, Skin Bracer and Brut, that was basically it. Old Spice back then from my memory had a REALLY STRONG long lasting smell to it. You could put it on in the morning, go to work or school, and people would still notice it 8hrs later. I LOVED the smell of it! It has a flowery, rose, nutmeg, creamy vanilla, with a dash of rum type of scent to it. It's a clean scent as well. I wear it even when I'm at home by myself because I enjoy it so much. I would say the original scent from 20+ years ago you would only need to use a few drops, like a dab behind both ears and you were good. Now, with this newer version, it seems like I have to cup my hand and shake a few sprinkles into my palm, rub my hands together, and splash it on my face to get the same effect. They may have done this so that we have to use more/buy more, or the original may have just been a little too potent/overpowering. And I kind of like that it's been toned down a bit actually. You don't want to knock people over with it. You can splash on a little extra, or measure it a little better, depending on how intense you want it. For a low cost scent, I really don't think it gets much better than this!

Get back the ORIGINAL OLD SPICE scent

I am a 60 year old female so I personally have never used the original Old Spice aftershave but my Daddy did. It was the scent that brought wonderful memories to me and my sister. I have a good friend at church and he mentioned that he used to use Old Spice until the scent changed. I began looking on the internet to see if I could find the original and was very pleased when aI ran across the “classic”. After reading the reviews, I came to the decision that I would NOT make a purchase for my friend and am sorry because I was really hoping to smell Daddy again. So sad 😞

Not happy it is not Original Old Spice scent!

To the Manufacturer: I bought this thinking it was really the Original Scent, but it is not. My 50 year old son has been wearing it since he started shaving because his Grandfather always wore it, and he does not like the new scent and is very disappointed, as is my Grandson. He started wearing it as soon as he started shaving (he is 22). It is very sad . To Walmart: The packing it was mailed in was just a mailing envelope, so the box was smashed and the plastic bottle sprung a leak, we lost about 1/3 of the aftershave- the delivery person said his truck smelled of the aftershave but there was nothing he could do about it. Poor packaging.

Not the same Old Spice anymore

haven't bought any Old Spice in a long time, was going to order some. Saw all the number of reviews listed, got curious, thought I would read some, found out, the scent has been completely changed, Now I'm no longer interested in buying it anymore. It's the reason I wanted to buy some again, for the original scent I was so accustomed to for so many many years. People need to learn to quite "re-inventing" Originals.

Old Spice is truly classic

Old Spice is truly classic. I've been using it for 70 years. My grandson, 14, thinks it's great and has his own Old Spice. The package says "If your grandfather had not used it, you would not exist," and I like that slogan. My wife likes the scent. I have other colognes, each of which costs more than Old Spice, and they're good, but Old Spice is both good and classic. "Old Spice means quality/ said the captain to the bo'sun/ so, look for the package/ with the ship that sails the ocean; yo ho! yo ho!"

Original scent, NOT!

This is NOT the original scent. I have a bottle of the original scent and I just know exactly what it smells like. I bought a bottle yesterday at Walmart so I have enough. About a year ago, I went to an old time double razor and love it now that I have mastered the technique. I’m on this old time retro kick and I love it, so I bought old spice aftershave. It’s not even close. It smells like cheap dollar store cologne. I’m returning it, it’s terrible. Oddly enough, the spray cologne version( only 50 cents more, is actually the original scent. Sad...

The scent has changed.

I bought one of these back in 2014 and loved it, it was time for a refill so I bought it again. I was concerned about smell being different, as a few others have complained about it. It's true, the smell is totally different from what it used to be! I still had my old bottle and was able to directly compare the two. The old fragrance had much stronger lower tones, and the new fragrance smelled very light and like a perfume. I instantly did not like it at all, they are not even remotely similar. Our memory for smells is very strong. Shame on Old Spice changing the formula, while branding it as the same item.

Three generations and one smell.

as a young man I tried everything on the market till I was 30 something and after all that time and money I have three I like. Stetson for going out. brute when im broke. But old Spice I where every day for myself. It always makes me smile a little bit when a young lady asks me what I'm wearing and I get to tell her it's the same thing my great grandfather started wearing after coming to America.
