The product was advertised to be able to do a certain job, but the attachments and fittings provided were not adequate and Blind Freddie would have known that before he sealed the box to send them to me.When I tried to install the product, just setting it up showed me it could never work. Now, Kogan refuses to take it back, even though it is not fit for purpose.

This was advertised at $400 but I got it price matched for $350, which was good because in my opinion this portable air conditioner is not worth much beyond $300. The window kit was too short, cheap, flimsy and required extra DIY for it to fit my window. The cooling function is basically useless in weather over 35ºC and can only cool what's directly in front of it. I have a small room (about 10m2) and it only manages to lower the temp by a couple of degrees and any space near the exhaust hose or behind the unit is left hot due to the radiating heat coming off the hose itself. One last thing to note is that like most low priced portable air cons, this one is pretty loud even in the low setting. Very hard to use because of the air vent that must be put into a window. It's not flexible enough. Restricts the way and where it can be used. Also very loud.

I bought this to cool a downstairs hot room I use when working from home. It blows really cold air but even after a couple of hours, when you turn it off the room is still quite warm. So I rate it as a really good fan. It's definitely loud and I would have to turn it off when videoconferencing. Also the window seal is too small even when fully extended for average size windows. I had to use a sliding door so had to make my own extension seal. If you will use this to blow air on or near you and don't mind it being loud then would recommend. The room I use is about 5m X 3m and it would take hours to get it from about 33 degrees to 27.
Great unit, wide range of temperature settings, also has dehumidifier function. Neat design, functional. Cools my small unit beautifully
Yes it cools the air in a small room, but please, please, please do not buy this and expect to sleep with it while it's running. Or have a conversation. Or do any kind of work that requires peace and quiet. Should be sold with earplugs.
Too noisy to sleep. Cools down the room very well though. I ended up selling mine, because I needed an ac for the bedroom and this defeated the purpose.
Meant for a very small room. It’s not a 2.9kW but a 2.6kW which is quite deceptive from Appliances online. When queried they just offered to take it back but no solution or resolution. But as for product it’s only good for a small room and is alright as a portable ac
Portable Air conditioners don't work. At best they blow cold air on your face, but they fail to cool down a room. The reason is that they suck air out of the room and blow that air outside. This creates a vacuum inside the room forcing hot air from outside the room to fill the vacuum. Therefore, its impossible to cool a room with this unit. Its a gimmick at best. Don't buy one. Get a window aircon or a split system properly fitted
2 weeks into having this unit, bought it to cool down a standard sized bedroom in the top floor of an apartment in QLD. Room was unbearable before hand. This unit was very simple to set up and get going. Thought it would work a little better then it does however it cools my room down nicely. I can at least sleep at night now. The blower is a little loud however i don't even care as now I can sleep.
