This is the second Omega education cooktop I have purchased. We sold our house and the new house had a standard ceramic cooktop. I hated it and the new cooktop was arranged straight away. Easy to use, great range of temperature control, a breeze to clean looks great and will fit into any 600 mm cooktop cutout.This cooktop will give great service for many many years without any problems, it comes highly recommended and is also extremely well priced and a quality product.

This cooktop is really good value not only for its performance but also installation. No expensive rewiring, plugs into the current home wiring, and works really well. It comes with advice not to turn on all the hot plates at once but thats not a problem for us. You need to check airflow around cooktop before installation as with all induction. Very quick to install with plug and play!
I was originally going to buy a gas cooktop but a friend suggested Induction and Im glad I changed my mind. I had Omega products already in the kitchen so it was an obvious choice. It is fast and efficient which was what I needed and a fantastic price. Highly recommend.
This is great as a single element cooktop, BUT if you are using more than one element it gets worse than useless. 1 element power 9, 2 elements max power 7, 3 elelments max power 3,4,5 4 elelements max power 2,3,4,5. 5 is the lowest temp that seems to boil water slowly, so more than 2 elements it is just not useable.
This cooktop is not functional for anyone cooking much more than single or two pot dishes. This cooktop is not made for cooking. Its power limitation means that cooking zones power down if used together. The highest setting is only possible when using a single zone. When using three not much more than a simmer happens. This is entirely unusable for proper cooking and one wonders why it has 4 zones to start with. The description did not outline this clearly so I am noting this here.
Very happy with this cooktop. Great that it simply plugs in. That does mean you can't run all elements at full power simultaneously but we have found that in reality we don't cook that way so not a major disadvantage. Super easy to keep clean and induction cooking is simply awesome - so quick to heat anything. Only thing we don't like is the controls are placed in such a way that it's easy to turn the whole unit off by accident. Overall though we are very happy to rate it 4/5.
I was a little concerned about the plug in option for induction, but I was reassured that if the product did not perform to expectation I could return. The cooktop performed as well as our last Omega Induction cooktop that we had had for over 15 years, and we couldn't be happier as we could also install ourselves. Great product for the price
I feel I was sold a lemon. The Omega 60cm Induction Cooktop only works with two hotplates on at any time.Very frustrating when trying to prepare a meal that requires more than two hotplates to be operating at the same time. Do not buy this as you will end up very frustrated every time you try to cook a meal
