Cloud 5 # Size 9 men’s.I wear Hoka Bondi 8 size 9D,Nike size 9.5 andadidas size 9.5.Super comfortable sneakers . Most of my 140 miles were from walking on concrete in 90 degree hot and humid climates. The first 10 miles had some discomfort where the laces were tucked inside. After placing both ends of the lace knot outside the rings and loosening the elastic laces, everything molded into place. Slipping on and off was a breeze. I added a gel heel support for extra comfort. Perfect match . Love , Love , Love the Cloud 5’s.

I bought these shoes 6 months ago. At first they started out great. Reasonably comfortable shoe I would want to wear most days.Quickly into the cons. If the rubber of the sole got any water on it, there would be a near unbearable squeak to them. Now the Big downside. The heal rubber has completely come off the shoe on both shoes. They are basically unusable now.Overall despite their comfort, I completely regret buying these shoes based on the lack of longevity/quality in the construction.

This shoe is a bit of a disappointment in that I wanted it for fairly serious indoor training. The shoe is incredibly light, and looks pretty cool. Having said that it doesn't seem like a serious sports shoe at all. It's got a very strange lacing system which is flimsy and insubstantial and difficult or impossible to tighten. In fact, as it seems meant to be worn it's actually a slip on. There is a spare pair of "laces" that come with it. The guage and eyelets are extremely small and narrow and the bottom four floating eyelets are dummies. You can't really tighten up this shoe in any meaningful way. Depsite appearances, this is a great show to toss on and use for a trip to the mall or walking around town or the house. But as a serious workout/running shoe I'd look ... MoreThis shoe is a bit of a disappointment in that I wanted it for fairly serious indoor training. Really liked these shoes. They were comfortable, stylish and easy to slip on and off with the speed lace system. Durability is lacking. Within 3 months of wearing around the house and running errands the tread wear was noticeable. Within 6 months the sides of the mesh are tearing where it meets the sole on both shoes. Rest of the shoes looks in new condition except for these flaws. For a shoes that wasn’t used for exercise, long walks, running, yard work they wore down very fast. My last pair of Adidas gym shoes lasted almost 2 years under the same function and for the price of the On Cloud 5’s I would have expected more than a few months out of them.
I'm sure it must be a one-off situation but my shoes routinely squeak when walking. It's not the type of squeak that you hear from basketball players. It's a simple squeak/swoosh that happens on any type of surface. I'm simply walking into the gym from the parking lot or in the locker room. It's a little unfortunate because my wife has had 3 pairs of On shoes as have several relatives. Because they don't experience the issue, it's got to be manufacturing. Be mindful of their customer support. They're very prompt and courteous but quickly denied the warranty. I want to like these shoes but I feel like George Costanza in his new suit swishing and squeaking everywhere I go.
very lightweight, everyday comfort. I wear these at work and I’m a radiology technologist. Always on my feet running around. Not my first pair of On running shoes. I also have the cloud surfers that have more cushion, but I love to alternate between the two. I also have a pair of On Cloud 5’s for my days off. Best shoes ever. I also have Hola Bondi 8’s and surprisingly the inner part of the shoe bothers the arches of my feet. I just wear thicker socks with those. Never have a problem with my On Clouds.
Having owned a pair of Cloudflyer's for about a year, I had high expectations for this more casual wear shoe. It wasn't to be.First off, throw both sets of shoelaces in the trash. Depending upon multiple factors (time of day, thickness of socks, etc.) the elastic laces (speed-laces) were either too loose or too tight, but rarely just right. If you trim those laces, the ends unravel and after a few days are a hot mess. The more conventional laces do NOT stay tied and I found myself constantly having to tie them over and over and over again throughout the day. Double knotting would solve, but who wants the hassle on what should be a casual wear shoe.Probably, due to the minimal cushioning in the tongue, I often find that shoes are uncomfortably tight until I'm ... MoreHaving owned a pair of Cloudflyer's for about a year, I had high expectations for this more casual wear shoe. As many positive online REI reviews of this same model attest - your mileage may vary.On a positive note, they look great, are very lightweight and other than pebble retention in the wide tread, I remain a fan of ON's CloudTec cushioning.
This is my second pair of On Clouds. I love that it is lightweight and breathable. I can wear these shoes all day and be as comfortable at midnight as I am when just starting the day. ( Think day at Disneyland) The downside is that these shoes run at least a size smaller and narrower than usual. I recommend always trying on in-store as different styles fit differently. If ordering online order several sizes to ensure you get the right size. I'm not fond that because they run small, I must purchase a men's shoe to get a proper fit. I typically am a women's size 11M with no issue. In an On cloud, I have to purchase a men's 9.5M for a proper fit. I remove the elastic laces and use the addition shoe laces to get the best fit. I bought these shoes due to all the hype and talk about their comfort. It was mostly true, they were comfortable but not $150 worth of comfortable. Prior to that I had been wearing a two year old pair of Reebok sneakers that I paid $75 for that were more comfortable and still look better than these shoes that I purchased almost four months ago. I wear them to walk my 13 year old lab (, i.e. NOT fast, at all) and to work in an office. I take them off once I'm home and repeat almost daily. On occasion I have to wear dress shoes but for the most part, I wear these. Not anymore. They are literally, falling apart. As you can see from the picture, they're not even fully laced, which gives the material plenty of room to expand and flex. DIn't matter. I am beyond disappointed with the quality and lack of durability, especially since I wear these while walking my old slow dog then to my car, a few steps through a parking garage and into a carpeted office. I'm not hiking in them, running or doing anything strenous. Just walking. And this is the result after four months! Granted, I'm a heavy guy at 225 lbs but come on! I cannot and do not recommend these shoes. Maybe a different model will last longer but at the prices they sell for, I'm not taking the risk.
I absolutely loved the comfort and light feeling of these shoes; however, after three stikes, they're out.Strike 1: The very thing that makes them so light weight and comfortable also makes them wear & tear prematurely. I'm not a runner and only wore them for casual (walking) use, but after about 6 months of usage, a hole wore through in the fine mesh in the toe box area.Strike 2: In any damp environment (e.g., wet grass), the water quickly soaks through that mesh and soaks your socks - they do have a waterproof version of these (which I also have), but they are far less comfortable.Strike 3: This one is more of an annoyance, but small rocks & gravel constantly get stuck in the tread on the bottom and need to be picked out.
