Cloud Might Grab to Much
Comfortable shoes to cruise around town in, however the tread structure of the shoe grabs loose gravel in my driveway before I ever go for a hike. With this shoe, I find a lot of random rocks inside my house, my car and on my sidewalk after packing my car.Hiking in these shoe isn’t bad/or great. Twigs and rocks get stuck in the tread which probably affects the way the shoe is suppose to flex.So for those reasons, these shoes are more about fashion and less about overall function.Overall, these shoes seem to be better suited for a hike around your neighborhood with, perhaps a few dirt trails and less about seeking out to hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.... Gimmicky, not for real runners
These shoes were quite comfortable at first, but that didn’t last long. I run in them, you see, because they are runnings shoes. In less than six months, with about 150 miles on them (tracked by GPS) the soles have completely flattened out. No more of that nifty little air cushion. I can feel every rock, which also usually gets stuck in one of those weird ripples on the bottom. I think this design is a fad with no practical use for actual running. I’m going back to New Balance.... Show more

Good looking shoe that doesn't quite deliver
The Cloudflow was my first entry into On products after sticking with Asics for years. A primary reason for leaving Asics was a sense of ever declining build quality, which at first pass at a local cycling/running shop, the On brand seemed to deliver. Immediately the shoes were noted as very comfotable, plush, springy, and wrapped my foot well. I have low arches and wide feet which admittedly this shoe was not ideal for but I was looking for a casual athletic shoe that was comfortable, offered good cushion, and looled great. Again at first pass, the Cloudflows ticked all of those boxes. The Cloudflow, as noted by other reviewers is very light, easy to clean, and a real stunner. Fast forward to 5 months of ownership and near-daily wearing and I would have to conclude ... MoreThe Cloudflow was my first entry into On products after sticking with Asics for years. Fast forward to 5 months of ownership and near-daily wearing and I would have to conclude that the Cloudflow is a good shoe, not a great one. Primary drawbacks are that these pickup rocks like a magnet over nails and surprisingly the build quality has been way worse than initial impressions. The outsole has prominently collapsed in the forefoot and the fabric inside the heel has worn through severely. Now I likely replace my shoes way less frequently than I should but my 2 year old Kayanos (which Ive stopped wearing and phased out long ago) have not exhibited similar symptoms. Yes the outsole is an entirely different design approach but the fabrics on the Kayano are pilled but not worn through after way way more than 500 miles of mixed use.In summary, if you need a mild use shoe that is cheaper than an Ultraboost and looks just as good in the gym as as out in town than the Cloudflow is a solid pick. However for longterm durability and if you ever get within a foot of gravel, look elsewhere.... Show more

Great shoe
Although I have purchased several pairs of ON running shoes for my daughter, this is the first pair of ON shoes I have purchased for my husband. Shoes look great, fit great, and are very comfy. My husband is 68 with diabetic neuropathy in his feet. We do not run or participate in a lot of hard-core exercise activities. However, we do walk a lot and a good fit is essential to him. I definitely recommend. \... Show more

I am actually a little disappointed
I loved my on cloud running shoes that I have had in the past. They are instantly good and despite putting hundreds of miles on them a year they usually last over a year. When I tried these new shoes on they felt light like my other ones but really uncomfortable at first. I had to run a good 50 or 60 miles on them before I felt them getting more comfortable. I wasn't used to this. Even to this day they still aren't extremely comfortable and I occasionally have foot pain after going about 5 or 6 miles. I purchased new shoes just because these on cloud shoes still aren't the most comfortable.... Show more

NICE SHOE FROM THE CLOUDS
ON uses the Cloud prefix with all their items except the Roger. You have to buy this ON and I think others a 1/2 size larger. It is a great walking shoe. I wouldn't take in on a hiking trail, though You need more support on woodsy walks. It's stylish. I have 3 different pairs and I'm happy. The while soul look is all over the place. What's not to like?... Show more

Nice shoe in so many ways, but one big flaw
This was my first experience with On Shoes. I like so many things about this shoe including quality of construction, light weight, and innovative features. But in the end, it's a road running shoe, and the one thing it is missing is any sort of cushion under the balls of the feat. I wore these shoes once before I returned them. Granted, I was walking, not running. But on a standard 2 mile loop I normally do with my dogs, I returned home with extremely sore balls of the feet. I often do this same loop in a pair of Chaco flip-flops that have zero cushioning, only a hard rubber sole and when I return home my feet feel great. If this pair of running shoes has less cushioning than a pair of hard soled flip-flops, they aren't going to work for me, so I returned them. To ... MoreThis was my first experience with On Shoes. If this pair of running shoes has less cushioning than a pair of hard soled flip-flops, they aren't going to work for me, so I returned them. To be honest, flip flops have the advantage of allowing the foot work the way it was designed and absorb the shock using the arch, metatarsals and musculature. (But no, I can't do the barefoot running thing, I need shoes for running) When you confine your feet into a restrictive shoe, your feet rely more on the engineering of the shoe. When restricted this way, my running shoes need more cushioning. To be fair, I am 6'4" and over 200lbs. For someone with less weight to move around, these shoes may have enough cushioning.... Probably what I've been looking for my piriformis!
I've been having a bad piriformis pain for more than a year, so I've been looking for a shoes that would make me hurt a little less. I believe shoes may have an impact, more or less, on my piriformis conditions. The first feeling of Cloudflow is something new and not the kind of comfiness that I'm acquainted with, but I think I would give it a try as other soft comfy shoes couldn't help me at all. Only the first whole day that I wore Cloudflow, the pain was gone. I was surprise and been wearing it until this day, it really alleviates my piriformis pain!... Show more

Second pair
This is the second pair of cloudflow trainers I’ve owned. The 2022 version has been revised in minor ways which have detracted from the overall comfort and feel, and seem to be mainly for aesthetic purposes. Overall though I can’t fault the fit and comfort. Much prefer these to my previous saucony and mizuno shoes.... Show more

Truly excellent running/traveling shoes
I have to admit that I haven’t had these shoes for a very long time yet but I’d still do have some useful observations. The shoes break and almost instantly and are extremely comfortable. I will use them for running and for a walking cross training and they feel perfect for all of the above. The shoes are stylish enough for use in a variety of places which is handy for travel. The comfort of the shoes is incredible. Tom’s as a brand have been my favorite shoes for walking around town and these may replace them. I personally hope this will push brands like NewBalance to make shoes that are more stylish active wear.... Show more
