Bought a pair because they were comfortable at the store. After taking them out for a spin I discovered some things I didn’t like. The big gaps underneath caused debris to get picked up, small rocks, that I had to stop and remove. The shoe itself is heavier than other running shoes— I did like the sturdiness of the sole though. I found my heel striking more often due to the large heel and it was hard to avoid. I wouldn’t recommend for running but perhaps walking around town as a slick looking shoe. And a little pricy.

Comfortable on very first wear. Great walking, up on feet, gym shoe. Am going to use them as my travel walk all day shoes. They look great with jeans, leggings or shorts so very versatile. I wouldn't use them for running as my gel nimbus 25 are more comfortable for a dedicated run shoe. But these are great as an all rounder. Really pleased with purchase and colour, even though I initially really wanted the pretty lime and pick ones

I have a narrow foot and a history of plantar fasciitis and bought these shoes for walking. I was unable to get my usual 8 narow, but the 8 regular seemed to fit me just fine. Though not as cushioned as my old Brooks, they were comfortable and offered great support and stability. Unfortunately, after several walks I found that they actually hurt in several places: the bottom of my toes, just under the ankles, and my arch is still a bit sore. Changing socks didn't help so I chose to return them. It's possible that I really did need a narrow after all.

I scored a lightly used pair in the garage sale area at my local REI for 1/2 the price. I’ve been wanting a pair of On’s for awhile so excited to finally find a pair on super sale. After reading some of the other reviews, I agree that the ankle bone does slightly rub against the side of the shoe; however, I’m only using these for errands around town. I have plantar fasciitis and needed a stability shoe. As far as the toe space, it definitely does feel tighter than some of the other On’s I’ve tried on. I always goes up 1 full shoe size with sneakers in general. I’m an 8.5 and always do 9.5 in boots and sneakers knowing my feet will swell as I’m active. So far so good. I would recommend them. Hoping they last awhile.
I bought these shoes recently and I love them. I immediately felt stability when walking around and my feet feel very supported! The only downside I would say I am experiencing is that I will need to exchange them for a half size up. I have been wearing them just casually around with thin socks and sometimes they do feel too snug. But overall I love them and don’t regret the purchase at all.
My previous Cloud Flyers were AMAZING. I couldn't say enough about them and how good they were for my problematic feet. I never even needed my orthotics! As they wore out I got this pair and I am sad to say they are not as good. My feet hurt, a lot, and I will be have to be going back to my orthotics. These shoes also set off an issue that has not bothered me for 15 years (haglund's deformity). If that continues, I won't be able to wear these at all. Very disappointing. (and bummer to have wasted so much money on an expensive shoe)
If you have been running in On's and loved them (like me), be warned, the 4 is different from previous versions. I'd recommend trying them on before buying to make sure the fit still works.I've been running in the CloudFlyer's for years. I bought the 4's in the same size that I have worn for years. On my first run, two issues stuck out.1. The shoe hits my ankle bone which was a major annoyance on even a short run. I compared the height to the 3s and On has added height to the 4's which is why it's hitting my ankle bone in this version but not the others.2. The toe box feels tighter and my toes were hitting the end when I haven't experienced that with other 7 1/2s (over the last 10 years of wearing this brand). I loved the previous version of the Cloudflyer. My only issue with it was that they were not as durable as I might have liked - the clouds themselves mean that the sole is pretty thin in places. Of course, I put around 200 miles a month on them. If you don't run that much, you won't wear through them as quickly. But the 4's are stiffer and a bit less roomy than the previous version. They are the only On's where my foot feels cramped in the toe box. So even if you have worn the brand before, I would recommend trying these out before ordering to see if they work for you.
I had a severe ankle injury while skating that didn't heal properly and required me to wear a very uncomfortable ankle brace with hard plastic stays every single day due to the instability of my ankle. It was a miserable experience until I bought my first pair of these stability shoes by ON! The Cloudflyers make my ankle feel completely supported, corrects my pronation, supports my low arches, and even makes my knees feel better from proper alignment all the way down! I haven't needed the brace in years and I haven't done anything different other than wear Cloudflyers most of the time I'm on my feet! The new purple color can even be dressed up a little. I'm on pair #7 I think, and the only drawback at all is that occasionally a rock will get wedged into the ... MoreI had a severe ankle injury while skating that didn't heal properly and required me to wear a very uncomfortable ankle brace with hard plastic stays every single day due to the instability of my ankle. I was a die hard Solomon fan for years, that is all I wore, but I I had apparently had ever single color of shoe and I was growing a bit bored. Someone reccomended the OCs to me and I went and tried them on at a store and instantly loved them. In fact I was kinda mad I had been so loyal to the Solomons because the OCs were so much better. I was looking to replace my La Sportivas and of course, chose to grab another pair of OCs. They are light weight, supportive, spingy, and just the best. One thing that I dont like about them however is that there is a large cut out on the bottom of the soles (this I am assuming helps make them so light weight) and if you walk on gravel or rocks, you wil get rocks stuck in these cut outs. So, SO NOT WEAR THEM AS TRAIL RUNNING SHOES ... MoreI was a die hard Solomon fan for years, that is all I wore, but I I had apparently had ever single color of shoe and I was growing a bit bored. Ps. they are super expensive, so I snatched these up for half off on REI. I dont care about the colors, just about getting a great deal on a great shoe.
