Best shoe I've ever worn!
After much debate, I finally took the plunge! And these shoes are amazing! As a nurse, I'm on my feet constantly and for hours at a time. And the cloudmonsters are literally like walking on clouds. There excellent arch support and my heels have stopped aching. Even the fatigue in my legs have improved. The one concern I have is I don't know how long the shoe will actually hold up over time. I worry that the cushion of the sole will wear out quickly. Other than that I 10/10 recommend!... Show more

Comfort Crushed by Poor Quality: My Disappointment

It's unfortunate to conclude that this brand falls short in terms of quality. On a positive note, I must commend REI for their exceptional return policy and commitment to customer satisfaction, which has allowed me to address this disappointing experience by returning what feels like a "lemon" of a product.... Disappointed
Purchased at store. They felt good in the store for only wearing a few minutes and look koo. Got in parking and decided to put them on and go for a stroll around the strip mall. With in 15 minutes, I could feel the pain! These are definitely NOT cloud monsters! There is very little cush compared many other shoes on the market. If you are looking for a recovery comfort shoe, do not waste your $$! Nike Invincible 3, ASICS nimbus 25, New balance fresh foam v4 all make these cloud monster shoes feel like Fred Flintstone stone wear. Not impressed AT ALL! And, the price is ridonculous for what you get.... Show more

Disappointing as a running shoe
I bought these to try out along with the Solomon's s/lab cf's and the results are extremely disappointing. The cloudmonsters are a complete let down. I was expecting SOME sort of cushion when running on asphalt but it feels like I am running on deflated tires. The "super shoes" by comparison feel like bionic legs. The fit is fine, runs just a bit large. The style is what it is. But the functionality is not there for me, especially when you can find a better shoe that's marked down for what these retail for. I could imagine a casual user enjoying these for the gym, weights, even basketball or sports but not for road running. They have an excellent amount of grip, but they do not feel very nimble as in side to side movements and they do not help mitigate impacts ... I won't be using these for any of my activities, they aren't nimble enough for the fighting gym and they do not offer the correct support for lifting heavy weights.... Show more

Finally a more cushioned road shoe from On.
I'd waited to get some miles under my belt with this show before attempting a review. For trails I've been using Cloudultra as I like On's shoes off trail as they're a little more firm and therefore better feedback. When it came to the road this firmness translated to harshness for myself. Id been using Hoka but never really been the best shoe for me. I was very excited to read the reviews that this shoe was soft, especially with the weather turning and more road than trail work ahead.Great fit and feel straight from the box and much softer ride for my feet compared to On's other road shoes. The profile is noticeably higher than the road shoes but my foot feels secure, no bouncing or twisting going on. I'd read reviews that people had to change their running style ... MoreI'd waited to get some miles under my belt with this show before attempting a review. I'd read reviews that people had to change their running style in these but no issues thus far from myself. The outsole doesn't have those more traditional grooves that are characteristic of On, which thus far means less stones picked up, noting ore annoying to your cadence than the click click of stones picked up by that older outer sole.A light shoe for the degree of cushioning and a very secure toe box.So a thorough 5 star from myself. Apologies as I can't comment on how long they'll last but they seem to be of the same high quality I've found with On over the years.... Show more

Literally like a cloud
So far, I am loving these shoes. I have tremendous foot pain and decided to give these a try. Boy, am I glad I did! I'm only 1 week in, but I already ordered a second pair. I literally teared up when i put them on my feet. I haven't had this much comfort in a very, very long time! I did find that these, for me, run about a half size small, so that may be something you consider when ordering. Also! Sun & Ski, hands down, has the best prices and offers compared to anyone else! I saved SO much money ordering from here, and shipping is super FAST!... Show more

My favorite tennis shoe
I love the monster, I love the design, I love how it feels, I love the construction. Is tennis shoe is pretty great overall, I can wear it for work for those long shifts, I can wear it for casual daily use when I'm on walks and such. I've even ran in this shoe and I hate running. It's very comfortable because of the amount of cushion it has but it also feels very responsive unlike some other plush shoes. I also have a very wide foot and it fits me perfectly despite not being a very wide shoe.I really love the construction of the shoe, it's built very well and the materials all hold up quite well. I wore this shoe everyday for a little over 3 months and while not wearing it daily anymore... I've had it for about 9 months now with consistent use and they are still ... I wore this shoe everyday for a little over 3 months and while not wearing it daily anymore... I've had it for about 9 months now with consistent use and they are still in great condition. The only sign of wear I've gotten was on one of the shoes, the left side of the rubber tip in front of the toe started to peel slightly. I think this was a sizing issue on my part because I got this shoe too small. Other than that everything is in the same condition as when I got it. The sole despite being cushiony has little to no creases in the foam from me wearing it (I weigh around 180 lb).My only two complaints are 1, The shoe runs fairly small so I recommend getting a half size to full size up. And 2, this is more of a personal thing but I'm not a fan of the lacing system or the amount of cushioning in the tongue. This is a great shoe for daily running, walking, working, anything that would require you to be on your feet for long periods of time.... On Cloudmonster is the perfect running shoe for the big boys
I used to run in Brooks Beast in my military days, but since then I dropped off and gained some weight. My fiancee bought me a pair of Cloudmonsters and it brought me back to a legit runner. I went from not running to doing competitive 5Ks in these and even shaved 5 minutes off my time. I've purchased three pairs in 15 months and put 250 miles in each pair. When I say these are my shoes, I mean it. I'm 42, I weigh 240 lbs, and average a 26-minute 3.2 miles. I've won five age group awards in my first year of competive 5Ks, which is an accomplishment for somebody who was running before these shoes.... Show more

Unwearable due to squeaking, no company coverage
I am incredibly disappointed with this purchase and would recommend no one buy this shoe. It is an attractive shoe, and I felt very comfortable. However, after 3 months of light wear, one shoe began squeaking with each step. This squeak is loud enough that people I've walked by routinely notice it. This happens on every surface and occurs when the sole compresses. I contacted On, and they were VERY clear that this was not covered by the warranty, and they recommended I "put baby powder in the shoe". This, obviously, wasn't effective.I looked online, and these shoes squeaking appear to be very common. Please google "On shoes squeaking". It happens as the air cells in the sole compress. It would be a great shoe, but it's unwearable due to this atrocious noise, and ... MoreI am incredibly disappointed with this purchase and would recommend no one buy this shoe. It may be a short-lived purchase due to terrible squeaking.... Show more
