Best Siteseeing Sneakers!
I am so grateful for these sneakers. I bought them specifically for my vacation for walking/site seeing in Portugal for two weeks. They saved my problematic feet! They have so much shock support and no harsh upper edges to rub toes and back of ankles. No blisters/achy throbbing feet at the end of the day. I did size up half a size than my usual On sneakers (including the non waterproof version of this style) and at first slightly stretched the toe area with the inserts they come with to make them a little looser in the toe area. These are my best On sneakers yet and looked attractive too in a light neutral grey color. They are substantial sneakers yet still feel light on the feet. I packed 3 kinds of sneakers with me and only wore these. If you have problem feet or ... MoreI am so grateful for these sneakers. Cloud5s are great, sole durability sucks
Third pair of Cloud5s. Pros: Nice roomy toe box, good for a wider foot shape, love the elastic laces (sometimes I put a quick loop and knot on one end if I want a tighter fit during activity), especially enjoy this color way in person, the aesthetics are pretty great. Cons: the soles don’t have rubber grips in the right places to support a walking/running stride so you’re shredding soft polyurethane on pavement underfoot from day one, $140 is really excessive for a shoe with such a short use life. I feel like “Swiss Engineering” knows what they did with lack of outsole durability and it’s called planned obsolescence. I’m falling for it x3. TL;DR they’re cool, they’re comfortable, the fit is great, they last 6 months casual use probably 2-3 months daily use.... Show more

Does not feel like there is much cushioning
I purchased these for a New England cruise where I would be doing a lot of walking. The one and only positive review was that my feet weren’t soaked in the rain. My feet were sore after walking in these sneakers. The heel area/ankle was very loose causing instability in my heel. If I sized down, it would have been too short; it was just too wide in the heel. Walking on pebbled areas was horrible because the rocks got stuck in the sole and I would need to dig the rocks out before walking on pavement. It was a disappointing purchase and I will stick to Hoka or Brooks as their sneakers have the best cushioning.... Show more

Great and very reliable
These are the first pair of shoes by On that I bought (I now own nine pairs of their shoes... I have too many shoes), and they're still great almost two years later. For walking around town, keeping your feet dry, and looking good as well, these cannot be beat. The dark, matte material that isn't cloth actually is reflective, which is also pretty cool. Over-all, they fit my very slim man's foot really well, maybe even a bit loose (this was the 2021 version, which was actually slimmer than the Cloud 5). I had to shift up a 1/2-size from normal, because the waterproof membrane takes up some space inside. People's experience varies in this regard, so either try them on or order two sizes and return the ones that are wrong. The elastic laces are fool-proof, and I only ... The elastic laces are fool-proof, and I only have to re-tie them about every two months or so because they untie the knot at the end themselves. Honestly, I have no complaints about them at all.... looking for new brace
I had the privilege of working with Patrick Strapp n regards to finding shoes to fit my new brace. I was treated with so much respect, taking his time with me in finding a new tennis shoe. You have to understand I wear 2 different sizes, Nordstroms’s is the only store that will sale me mismates. My process in finding shoes is not fast.. Patrick has found a customer for life.I can’t remember the last time I felt so special. Congratulations to Nordstroms’s, very lucky to have such a compassionate employee! Can’t wait to start my shoe wardrobe with Patrick! Love my new cloud 5, beautiful color... Show more

LOVE LOVE LOVE - exactly what I wanted!
I wanted a light colored shoe for Spring/Summer. These are gorge! Love them. The color is as it appears on line - I love that they're not just white, but a mix of the two very light shades. I have another pair of ON cloud shoes that I also love, so I'm happy to add this second pair to the mix. They're feather light and so comfy and supportive. And for anyone who many wonder - they come tied as photoed here (as a slip-on) with a spare pair of new laces. I actually love the laces they come with because they stay tied. But I wanted to learn how to make this pair slip on; great news - it was done for me. :)... Show more

Not worth the money
From all the reviews I've read, I can confirm the sizing is weird. I have narrow, low volume feet and am normally between size 6 and 6.5. I sized up to a 7 and it still feels short. I think it's because the front of the shoe curls upward. Why is that the design? My big toenail touches the top of the shoe when I walk and it's annoying. I don't get that feeling in any other running shoe. After only one month of normal wear, walking to the subway and to work and whatnot, the right shoe started squeaking obnoxiously. I have to turn the volume on my earbuds to a 20 to drown out the squeak while I'm walking. It's so bad. I can feel the the squeak from the heel of the shoe like the cushion is deflating. Found out this is a common problem with the brand, after searching ... MoreFrom all the reviews I've read, I can confirm the sizing is weird. All hype, no substance.... Show more

Perfect Shoe But Your Feet Will Freeze
I love this shoe! I usually wear 7 1/2 or 8 depending on the style of the shoe. I purchased this one in an 8.The 7 1/2 felt a little tight across my foot, and I have a slim foot. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever purchased in my life. I had ankle surgery. This shoe is light and sturdy enough to not cause too much movement of my ankle like soft cushioned shoes, but it is not hard so it doesn't cause the bottom of my feet to hurt. Perfect! I will be purchasing them in more colors. The ONLY negative comment I have about this shoe is that the material is so thin. I wore them on a cold day (40 degrees) and my feet felt like I had no shoes on. My feet were freezing. The wind just blew right through these shoes. It would be great if they could make them with ... Used to love OC shoes but not these
I bought the first pair of OC shoes I ever tried on several years ago. Have been convincing people to try them since then. I bought these in an effort to match the pair I used for many miles, and loved. I hate to say it but something has happened to OC, they've gone the way of fashion/ lifestyle shoes to the point that these shoes resembled nothing of my old pair. There is zero arch support, lateral stability, or attention to the tiny quality details that this "Swiss-engineered" brand claims. I tried on almost every pair of OC shoes available at Dick's, and the massive soles with zero lateral stability were concerning. Just disappointed they lost the best part of their brand so quickly.... Show more

What's with the hype!?
I'm a server and have always had issues with my feet. Specifically, my heels. I bought these because of the hype of how great they are for your feet when working long hours. By day two of wearing them, I was right back where I started with the pain. I threw some dr scholls heel protectors in and that helped but the pain isn't gone. There's zero memory foam in this shoe. It's legit a basic walking shoe with no added support. They do look cute af but I definitely don't see the hype. If you're going to buy, get a size up. I'm a true 8.5 but needed a 9 in these. Also, if you have wide feet, this shoe is not for you as they are very narrow!... Show more
