looked worn, and it looked like someone found an old box, threw them in and re-sold them. I was beyond disappointed and glad that I opened it before leaving the store. The
box did not belong to the shoes, there were no tags etc. which was the first red flag. My experience with Nordstrom's on-line and store shopping to date has always been

I just purchased some new ASICS gel nimbus 25’s. They feel much better straight out of the box. Hopefully I can get back to my treadmill workouts now. I gave 2 stars because they have good color choices and are nice looking shoes, but if you can’t wear them I don’t know what it matters. I do not recommend these shoes to anyone.... Show more

But with wearing they get broken into better. I like that my feet sweat less in them. They're great paired with thick compression socks. I would be open to buying another pair in the future. Wish the shoe laces were just a little longer though but love the design and once they're tied they stay tied so that's a plus. Pricey to have in several colors at a time, but hopefully they'll last long so that I wouldn't need to buy a new pair every couple years. Love the style and look and color choices. Felt heel was too low
22 September 2024
I purchased 6 pairs of ON sneakers at once to compare them and purchase the ones that were the most comfortable for my problematic feet. When purchasing, I read the reviews and purchased a half size up (10.5W). I have extremely high arches, wide feet and need for ample toe box due to Morton’s Neuroma. While these sneakers LOOK like they have ample support/height in the heel area, I found the heel felt lower than all the other ON shoes while walking. That feeling of leaning back a bit while walking is not comfortable. Also, these are almost snug in width, despite purchasing the W. They are fabric, thus there is the ability to move, but I know that the width wouldn’t work if I wore them for any period of time. I did like the fact that the tongue is not attached to the ... MoreI purchased 6 pairs of ON sneakers at once to compare them and purchase the ones that were the most comfortable for my problematic feet. Overall, these were not workable for my feet and will be returned.... Show more

Great daily trainer

Since starting my running journey in my late 40s, I have become a tad bit obsessed with running shoes. I've watched many videos and read many reviews about different shoe brands and styles and have tried most of them. I have narrow heels and slightly wider forefoot so nike and asics are too narrow. I also prefer shoes that are cushioned and have some energy return so I really don't like how many max cushioned shoes make you feel that you are just sinking into the ground. I've been a Saucony Endoprhin speed 3 fan but find them just Not stylish or cute. I purchased the Cloudmonster as my first On running shoe because they are way more stylish and was hoping that I could wear them both for work and for runs before and after work. I am so happy that they did not disapoint. Love them! they are light, breathable, and you get a very nice bouncy feel that helps your feet turnover when you're tired. the upper seems miraculously scuff resistant too. I've done runs up to 7 mi runs on pavement in them so far and have not been bothered by the "firmness" which On seems to be known for. I don't find these shoes to be much different than my plated Saucony or Hoka shoes. you can either do slow easy miles or pick up the tempo in these easily. This is a very versatile shoe for me.... Lightweight for the cushioning and comfort
26 April 2023
TLDR: Size up half a size. Comfort and cushioning on long runs. Might have to be careful of front rocker if walking. Objectively a good color combo (Nimbus)So I bought my first pair of On Cloud shoes over a year ago based on the cuteness of the color combination, but always lamented that I couldn't do runs longer than 5 or 6 miles on those before my healed cuboid stress fracture from over 10 years ago complains a bit. So those got relegated to gym and general workout shoes.Enter the Cloudmonster, which takes the term maximal cushioning very seriously. Once again, I had to size up half a size (7.5 to an 8). The cushioning rivaled the Hokas but these were much more bouncy which was a pleasant surprise. Walking around, the front rocker was very noticeable (careful descending stairs), but I understood this might actually be a good thing for turnovers on long runs for me.I took these out for an 11 mile run and they had all the cushioning I wanted, but they were also very comfortable and bouncy (in a good way). I noticed with my Hokas (and nearly every pair of road running shoes i had) that i had to retie my right shoe multiple times during the run to try to alleviate discomfort on my right foot (which is wider due to a mild bunion). With the Cloudmoster, I just tightened them to some reasonable tightness when I left the house and they were good to go for 11 miles of asphalt and very well-maintained manufacturered trails (not real trails, these are not trail shoes). The main reason I ditched my Hokas for this season was because I enjoyed the comfort of my Altra Lone Peak 5 with its wide toebox, but I didn't want to ruin good trail shoes by running them on the road regularly. These somehow gave me thr comfort of a wider toe box without specifically being wider build or requiring me to loosen them as I went along. Whatever that top material is, good job.I didn't notice the more aggressive front rocker at all during the run, but I did notice I tripped zero times during the run when I start lifting my foot less and less to conserve energy. So the kinda sus rocker for walking made sense for running. There was zero break in for these. I took them out on one workout in an exercise class and then threw them on for my long run. I like that I didn't have to worry or think about them at all, except for the cute design or how big of a hole these left in my wallet. But the extra 20-50 dollars I'm spending on these than other similar shoes was worth every penny bases on all the quality of run improvements.... Show more

Not a Stability Shoe
8 September 2024
There are no reviews on pronation and if this is a stable or neutral shoe. I am a pronator, not a super pronator but I do pronate when I run. I am a medium runner, run about 25-30 miles a week outside on pavement. Have ran on Kayano's for over 20years (a stability shoe). I know they aren't extreme stability shoes because I can see where I wear out the soles, but I do feel the Kayano's help give some ankle support. I wanted to try these On Cloudmonsters to see what the hype is all about. I do wear the Cloud 5 to work as a RN and love them. The verdict for me on these running shoes is that they are definitely not a stability shoe.PROS: LightweightVery Cushioning; feels very cloud likeTongue and laces stay in placeWide toe box; have slightly wider footNice rolling ... MoreThere are no reviews on pronation and if this is a stable or neutral shoe. If you have a narrow foot probably just go with your normal shoes size, my daughter wears same shoe size as me (6.5) but has a narrower foot and she says the 7 is too roomy. She's going to her normal shoe size. Overall, I will wear these once in while, but as my everyday running shoe I don't think they are made for that. I'll stay with the traditional running shoes.... okay but not amazing

I’ve seen these shoes everywhere and after 3 pairs of hoka’s I decided to switch it up and get these. I have had them for a month now and I honestly wish I would have gone with hoka again. They are comfortable enough, but I tend to get heel pain and by the end of the day my feet are aching. They also rub the back of my ankle which could be fixed by wearing taller socks- but still a notable detail. I haven’t run in them yet, only light workouts and walks, but given how my feet feel after walking all day I don’t think I want to try and run with them either. I will say hoka took me a bit of adjusting at first too, but they did eventually form to my foot and caused no pain wearing for 12+ hours. I wish I could say the same about these. On the plus side these look nice!... Show more
