a good surprise

These On hiking shoes are very lightweight, like other Ons, but the sole is very stiff...which is great for hiking. I was afraid they might be too narrow for my wide feet, but the
upper/toe box is roomier than I thought it might be. I took these for a good, rugged hike in the heat, and they performed well, didn't really feel too hot. I haven't checked their
waterproofness, but I expect it's good. P.S. Sizing for me is the same as I wear in Adidas

This could easily have been a 5-star review, except for one major drawback; a non-removable insole. On the pro side of things, I loved the out-of-the-box fit and comfort of
this shoe (I have a standard B or medium width foot, size 9) and I loved the look and the versatility that it provided as I bought it for a trip to Japan where I'd be both exploring
the urban areas (and wanted to have a couple cute outfits) as well as doing some treks (in the rain). This shoe was unbelievably comfortable for the many, many miles I
walked around the cities of Japan and for the light day hikes I did but when it came time for serious treks in wet conditions, I seriously regret that I was willing to ... Show more

after 4 months of light use.Cushioning at the heel was super comfortable on one shoes and notably overstuffed on the other. Not something you get used to; and it doesn’t
settle in or form after use, so it shown to be an ongoing issue, despite my wishes lol

I would normally never buy a hiking shoe without a removable insole for either upgrading to a Currex or a Smartfeet insole and/or for the need to pull the insole after a big hike to let it dry. Unfortunately, I spent my longest trek on the trip (six days) in soggy feet; both from too much sweating in a waterproof hiker in warm, high-humidity and from days and days of rain. If you're just a light, day hiker, this shoe could be perfect.... Show more

Did not feel like a cloud
30 September 2023
I have an average width foot and ordered 1/2 size up. This was my 2nd pair of ON shoes, other for running. For some reason these shoes hug my feet not in a comfortable way. Not tight but tight enough to feel the shoe which after about an hour makes my feet ache. Hiking shoe not soft and not very cushioned. Maybe they could be broken in but I’m used to very comfortable, supportive shoes right out of the box. Could be ON shoes are just not for my foot shape. Returned as not comfortable for me.... Good but not great
9 October 2023
Just bought and received these Cloudwander hiking shoes in glacier eclipse color 3 days ago. They are a great looking shoe and have already received compliments on the look. As far the fit I did order a half size up as recommended which did result in the length being good but I do find the width a bit narrow so if you do have slightly wider feet I would recommend ordering a wider width if available. They are reasonably comfortable but I expected much better from such an expensive shoe and one that is branded "on cloud". There's an acceptable amount of padding in the toe area but I find the heal area to be quite hard. The heal area feels much more like a work boot than a sneaker or hiking shoe. Maybe they'll break in eventually and get more comfortable but as for now ... MoreJust bought and received these Cloudwander hiking shoes in glacier eclipse color 3 days ago. [Rewarded Review] Best of the best!
17 April 2024
I bought these for light hiking and walking for vacation. I wore them 6 days out of 7 on vacation and they were amazing. I felt like I was walking on a cloud and they were comfortable even tho I walked over 12,000 steps a day in them every day. I have an issue with “hammer toes” and my toes were perfectly fine in these shoes. Runs a little short, ordered 1/2 size larger.... Show more

[Rewarded Review] Great Hiking Shoe!!
3 May 2023
I bought these shoes for a trip to Arizona and they did not disappoint. They are light weight and very supportive. The soles are very sticky on the rocks. I’m very happy with the purchase. I did purchase a half size larger than I normally wear. I also purchased a pair for my wife for the same trip and she is very happy also. I purchased a half size larger for her also.... Show more

Rock magnets
12 September 2024
I agree, the slots that run lengthwise of the shoe pick up at least one rock whenever I walk in gravel or rocky area. It is the first shoe where I’ve ever had to stop and do that. Also, the waterproof material feels more ‘plasticy’ in comparison to the regular. They have a different look. I’m not a big fan of what they’ve done with the waterproof lines.... Show more

Very comfortable
15 October 2024
The shoes are extremely comfortable and the waterproof part is great. After 2 months of wearing everyday the inside of heals are completely worn out to the point where they have been too sore on the heals to wear. I have never have this happen with any other Nike or Adidas shoes I have ever owned. Besides that great look and great comfort. Just wish they would last longer.... Show more

Waist of 200 bucks
13 June 2024
This shoe picks up ALOT of rocks. Some you know and others you dont until you walk on your hard wood flooring. I dont like stopping to pick a rock out of the sole of my shoe every five minutes. I did not think these are as comfortable compared to other styles i have owned. They are more stiff. I wish I would’ve never bought them.... Show more
