As a well-conditioned, 65 year old athlete with flat feet, I found On's new Cloudgo is an innovative neutral, lightweight trainer with an amazing, comfortable, cushioned ride. The company added a new Helion midsole that provides a softer and more compliant feel underfoot. Furthermore, the flexible TPU Speedboard is almost not noticeable, providing a ride best for easy miles and daily training. I have not used the shoe for racing, so I can't speak to that. Planter Fasciitis can be a problem for an athlete with flat feet and the new Cloudgo's construction addresses this issue, which makes the shoe even more remarkable! I highly recommend this outstanding shoe and would recommend it a half size up.

I have used Hokas for years and decided to try On because my Bondi 7 were no longer available. I've had several surgeries on my feet, arthritis and still have plantar fasciatis so need a shoe with alot of support on the bottom of foot. The on clouds were too narrow, tight and left my feet feeling tingly. I had ankle discomfort and shin pain while running in them. I had to go up even higher in size than Hokas so if I would go up more they would fall off. Being tighter is not necessarily better for running. Going back to Hokas. But glad I tried them.

I’m far from an avid runner but getting back into it. Past shoes I used for running were Nike, Brooks, and recently Hoka. The Brooks were like concrete blocks on my feet, Nike never fit my foot right and my Hoka were for trail running. After reading about the stability on these shoes I couldn’t pass them up. I have about 16 miles on them so far and I can tell a huge difference from my Nike/Brooks. They roll nice from heel to toe, have great stability, not super soft on the sole so good feedback, and the upper is nice and toasty yet breathable. Only downside is they are heavy but definitely not the heaviest shoe out there. If you are starting back up in running or a beginner I would recommend this shoe.
| Running Shoe Support | Neutral |
| Running Shoe Cushioning | Moderate Cushion |
| Heel to Toe Drop (mm) | 10.5 mm |
| Heel Stack Height (mm) | 29.26 mm |
| Forefoot Stack Height (mm) | 18.76 mm |

I've been having knee problems so I thought I would buy a more supportive shoe than the relatively flat one I use daily. I tried on several different shoes at the REI store and this one was by far the most comfortable. I walk my dogs several miles daily and am on my feet a lot at work. These shoes have made a big difference. I just bought another pair. They do run smaller than usual so i'm glad I tried it on before buying. I usually wear a size 9 and a 9.5 fits perfect in these shoes .
I love Cloud X for travel, running, gym, pretty much everything. BUT I wanted something more fashionable for walking, and the extra padding is nice for recovery after workouts. Also the Cloudgo is more appropriate for colder temperatures than the Cloud X style. They feel quite warm with socks. I have knee pain, and On shoes have made it possible for me to walk, run and hike again without pain. One pair developed a hole in the fabric, and On's warranty was easy and fast. I was able to order a replacement pair of my choice from the website within a day of submitting my claim.
Day one these felt great. I ran about three miles with no issues. There was just enough cushioning without feeling like you’re running on a mattress. However, day two I put them on and they didn’t feel as good. For some reason, there was pressure on the top of my foot. I waited a couple days and tried them on again and I still felt that pressure. I love the On running shoes but I’m afraid this style will not work for me.
I think with this pair they have nailed a perfect trainer for quick runs and hitting the gym for treadmills.I like the balanced cushion and the shoe structure providing the needing support. Not over squishy that your heel keeps sinking while standing and make it unbearable to wear other than just running. It’s try to size. I am 9 in most dress shoes and that is the case here. Does not run to narrow from the toe box leaving enough room for thick socks.I hope they hold up well.
I tried on three shoes at REI. These were the first pair, but I still wanted to compare. I wound up coming back to these and purchasing them, and I am so glad I did. They fit perfectly, are super comfortable, and provide the exact amount of support I need without being so cushioned that the soles flatten over time. They feel light on my feet. Great for running and going to the gym, which is mainly what I use them for. I have the white and green, and love them.
These shoes are amazingly comfortable and stylish. I am a nurse in the ED and on my feet 12+ hours a day. My heels hurt so much after work and the next day. Someone told me about On Cloud and I had to try them out. The first day I wore them I had no pain in my heels even the next day so they fixed that problem. Only bummer is my left foot has a slight bunion and because these shoes are not wide it puts too much pressure on that big toe. So that toe started hurting and I thought it was just that day but it’s only when I wear those shoes that it causes that specific pain. My right foot has not pain or issues. So for me unfortunately I can’t wear them. If these shoes came in wide I would definitely be able to wear them. This is my second Cloud running tennis and I absolutely love this one as well. However I don’t use them for running, but because I deal with horrific plantar fasciitis I need a super supportive tennis. This one fits the requirements. I believe I have a large toe box area and this one is roomy in that area. I also have custom orthotics and I’m able to wear them in this tennis without issues. The show feels like I’m walking on a Cloud with lots of cushion. One thing that bothers me about the tennis are the show laces. In this one they need to be a bit longer and they untie easily due to the type of material they are made from. You almost need to double tie them. Lol The mesh is nice with a slight design.
