Are you kidding me! Letās start with the packaging because I have never received a book in such good condition due to the well thought out packing! The stenciled edges in the book are absolutely beautifully well done! The note and the crochet book mark and hand written note are just the sweetest most genuine thing! I will definitely be purchasing again!

I really enjoyed Caraval so I wanted an autograph from the author and Owl Crate was one of the only reasonably priced websites I could find it. I love the cover and when you take the dust jacket off it hasāEvery story has the potential for Infinite endingsā on the book. The top of the dust jacket did fold a bit in the mail but overall itās an awesome addition to my collection.

This was my first special edition order from Owl Crate, and I was just a little disappointed. Box was not damaged, sleeve was not damaged, but the special hard cover was. While I understand things get damaged during shipping, due to no other damage I feel like this left their warehouse damaged which I guess I just would hope someone would have been looking for before shipping it out.The book itself is wonderful. Read it. This review is purely for the owl crate special edition I received.
Owlcrate knows how to make a special edition of a book and Once Upon a Broken Heart was no exception. The gorgeous coloring and beautiful embossing on the cover are gorgeous.Also! They take care when packaging their books so it not only arrived in a timely manner but there were no bent edges or torn covers.
Once Upon a Broken heart is set in the same universe as Stephanie Garbers Caraval series. They can be read separately however reading Once Upon a broken heart OUABH first will spoil small bits of Caraval.I loved this book, Garber is great at world building and writing believable characters. After reading so many Fae based books, delving into a world of Fates where magic is used in a different way to most other books, I found it very refreshing.Once Upon a Broken heart is one of my new favourite books, and I intend on re-reading it prior to the release of its sequel, Ballard Of Never After later this year. Garber has mastered the art of the unexpected plot twists and I just can't get enough!
Holy this book was fantastic. I finished it in one day and stayed up to 3am to complete, it's so addictive! The covers as gorgeous as the book! This is a must have for caraval fans or anyone that wants to enter the memorising world. If you like somewhat morally questionable characters, plot twists, and fairytales this is the book for you. This book is magic, my only issue is the sequels not out yet!
The naked hard cover is so pretty that I just had to have it! This is my third Edition of this book. Sorry, not sorry! So glad I was able to snag one of these beauties. Love the story! Jacks was my favorite character from Caraval and I love that he has his own story now. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
One of the best books Iāve read all year. If you loved Caraval, I dare say youāll love this one more. I thought Caraval was a solid 4 star trilogy, but this book is starting off strong with 5 stars. A very likable, and level-headed MC (Evangeline Fox), stars opposite of the chaotic and unpredictable Jacks. They make a very interesting duo, and Iām very sad I have to wait for the next book.
I really enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend to fantasy readers. I will definitely be buying the second one. Good world-buildings and characters, and I love trying to work out what is going to happen next.
