The new slimmed down "Smart" remote that came with our new Samsung QLED TV drove us crazy. It came with virtually no instructions and the on screen user manual wasn't much help either. Most functions needed two or three actions. What a waste of time! It is so WOKE it has a solar battery. How frustrating would that be when you get home after dark and it is flat. Can you imagine checking into a hotel and having to find the remote on the window sill where it has to live to be charged? Thankfully we discovered the replacement remote with lots of buttons we know and it requires one action to change a station and perform other functions. We love it. Also when it goes flat we can change the batteries!

Such a frustrating remote to use. We had to replace our previous remote and were told this was the only one that could replace it. The functionality isnt intuitive like the previous one, and the buttons either done work or are delayed so youre navigating all over the place and repeatedly pressing buttons trying to get it to work. Will be researching alternatives to replace it, again.

This is a great simple remote. Mum couldn't use the remote that goes with the Samsung frame tv well. So this one really simplifies it for her. Works well with absolutely no set up.

Very easy to use, no setup was required. It just needs to be aimed in perfect angle directly at the centre of the TV to work. I find every second or third button press will work so its fairly frustrating.
This zapper worked straight away with our Samsung TV, no hassles, no complications. And it has a SmartHub button which I never thought I'd find in a 3rd party remote. The icing on the cake was the plastic-free packaging. An awesome product .
All I had to do was put batteries in it! No programming. No codes. After panic when I found my Samsung remote had developed a fault making it unusable, I remembered that I had previously heard of replacement remotes being available so I ordered one. It was in my hands in a couple of days and, as advertised, worked immediately. A couple of functions were erratic to start with but the manual teaching method fixed that promptly. Best of all, it was also settable to control the volume on my Bose sound bar ! (would have given 5 stars if the new remote also controlled the Bose Power On/Off).
Pros: Good size remote and buttons easy to press.Similar design. Cons: Would be great if it could learn functions of Fire TV remote.I bought a universal remote for £10 at first thinking it would works on my TV and it did but could not do all the functions. I then decided to go with this LG one at double the price and I do not understand the difference in price because there's nothing else that the first remote I bought could not do.Obviously, the packaging is damaged when you open it because you have to cut the cardboard box so it means I can't return it.
Pros: Worked really well for my parents LG TV as a replacement for the original LG magic remote which they had lost. They were able to use it straight away with no set up needed. Would recommend!
This is a perfectly ok as a replacement for your old Samsung remote. But, its just not that intuitive to use. The original Samsung remote is so beautifully designed and simple, it is very difficult to replicate its functionality, looks and ease of use using an old fashioned remote design - which is what this is.
