Narration volume is too low to hear in almost any situation. Indoors in a quiet room, I can just barely hear it. At that point, the narrator'ss thick Boston accent made me give up.One star for the story because the app requires it. I never did listen past the first chapter.

I initially got the book after watching the Jach Reacher movie. Tom Cruise does not measure up (literally!) to the literary version of Jack Reacher. The story line was enticing with many plot twists and some cerebral inventiveness! Taking a seemingly slam-dunk murder into reasonable doubt then complete absolution is quite a feat. Kept me guessing all along as to who the real culprits were!I was very disappointed in the two guys that read the story. Really do not know their age, but every character sounded old _ with the proverbial shaky voice. This was especially true when trying to "voice" the women characters. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I got it as a free download for my nook, so I wasn't expecting much. The main character was a bit one dimensional but this was the ninth book in the series. Maybe the author figured you knew the character by now! The plot was well thought out, though, and the action moved swiftly. I might give Lee Child another shot, so to speak.

My thoughts

I have not yet read the book. But if and when I do, I put my trust into the author, Lee Child, that the story will be good and exciting. I have seen the movie based on this book and I shall look forward to the blanks that I shall find. I'm always looking for a deeper story when the movie doesn't come close to the book,

I am kept on the edge with the Reacher adventures. Sometimes a bit raw for me, but I get past it. I keep going back to see what he is up to next. Yes, I'm admitting to being a little shocked at times too. But, I keep coming back.I found Lee Child books by accident and had his books in a drawer, then, one day I said, "Oh well, guess I'll see what these rare."Well, now I'm hooked!But, I hate Tom Cruse as Reacher in the Reacher part in movies! He just does not fit Reachers image. I find him Flat. So, I stick with the books to maintain my image of the real Reacher.

Thrilling story

Should be noted it was made into a movie called Reacher. Tom cruise played jack reacher. Cruise did a great job but the Reacher series is quite compelling. An addictive series.

Very Entertaining

A good solid entry into the Jack Reacher series. There's a good mystery here and some classic Reacher action, including a very tense scene at the end. If you have never read any of the Reacher books, this one would get you hooked on the series. If you're already familiar with the series, this is one you should have in your collection.

Well worth reading.

Any Jack Reacher novel written solo by Lee Child is a guaranteed good read. Any details are factual and accurate. You don't have to take notes to follow the story line. There's always something interesting.

one of the better Reacher novels, moves right along, the bad guys are revealed a lot sooner than in most other Reacher novels, but it works really well. Very satisfyingly read.
