05/12/2022Long time OnePlus User. Bought a OnePlus 9 Pro in November 2021.Really disappointed in this one after just 1 year of use. Upgraded from OnePlus 6T because I wanted to stream mobile games and have better camera functionality. Overheats a good deal and crashes games. 60fps video recording is stuttering and lags, making the videos totally useless for reels and vlogs. Will be switching to Pixel next year as my friend switched from OnePlus 5 to Pixel 6 and he's very happy with the camera & phone functionality. Probably will get the Pixel 7 pro once the price comes down a bit.Colour OS is not particularly great either.

Oneplus phones offer some of the best phones on the market. Excellent processor, a super smooth 120hz display, tons of RAM and onboard storage, and fast charging all at a great price. I've had this phone for 3 years and it's still extremely fast. The only complaint I have would be camera quality. I think the hardware is good but their camera software could be improved. For the price, there isn't a better phone on the market.

Item works great! My one complaint (and I bought two so my wife confirmed it with hers) the battery life of both of them is not that great. Same usage as my prior phone and it will be down to 20% well before the end of day. The device had no flaws, perfect looking screen, functioning GSM radio, great voice quality on calls. Really my only complaint is the battery doesn't last as long as it did on my older/slower phone.

I was a huge OnePlus fanboy because of how great the 6t was, that phone made a great impression and when it was time to get a new phone I decided to be loyal to the brand. Big mistake. Not a great phone. Loved my oneplus 6t for 4 years, but I "upgraded" to the 9pro about 4 months ago and it's been a disappointing experience. The phone is used in Manhattan NYC and doesn't work reliably with T-Mobile, it's marginally better on wifi, but it is absolutely unreliable, especially when used indoors on cellular, even near windows! The phone doesn't feel appreciably faster and oftentimes functions more slowly than the older phone. The ergonomics are not great, the bottom edge area of the screen is waaay too sensitive and inaccurate. The phone doesn't feel appreciably faster and oftentimes functions more slowly than the older phone. The ergonomics are not great, the bottom edge area of the screen is waaay too sensitive and inaccurate. As with my previous OnePlus, typing is still a nightmare, the autocorrect is not improved in any way, and the keyboard is terrible as usual. The phones are no longer supplied with a screen protector and bumper case pre-equiped, and nobody sells an exact fit protector for this oddly shaped screen, so be prepared to live with a naked screen, it seems to be fairly durable and scratch resistant so far, but I've only had it for 4 months. The camera is better, faster, clearer, and brighter, that is probably the biggest improvement when compared to 6t. The phone is bigger and the screen is much bigger and nicer, the tradeoff being even less of a one handed experience, it's a little tighter in the pocket, and the battery life is not improved. Speaking of the battery, while it doesn't seem to give better runtime, the 65w fast charging is lightning fast, and even when using my old 15w oem warp charger from the 6t the 9pro fully charges from under 50% in about 20 minutes. Connects to things like headphones unreliably, often it refuses to output sound unless I restart the phone and it makes static when I walk with phone in rear pants pockets. It seems to struggle to run basic apps like YouTube, Instagram, Reddit. As well as it just does terrible running the Epson print app or the Ricoh photo connect app The phone is improved in very few ways and I think it seems less reliable than previous model. So it's an ok device and a weak phone and I don't think it was ever a flagship level phone, it's good enough if it can be purchased for under $500. One plus was running a promotion that when combined with my trade in of my old handset would have made the 9 pro a decent deal, but in the end oneplus also did some slimy stuff regarding the cashback rebate, they gave me store credit instead of the agreed upon Cashback on my trade-in, but it's worthless because I already transacted the new phone so now the rebate ($180) is basically stolen by OnePlus because it was not given to me as Cashback, it's store credit trapped in their ecosystem of disapointment. Really leaves sour taste in my mouth. In summation, I won't recommend OnePlus phones to anybody anymore, and my next phone will not be a OnePlus phone.
Today, I want to share my frustrating experience with my OnePlus 9 12 Gb(50 k) smartphone. This is not a rant, but rather a sincere warning to all potential buyers. For the third time, I am facing a software issue on my OnePlus 9, with green line on my display. You might remember my previous posts about this problem. The first time it happened, I had to travel 65 km to reach the service center, which was an inconvenience to say the least. The second time, I was relieved to discover a drop-in option, only to be informed that I would have to wait a staggering 60 days for a resolution. Sixty days without a properly functioning phone is simply unacceptable. Sixty days without a properly functioning phone is simply unacceptable. I trusted OnePlus, but they let me down.I can't help but feel that OnePlus is taking its consumers for granted. It seems like they prioritize marketing and sales over providing reliable products and efficient customer service. This will be the last OnePlus product I ever purchase, and I encourage you all to think twice before investing your hard-earned money in their devices. As consumers, we deserve better. We deserve products that work flawlessly and companies that stand behind their promises. Let's make our voices heard and demand better accountability and transparency from brands like OnePlus. As a dedicated OnePlus user for several years, I have witnessed their impressive marketing campaigns and their promises of superior products. However, my recent experiences have left me feeling disillusioned. It seems that their focus on marketing has overshadowed their commitment to addressing software issues and providing timely support to their loyal customers.#OnePlusFail #CustomerServiceMatters #TechAccountability
I came to OnePlus because I have heard really good things about the brand and the phone was supposed to have really good specs but this is by far the worst phone I have ever had. There's an overwhelming amount of random software bugs and countless that I cannot think of. I've had issues where I have to press the power button multiple times to get it to turn on. Constantly drops cellular service (I've tried different providers and the issue still existed and I've also swapped the sim to a different phone but the issue did not occurr on the other phone) The camera would sometimes show nothing and I'd have to restart it. It would often not send messages and I'd have to restart the phone. It would often not send messages and I'd have to restart the phone. Sometimes base apps for the phone simply wouldn't work and I'd have to go into settings and force them to stop then re-open the app. The camera is okay but the camera software is poor at it's best. Fingerprint sensor worked when it wanted to. The back glass broke while in the case and in my pocket, I have no idea how that happened so take that how you will. Overall I'm pretty upset about how good it was supposed to be and how under delivered it was and how many issues it has.
After both using the 6T for a couple of years with relatively few issues, I was looking for a new phone for my wife and figured I'd get her this one. It is terrible. The battery life is abysmal. It will randomly shut off when she's in the middle of doing something, even with 70% battery life. It charges very quickly when it works, but even with the little charge icon, she'll come back 30 minutes later and it will still be dead. Not sure if we just got a bad one, but this thing was not worth the money. It's out of the return window, so I'm not sure if it's something I can address with oneplus or not. I tried to leave a review on their site, but I have not yet figured out how because I did not purchase from the oneplus store. If you do buy this phone, be aware that you'll have to charge it constantly. You probably won't make it through an 8 hour workday. I can only hope they check the reviews here and reach out to me.
Physical quality is fantastic! The phone feels good in the hand, the high refresh rate helps everything feel really smooth, and operationally I've encountered minimal issue - very rare to have crashes or hangs. The Hasselblad-designed camera system is supposed to be one of the highlights of 1+ phones, however I find myself underwhelmed by it fairly often. Occasionally I'll snap a fantastic photo and know that the capability is there, but more often than not the phone has focus issues that cause images to be out of focus/blurry. It's almost as though it treats every photo as a portrait or macro when it's not. This happens on all camera modes, even manual with settings set to avoid this, and the camera lenses clean.Battery life was phenomenal for the first several ... MorePhysical quality is fantastic! The battery has noticeably declined in max life at this point, but still holds a day's charge with intermittent/a few total hours of average use. This is despite my efforts to keep minimal background apps running and keeping the phone off the charger when the battery is full.
So I really got this phone because it was the only phone I could pick up in store the same day. With that being said... Coming from Samsung this phone leaves a lot to be desired. Certain things annoy me like the alarm, you can't add extra time to the snooze. So you want to come back in 15min but you have the snooze setting for 5min, you'll have to hit snooze 3 times. Another annoying thing is the physical switch for ring, vibrate, and silent and then if you accidentally press the power and up volume trying to screenshot it put the phone in vibrate mode then you have to toggle the switch back into ring mode. Also the quick drop down menu is for only turning on or off the functions, so to change settings you have to actually go the settings apps and choose for ... MoreSo I really got this phone because it was the only phone I could pick up in store the same day. Battery life is good with the battery saver mode on. The warp charger is fantastic for extremely fast charging. When I use certain apps the bottom of the screen gets jittery like I'm moving it up and down but I'm not doing anything so that also very annoying. Also would be good to have a secure folder built into the OS instead of having to using another app and the hidden photos feature is usually since it doesn't require a passcode and other apps still access the photos you hide away. I do actually love the camera though. The 8K video is phenomenal. Also there is a lack of good protective cases for what would be a flagship phone.
It's a stellar device that combines impressive performance, a stunning display, a top-notch camera system, and a sleek design. The fast processor and ample RAM ensure smooth multitasking and quick app launches. I've never experienced any lag or slowdown, even when running resource-intensive applications. The quality of photos and videos is outstanding, even in challenging lighting conditions. The sleek and premium finish gives the phone a sophisticated look, while the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip. The intuitive navigation, coupled with regular software updates, ensures that you always have access to the latest features and security enhancements. It's a true companion that enhances every aspect of your digital life. Highly recommended!
