I used to sing Onnit's praises to anyone that would ask what the best protein powder is, I mean a literal "You have to try how good it is, it's crazy how good they can make protein powder taste!" As a user of the Total Human vitamin regiment for a a couple years now, I decided to try one more Onnit product. This Whey Isolate Protein has been part of my program for a month now. I'm consuming it immediatley after workouts and I'm already seeing and feeling the results. I’ve been taking the Vanilla flavor Whey, which for me was one of the best whey protein you can find on the market, but not anymore, they obviously changed the ingredients! There is no more nice smell when you open the lid, the taste is also more artificial and it is not dissolved as easy as it was before! I have ordered once from Amazon and now directly from their site, just to make sure. All the same. So disappointed and will not recommend this protein to anyone from now on!
I’m guessing we couldn’t get this protein for a while because they were changing the formula. The new formula is terrible, the taste is awful, almost chemical-like, and the texture is also bad. The powder is much more fine than it used to be. I see that Onnit is saying, “not all flavors are for everyone”, then please call it something else. It’s not the same vanilla whey protein I’ve been subscribing to for the last 5 years. I expect better from this company. I’ve ordered on Amazon hoping to get one of the last previous formulas “from New Zealand cows” while I figure out what other protein I’ll be getting next. Please change it back Onnit.
Been ordering this product since late 2019 / early 2020, and have had it on auto shop for most of the same period. I opened up the most recent shipment today, and immediately knew something was off, come to find out they got a new manufacturer for the protein. The old texture was soft, fluffy, and was clearly of exceptional quality. The new texture is thin, almost like sand but much more fine. The old stuff smelled sweet, the new stuff smells like cardboard. The old stuff had a perfect texture when mixed with milk, the new stuff is thick. The old stuff tasted 10/10, the new stuff tastes 4/10. I’d rather have the old stuff back even if it means a missed shipment from time to time then to get this stuff on a regular basis. Sad!
Ever since Onnit sold to a public company their products have started sourcing ingredients from different places and the quality seems to be going downhill. The creatine is no longer from creapure, this protein is no longer from new zealand. I could have sworn they used to say what the typical amino acid profile was, but now they just say "complete". They seem to be making changes that allow their marketing to be basically the same while the actual quality is deteriorating. I've lost faith in the company. Might switch to Kion...I'm not sure yet.
Subscribed for years to the vanille whey. Suddenly, the tub is bigger amd the lid is different. No biggie. But, I open the tub, and I could instantly smell and see that something was off. The formula has changed. This powder is now granular. The flavor is way off. The texture is garbage. And it absolutely upset my stomach. Super disappointed to come here and see Onnit just assuming people 'don't like the flavor'. No. We loved it. You changed it with no notice, and are now selking Walmart protein in your tubs. Anyone have any suggestions for brands with comperable quality to what Onnit used to sell?

My father and I had the vanilla protein along with you vitamins on sub for around 2 years and it has nothing to do with a new flavor its completely different protein powder. It seems like the cheap protein I use to get in high school now, which makes me worry about the other products. What shortcuts will be taken to save money on the vitamins I take as well if not already. I really hope this gets changed and it was just a mistake not a way to save money. However until then I'll have to find my protein and vitamins somewhere else. Quality breeds trust.
I like the taste of Mexican Chocolate flavor protein. The size of the container is small compared to other brands of protein that cost this much. I pay the same price for a brand called syntha-6 protein, and it comes with 48 servings. Onnit comes with 30 servings ... You have a quality product but your competitor has a better price point providing more protein and that is why I did not give you five stars. I would buy a 50 serving container. I hope this helps.
