I am stunned at the improvement easily measured by improvement in lameness scores and activity level. One dog with bilateral anterior crucial repair (TPLO) is not requiring NSAID therapy, and the NSAID dose for the 12 year old Pointer has been been reduced by half while the dog’s activity level has noticeably increased.Hey Open Farm, if you will make a gently cooked recipe with only fish, I’ll purchase it. The surf and turf has too much beef, and the inflammatory effects manifest as lameness in my two large dogs

My dog has always been a picky eater and after 7 years of constantly having to change his food we finally found a company that meets his high standards LOL. We have been feeding him Open Farm for several months now and he loves it so much that at breakfast and dinner time he will sit near his food bowl waiting for us to feed him. My 8 year old toy poodle doesn't like this 'rustic salmon stew' although she's never been a fussy eater. It has a very fishy smell and I can sort of understand why she might not like it. It doesn't have much texture that she can chew or bite; more like all the ingredients are mixed together into a paste (except for tiny bits of what seems like lentils, carrots and green leaves).

I adopted my 6 year old golden 5 months ago, and the transformation in her has been remarkable. I largely attribute that to her diet of Open Farm kibble and rustic stew. She used to suffer from constipation and very thin tail (uncharacteristic of a golden). Now she rushes to her bowl at meal time, has healthy, regular stools 2x a day, and a beautiful full golden coat. Also, she has reached a healthy weight without being starved to reach it (she spent her life as a breeding dog before I adopted her from a puppy mill). I am relieved that she is finally really enjoying life and her meals are a quintessential part of that.
I purchased the salmon dry kibble grain free, salmon stew wet, beef stew wet and white fish wet. My dogs absolutely loved almost all of there food. They didn’t like the white fish wet food. I bought a case of it after two boxes I had to give it away to a neighbor who couldn’t afford to buy dog food. Which her puppy loves it. It went to someone in need and her new puppy loved the food. It was a win win. I just placed a order for 2 bags of dry, 2 cases of beef and 2 cases of salmon, Open Farms makes a really good product.FYI one of my dogs is allergic to all poultry and eggs. They don’t add any egg to there food which was great. A lot of the other companies add egg or some type of poultry to there food . I know there food is wholesome and fresh . After having many dogs in the past and seeing them develop health issues/diseases over the years, I began researching healthier food alternatives for my eight month old pug Annie. I have a 17 month old standard poodle who is a little bit picky, but does pretty well with his food. I do open farm kibble and a few tablespoons of wet food and a sprinkle of bone broth and sometimes a shake of buttermilk powder. I found this wet food very wet, kind of soupy, which surprised me. It does make it easier to mix in with the kibble! He isn’t super enthusiastic about it and he doesn’t always finish it but he does eat most of it!
