YES I AGREE. I tried different brands of color polish with the OPI Topcoat (essie, orly, la girl, China Glaze, popparazzi, OPI) and it bubbles even after a half hour of waiting for the first layer to dry! The bubbles show up after 5-10 minutes after application. And my nails are buffed and cleaned thoroughly. I was so surprised that OPI would sell such a thing. To be honest I bought the OPI topcoat along with two other OPI polishes together to try the OPI brand for the first time. Also, to my dismay, the OPI polishes that I bought recently dont apply smoothly and even gets slightly chunky as I slightly overlap in thin coats as I try to apply polish to my whole nail. I searched up "Why does OPI top coat suck" to see if anybody shared the same sentiment. Now I am here ... MoreYES I AGREE. The colors are just so beautiful, opaque and last a very long time. I always have the problem that with other nail polishes the varnish flakes off very quickly. This is not the case with OPI. ### Product Review: OPI "Green-Wich Village" 0.5 FL OZ **Rating:** ★★★★☆ (4/5 Stars) I never thought I’d have an opinion on nail polish, but OPI’s "Green-Wich Village" caught my attention the moment my wife first wore it. It’s not your typical shade—it’s a bold, leafy green that stands out in a sea of reds, pinks, and nudes. And let me tell you, it’s grown on me quite a bit. **Personal Insights:** At first, I wasn’t sure about this bright green color. It’s definitely not something you see every day. But after a while, I started to appreciate how unique and refreshing it is. My wife loves experimenting with colors, and this one seems to capture her playful side perfectly. But after a while, I started to appreciate how unique and refreshing it is. My wife loves experimenting with colors, and this one seems to capture her playful side perfectly. Whether she’s wearing it with a casual outfit or something more dressed up, "Green-Wich Village" adds a fun, unexpected twist to her look. I’ve noticed that this polish has a nice finish—it’s glossy without being over-the-top shiny, and it dries to a smooth, even coat. My wife mentioned that it’s pretty easy to apply, too, with no streaks or bubbles. It’s also surprisingly versatile for such a bold color. She’s worn it to everything from weekend outings to evening events, and it always seems to fit the occasion. **Pros:** - **Unique and Bold Color**: The vibrant green is eye-catching and adds a playful, modern touch to any outfit. - **High-Quality Finish**: It dries to a smooth, glossy finish that looks professionally done. - **Long-Lasting**: The polish stays vibrant and chip-free for days, even through busy activities. - **Easy Application**: The formula is easy to work with, offering an even application without streaks or bubbles. **Cons:** - **Not for Everyone**: The bold green color might not be to everyone’s taste, and it may not suit every occasion. - **Multiple Coats Required**: My wife needed a couple of coats to get the color just right, which adds a bit of extra time to the process. **How It Fits Into Our Daily Life:** "Green-Wich Village" has become a bit of a statement color in our lives. My wife doesn’t wear it every day, but when she does, it’s clear she’s in the mood for something fun and different. It’s perfect for weekends, vacations, or any time she wants to stand out a little. And while it’s definitely bold, it’s also surprisingly versatile—it works with more outfits than I would’ve expected. **Who Should Consider This Nail Polish?** If you’re someone who loves to make a statement with your nail color and aren’t afraid to try something bold, OPI’s "Green-Wich Village" could be a great addition to your collection. It’s perfect for anyone looking to add a pop of fun and color to their look, especially during the spring and summer months. Give it a go—you might be surprised at how much you love it!... Show more

This is one of my absolute favorite OPI shades. Perfect for any season: spring, summer, fall or winter (I wore this over the Christmas period). No shimmer in here, no glitter and plenty of staying power. I also don't require a top coat as it's very glossy on its own. 2 coats of this and I'm good to go. Love the large brush which makes for easy application, however the only thing to be aware of is that under certain artificial lighting (i.e my office workplace) it can morph into an orange-pink shade, which for me is far from a problem as A) I find it looks equally good like that, in its own unique way, and B) keeps my office co-workers guessing - when they catch me outside on my lunch break... "How did she have one shade on inside and then stepped out in another!?"... Show more

First, let me clarify, that my nails in the product photo that corresponds with this review are professionally done gel x nails so please do not use them as any type of reference point. On to this basecoat/topcoat combo. I don’t know if it’s even truly fair to rate it average because to a certain extent, you’re definitely getting what you pay for. If you’re looking to skip steps and use a two in one (vs. Individual base coat topcoat) you probably have to expect slightly lower performance. After all, does anyone really like two in one shampoo? Is a Spork ever as good as a fork or a spoon individually? Anyway, this will protect your nails somewhat from color, and it will also somewhat seal That color in as a topcoat. It does dry pretty quickly, and it is certainly ... I really like OPI Start To Finish. It’s a great all in one product, and it’s high quality. In fact, all products I’ve ever used from OPI have been high quality. OPI Start To Finish is a base coat, top coat and nail strengthener. I apply a coat before applying my nail polish and allow to fully dry. It actually dries pretty quickly. Then I apply my nail polish as usual, followed by a coat of Start To Finish when it is fully dry. It doesn’t strip any colour from my nail polish and leaves my nails with a lovely glossy finish. I do find that my nail polish lasts longer when I use this. I really like this product, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality all in one product.... Show more

Formula was different
First, let me say I love OPI lacquer and it is all I ever use for my pedi's, and I have been using it since the polish first came out- decades, I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have bought a bottle, in all those years, where there seemed to be something wrong with the formula. Unfortunately, this is one of those times. I just received it and was excited to put on for the fall season. I was expecting the opacity and formula to be like Lincoln Park after dark, etc. I prepped as I always do, had on my base coat, ridge filler, and the first stroke, was oh no! The formula is so thin and runny, that the first coat looked translucent and streaky! Even the brush was not the usual thickness. It was so thin that it made a mess, I normally don't need any ... The formula is so thin and runny, that the first coat looked translucent and streaky! Even the brush was not the usual thickness. It was so thin that it made a mess, I normally don't need any cleanup around cuticles when applying my polish, and that was not the case with this. I was hoping the second coat would cover better and ,while it is opaque, it is still streaky and looks bad. What a disappointment! I don't want to do a 3rd coat as then even days later if wear closed shoes, there is an issue. I may wait a week and add another coat, but I will not be buying this color again. It could be pretty, if it was the same beautiful formula all the other colors are, I just hope they didn't do anything to change the formula, and maybe I just got a lemon, but this one is a bummer.... Pompeii Purple and Teal the Clown Comes Home
Pompeii PiupleShade on nail is darker and off from looking at bottle.Too thick. Polished toenails 3 hours ago and still tacky. Used 8 decent sized drops of nail thinner before I stared on my fingernails. Drying is somewhat better.TealThick. Used this on my toes last week. Finished painting my toenails at 9am and the polish still smudged when I went to bed in the evening. While I’m not a professional, I have been doing my own mani’s and pedi’s for over 50 years. In other words I know what I’m doing and only have this issue with one other polish brand. A few years back I treated myself ta trip to the salon and the not drying issue happened then as well. OPI is nothing but marketing not a better product.... Show more
