This knife set is perfect, it’s got all the essentials. The knives hold their edge really well. I’m terrible at sharpening knives, so this is a big deal for me. Be careful not to put in the dishwasher. The handles don’t like it. If by chance someone does put it in the dishwasher (Unbeknownst to you) rub some beeswax(or the product you use on your wooden cutting board) and it will it will revitalize the handle.

If you have small hands these might work, however, not the sharpest knives. The peeler works well if you use it on an angle, I think it was designed that way but it was not intuitive for me. The other knives just are not sharp and the metal is also thin. Not impressed

I LOVE these knives. They have become essential parts of my daily food prep. What an edge! Opinel continues to impress.
Highly disappointed. Very flimsy. The peeler has to be held at EXACTLY the correct angle for it to work and the knives feel like they are going to fall apart in my hand. Easily the worst purchase I've ever made except for the bait-and-switch they pulled on my with my Staub Cocotte (that I never received).

While I had used a multi-tool knife for camping/travel before, cutting food with the same knife used to open boxes, etc. - it's gross and feels unrefined. Excellent sharp knives, breeze through vegetables and meat. Holding their edge very well so far and the peeler also sharper than most I have used in the past. Parents have an old non-stainless Opinel knife, so well worn, but holds an edge superbly well, that I bought these hoping for similar performance and haven't been disappointed. Would buy again without hesitation.
No kitchen should ever be without an Opinel...and here you have a wonderful selection of Opinels at a bargain price. How can anyone resist? I have chosen the familiar wooden handles, well-known and loved in France, and am particularly glad to have replaced my potato peeler (so easy to throw away into the bin with the peelings!). As always with Claudia and Julia, my package arrived very quickly from Madrid.....if only more Spanish businesses could match this efficiency!Thank you, thank you and best wishes for another very successful New Year.
