I have been using this solution for like over ten years.Something happened as I gad bought several bottles and some smelled like mikdew yet the expiration date was good After that ,my eyes started getting ref even though i bought newer bottles. I even bought a more recent bottle after I had taken a break fir a month and same issue! There is something wrong with thys solution. I have been to two eye doctirs who told ne my eyes were irritated We switched to dailys and while its made a difference I have to wonder what damage was done to my eyes. This needs recalled.The replenish line also had issues and it was recalled and there is a lawsuit on that one.If you devide to use thus solution be careful. 8 Plus of Comfortable Wear

I love this contact lens solution. It cleans the contacts and moisturizes them making them so comfortable to wear. I also noticed that my eyes are not as red with this contact lens solution as with some other ones like Biotrue. I think it may be due to the fact that it moisturizes the lenses. Overall I really love it as it gives me 8 hours and more of comfortably being able to wear my contact lenses.

Bad solution do not use

I’ve worn contacts for 10 years and have never had this many issues with them. The solution does not clean them at all - have to rub so many times. I constantly have to take them out to rub them “clean” again before they become acceptable. They also seem to be drier when I use this solution, so they rip easily and I have to replace them earlier than I need to. My eyes have also started getting irritated. Do not recommend!!

Do not buy!!! Needs a recall.

The first one smelled and my eyes starting getting dry. So i the it away and opened the other bottle too. it smelled and i thought it must just be a new formula. So I used it until my eyes were red for a month and getting even more dry. my eye doctor told me to change solution and within a week it's a ton better. They have screwed something up at the factory. Horrible Smell

I have been buying this brand for years. About a month ago I started smelling a funky smell in my bathroom sink.Tried drano, enzymes and vinegar but the smell kept coming back.Had open a new bottle of Opti Free and spilled some on my hand and realized where the horrible smell was coming from.I googled it and other people have been complaining about a foul odor.I called Alcon and it should not smell. They want me to send back and they will send replacements. But the product needs to be recalled.I went to my cvs and there was more on the shelf with the same lot number but not sure if they will do anything. Loved It....But NOT with the Hydraglyde!

I've been wearing contact lenses for almost 20 years. I've tried every contact lens cleaner out there and a few years back, I found and fell in love with Pure Moist. The comfort and level of hydration I got with Pure Moist was FANTASTIC. The reason I'm giving this one star is because I "do not" like their new formula with Hydraglyde. About two months ago, I ran out of my Pure Moist and ran to my local store and picked up another bottle. Not realizing that it had Hydraglyde in it. After a day or two of using the contact lens cleaner, my eyes would get "blurry" during the day...making it nearly impossible to see anything. I thought there was something wrong with my eyes, so I made an appointment with my eye doctor. Nothing wrong. He asked what formula I was using and I said "Pure Moist...I've been using it for years!" so he sent me home, saying if it continued, I may need to change contact lens brands (even though I've been wearing Air Optix Aquas for over 8 years.)The blurriness continued and I couldn't figure out why...I hadn't changed contact lens brands, was following all protocol with hygiene and was (I thought) using the same Pure Moist. It was getting to the point I almost made an appointment with my primary care doctor to see if there was something else wrong causing my vision to go blurry. One day, I was in the bathroom and had nothing to do but look around (toilet time, sorry) and I noticed that the Pure Moist bottle had the words "Hydraglyde" on it and a light bulb went off. They changed the formula. I immediately went out and bought another brand (Blink contact lens cleaner...basic of the basic cleanser) and it was like night and day. My vision was clear, I was able to work on the computer without having to "assume" I was writing correctly, etc. I am very happy I figured out the problem, but not so happy about this change. Now...Air Optix Aquas are being phased out, according to my eye doctor, and being replaced with Air Optix Hydraglyde...so you can be sure in the next year or so, I'll have to change brands of contacts...but that's something I'll have to worry about when it happens unfortunately. After doing some research, I realized I'm not the only one unhappy with the change. One reviewer on a site said the Hydraglyde made her feel like she was "looking through a lens that had been covered with vaseline"....yeah that's about right!

My number one solution

Great stuff. I’ve used a few deferent brands and types of contact lens solution. Some bottles have bad nozzles, some feel rough in the eyes, some smell a bit strange or strong. But this one is the stuff. Beautiful laminar flow out of the nozzle, very light and comfortable on my eyes, and doesn’t have any strange smells. The bottle cap design is also very sturdy, and I’m never worried about it cracking when I try to shut it. I live in a dorm and carry it back-and-forth from the sink in a toiletry bag. It swings around in the bag while laying sideways or upside down and it never leaks. It’s a bit more expensive. But you get what you pay for.

Opti free pure moist

my daughter has used this product for years. both the pure moist and the refresh(by mistake). I recently bought her 2 double packs and they both smelled horrible like mold. I called the company and they did replace them. didn't say why they had the smell but immediately offered a replacement. so something is t right. the expiration date was 2025! so he cautious what your putting in your eye as I seen where there was a recall a while back on the refresh!

This solution is the devil.

I purchased a small bottle of ths for a weekend trip. It isn't the solution I typically use at home. The trip ended up being ruined because after soaking my contacts in this solution friday night i could barely see the rest of the weekend. My eyes became red, irritated, and painful. I don't use this solution at home. I only bought it because it was a small easy to travel with bottle. It cost me a trip to the eye doctor, a new pair of contacts, and it took several weeks for my eyes to get back to normal. I wouldn't wish this solution on my worst enemy.

game changer for me

I am a HUGE believer in Opti-Feee. i was having trouble with my contacts by the end of day and I switched to this a few years back and ill oay every penny for it every time!!! i even got colored contacts once, they hurt my eyes so bad. let them soak overnight in this situation and Viola! i was able to wear them all day. im just a HUGE believer because its been the best I've ever used for cleaning and comfort!
