Optimum Grain Free Dry Dog Food Chicken & Vegetables 2.5kg

Sorry, not a good experience with this dry food. Our dog started vomiting on this and it was quite frequent. She may have an intolerance to chicken/by-products which feature heavily in this food. With recent press on megaoesophagus we stopped it. An alternative grain free and chicken free product is fine, no issues.

Dog not overly keen

I don't generally feed my dog dry dog food because she doesn't really like it, I also don't like the idea of grain in commercial dog food so was pleased to try this being grain free. The ingredients list is pretty broad, not sure what protein by products are or vegetables are in there and it is something I would like to know. I like the idea of having dry food on hand to supplement the usual diet of my dog. For the taste test my dog ate it quite well to start with but then walked away and was really take it or leave it. When given the next time she sniffed it and chose not to eat, but did go back later and graze if I left it in her bowl. This would probably be a good backup food for my dog but probably wouldn't choose it as part of her regular diet.

Fussy pooch no more

For a pooch that is a lazy chewer & prefers wet food, my poochie had no issues with chewing on these at dinner time. She was always waiting for her dinner.Highly recommend.

Large biscuits for a small dog

My dogs enjoyed their dentastix. They take them away to a quiet corner and chew until they are all gone. They do not get bones often, so these are ok as a substitute.

Optimiun Grain free chicken &vegetables

My cocker spaniel is diabetic, this food seems to have helped with her glucose levels. Also the price is great and delivery in a couple of days. Thankyou pet circle

Optimum Grain Free a high-class product

Optimum Grain Free Chicken and Vegetables Dry Dog food is a high quality product. The size of the pellets were good for my cattle dog as normally she hoovers up smaller pellets without chewing, whereas with this product I could actively watch her chewing her food. Knowing that this dog food is grain free and much higher in protein than other brands is definitely a plus for me. My dog absolutely loved this food.

Our staffy seems to like it

The smell was stronger then the cheaper brands, however it caught our staffy's attention. She is usually very fussy when it comes to dry food. She sniffed it, tasted a little then walked away. Then came back and tried it again, and finished half of it. I came back 10 mins later and she had already finished the rest. Usually it takes her half a day to a full day to finish her bowl of dry food.

Stinky Gas

It sounded great on the package, a great option of dog food for our active cattle dog. Unfortunately it gave him terrible gas, more bowel movements which were very unpleasant. This product did not agree with our poor pooch.

Switching to this brand

The dogs seemed to enjoy this OPTIMUM Grain Free Chicken & Vegetables Dry Dog Food much more than other brands of dry dog food I have bought in the past. The benefit of being grain free is appealing, and the apparent enjoyment of this food by our dogs means that I will be switching brands of dry dog food.

Thumbs up for this Dry Dog Food

This is the brand my veterinarian recommended to me - I was not sure whether all three dogs would like the taste. Well, they woofed it down and licked the bowl hoping that more would magically appear. It's a thumbs up from them and a thumbs up from me because it certainly won't be wasted as has happened in the past when I have tried new dry dog food.
