I have been trying the Vanilla flavored Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Protein Shakes. These shakes are in a pack of 4. Each shake has 24g high quality protein with 130 calories and 1g of sugar. These shakes come in a disposable carton which makes it super packable. The flavor is fantastic. I can easily take a shake with me to replace a meal or for a nutritional snack. Sometimes I use a protein shake in my fruit smoothie to boost the flavor and amount of protein. I will definitely keep these shakes on hand!

This Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Protein Shake tastes amazing. This is the vanilla flavor and one 11 ounce container has 24g of protein and only 1 g of sugar and 130 calories. These drinks are for adults and they should be on a balanced healthy diet. This is not for a meal replacement and is not considered a low calorie food. My young son uses these as part of his daily protein intake and heavy weight lifting program, he loves these. Bonus: these are also Gluten free.

The packaging is great for storage or packing in a lunch bag. The screwtop stays on well and doesn't bust out. I was worried about the soft siding, but I haven't had any issues with busting or leaking. We've tried other flavors too but I prefer vanilla. While it tastes smooth on its own, it works well mixed with fruits in a smoothie. We've even used this as the main ingredient for ice cream. Fortunately, it isn't chalky and it doesn't leave an aftertaste. It is filling and fits well with my "breakfast in the go" routine.
I have a closet with at least 10 different tubs of protein powders, with various brands and various flavors. Gold standard is top of the line with macros, ingredients, flavor, and above all - value. Under $1 per serving for a top of the line powder is a great deal. My wife and I always keep Gold standard chocolate and vanilla flavors stocked in our home. They're great just with water or milk, but we often use them in different recipes. In yogurt bowls, smoothies, or in our Ninja Creami for protein ice cream. This is a great product in the protein space, and this is the best price you can get it for.
