Opus I by Amouage Eau De Parfum Spray 100ml

Though I am already an Amouage fan, this was a 'blind' purchase based on reviews of the fragrance. It is now among my favourites - a deep floral envelopping fragrance, lovely sillage, long lasting. Definitely a glorious statement of confident femininity. The packaging is also impressive. It makes a memorable gift for a lady - including Oneself!

The inspiration for Opus II by Amouage is the scent of old books, dark wooden shelves and antique leather armchairs. Amouage, however takes great care of its antiques - the leather armchairs are renovated, the dark wooden shelves are not dusty, and on them are books with dried flowers between their pages. The opening is a strong fern front, followed by a smoky, incense blow. This, however, is sweetened up by the flowers of jasmine, lavender and rose. The sweetness, however does not last long, because a leather accord comes to play. Fern with leather accord penetrates and complements each other. The greenest scent that I have ever smelt! Incredibly deep, brutal and smoky green mixture with leather, incense and oud. It is very divisive, lot of people like it but more of them hate it. Opus VII arrives with a roaring dark green and bracing galbanum /fenugreek tour de force. The cardamom and fenugreek are huge and some could consider borderline unpleasant. The theme with these fragrances are the top notes of dry spice exist as a thin veil which mellows and thins out further but never quite completely goes away until deep, deep into the drydown. When the heart opens up you can feel the true beauty of this one with leather, smoke, spicy oud and a bit of cumin. Very well balanced but a bit difficult at first. As this thing changes though you start to pick up on a creamy, oud, sandalwood, definite leather coming through after the first hour or so and smoke it's really really really good!!! I detect a distinct bay leaf note which is woody and incredibly smoky.It's like the sexiest peat bog you could ever wear. I never thought I could entertain and wearing something as wild as Opus VII. That wildness is not chaos though, it is sleek, stealthy and predatory. Possibly the most unexpected and unique perfume I own. This one, will take you on an adventure! Insane longevity, will last whole day.

Amouage The Library Collection Opus X Eau De Parfum 100Ml Spray

I LOVE this fragrance so much it is my all time favorite scents, I am afraid to ever run out of it I will buy another bottle even though I still have 80 of my bottle left. It smells delicious, inviting, warm, comforting, juicy, slight hint of density, a lot of depth, smells like spiced apricot, a apricot pie with cinnamon and spices on top, very slight hint of musk and powder not a lot though, Its complex in a simple way, you can smell the layers of the notes from the initial spray until it disappears. The only thing I dont like is that it becomes a skin scent pretty quickly if you dont overspray, you have to overspray if you want to leave a trail of this scent, it lasts on clothes forever though. Best from Opus line for me

Amouage Opus VI for me is the best and most favorite from Opus offerings. It has great longevity (8hours for me) and very good "Amouage projection" (but it’s not as heavy as Interlude for example). Completely unisex – would say slightly on masculine side. It is all about high quality incense…not a churchy/heavy smoky incense but good quality omani frankincense that still leans to smoky side but it’s soften by sandal wood & beautiful amber. This is one of those fragrances that when you put on you feel “royal”, it’s unique, oriental and very well blended. In the beginning there is also very clear opening note of Sichuan pepper that reminds me partially Journey Man which I love. Worth Every Hard Earned Penny...

I was lucky enough to receive this as a gift for my 40th birthday. I own several Amouage fragrances and this one is right at the top of the tree with Interlude.The Fragrances are similar in their build, but certainly different enough to warrant a purchase of both. If Interlude is up your street, I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending giving this one a whirl if you like smokey fragrances. I'd suggest giving the scent a trial if you can and I'll freely admit, I was a little hesitant at first. You really need to give this one a good chance for it to dry down a bit, and that's when Opus VII really starts to shine. The only thing that I would say is that it's not an everyday scent for me, I like to keep this one back for more special occasions.
