I received my Oral-b iO replacement toothbrush heads, unfortunately my Oral-b iO Series 7 toothbrush is only going to be available at the end of July. Unfortunately, these replacement heads are not backward compatible and only work with iO models. With that said, having used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for almost 10 years now, the new iO series really got me excited about the enhancements that Oral-b has developed. Having receding gums, I’m really looking forward to the iO’s ability to monitor my brushing and help me minimize my damage I do to my gums when brushing to hard. As always, I think this these replacement heads will be like the rest of Oral-b purchases, great products, great quality, great innovations.

The brush heads are comfortable, and leave my teeth feeling nice and clean. I use whitening toothpaste, and at this point I can't say whether these heads make my teeth look whiter as I've only been using for a couple weeks, but I like the heads and will continue to use whether they whiten or not. They're similar to other whitening toothbrushes, but they're designed for power toothbrushes, so I assume they'll work better than others. Give them a try, they work good and are comfortable, not too hard on my teeth or gums.

Oral B has always been a top electric toothbrush innovator, and these heads are their flagship example. As an oral health professional I've used several generations of both Braun's Oral B and Philips' Sonicare, and they both have strengths and weaknesses. The latest iO series is Oral B's best in my opinion. It actually provides real feedback on where you've brushed, has multiple vibration strength settings, and is easy to clean and maintain.I've also used the latest Sonicare Prestige by Philips for comparison. The Philips is more compact, with a smaller brush head, and is quieter. The Oral B provides better cleaning in my opinion, and the semi-rotary action is superior to the sonic vibrations of the Philips for removing debris. The Philips works best on the maximum setting, which may actually cause sensitivity in some cases. The Oral B is equally effective at all settings, allowing the "Sensitive" settings (there are two) to be fully utilized. You are also provided more information on the toothbrush handle itself on the Oral B, with just a row of dots on the Philips. The software app is also better on the Oral B, although both are sometimes quirky with a Bluetooth connection. The Oral B software is slightly more stable in that regard, and since both brushes are "smart" AI brushes, the software becomes more important for value for your money - both brushes operate just fine with no software connection, but Oral B's app allows you to delete sessions (if you ran the brush by mistake for instance), pause the brush while using it (to rinse for example) , and run the brush head to clean it. The downside is that Oral B uses your phone's camera for "coaching," so to benefit from the app you need to be facing your phone and it occasionally loses its orientation. Still better than the accelerometer in the Philips, which frequently gets confused over whether you're brushing the front or back surface of your teeth, and has no option to record brushing the occlusal (top surface). You also are limited to 20 seconds brushing each sextant, and the app moves on whether you finished or not - the Oral B app doesn't switch sextants until your teeth are clean. All in all, a better brush and a better head than the latest Philips, for function and utility -again my opinion - but either brush will improve your brushing habits and oral health.

The brush heads are great from a cleaning/performance perspective. Even though the iO10 model is new to me, I’ve been brushing with OralB electric brushes for almost 2 decades.Value-wise I received a 20% coupon to enroll in an Oral-B brush head replacement subscription. Sounds tempting…2 brushes for $29.99, reduced from $37.50, but wait a second….OR Amazon offers 4 heads (same OralB iO Ultimate Clean refills) for $32.Unless you really hate Amazon, I don’t know why you’d ever spend basically double for the same product.
Paying $15 for a pretty ordinary toothbrush that's useless in three months is outrageous. And sorry Oral-B, a mere ten bucks doesn't cut it either. More corporate hubris. There are too many better saner choices.
As a professional woman over the age of sixty, oral health continues to be one of the number one practices I maintain through using the Oral B products. Now with the iO technology in the electric toothbrush and the accompanying replacement heads, I give myself the best self-care possible. The straightforward design of the heads and the pressure sensor lights up when you brush too hard, too soft, or just right. I like that. It keeps me honest on my nightly routine. My favorite aspect is that the toothbrush head is noiseless with the rotation and oscillation movement, so as to not awaken my husband while I brush. Overall, excellent design, and excellent product, Oral B!
In my youth, I went from dentist to dentist due to a congenital issue involving my jaw. I have tried every oral mouth tool created. I will continue to be devoted to Oral B; it truly is an impressive product. I have used competitors which were very good just not exemplary like Oral B. Thank you
I didn't realize how much l love using this kind of toothbrush heads. This in particular makes brushing my teeth fun and safer. With the other regular type brush before, l typically poke my gums especially when I'm in a rush, this iO brush won't do that because the head is little and the vibrations will be felt pretty good either you brush lightly or hard. It can easily be guided to the very back of my teeth and makes them feel fresher and cleaner.
Still the same round shape but removes tarter 100% better. The brush head not only oscillates, rotates and vibrates for a better cleaning...but it seems to make it easier to clean your inner teeth. This toothbrush system connects to an app to show you exactly where you brushed and what you missed and if you are brushing too hard. It is kind of hard to watch the app as you brush but this is a great idea. Overall I like the concept and it's crazy to think a toothbrush could teach you how to properly brush your teeth. It's a keeper
I could not find any difference between my original brush heads and these other than the vibration, which really did not add extra benefit. Both are top quality. The only difference I saw was the color; the new ones are black. I've had these for two weeks. switching back and forth between them. There is literally no cleaning difference between them.
