Oral-B iO3 Electric Toothbrush

Oral-B iO3 Electric Toothbrush

(360 reviews)

Keep your pearly whites shining with this Oral B electric toothbrush. It's got a long-lasting battery and charging indicator, so you don't need to worry about it running out when your teeth feel a bit fuzzy. Plus, because the bristles oscillate and rotate, they'll remove more plaque than a manual brush - you'll be fresher than ever. There's even a Smart Pressure Sensor which lets you know when you're being a bit too hard on your gums. Not sure if you've been brushing long enough? The four 30-second timers tell you when to move on to the next set of gnashers. And since it comes with a brush head, you won't need to order in more for a while.

I put off buying one of the Oral-B iO range for quite a while now, as there was nothing wrong with the toothbrush i have. But i went on holiday and forgot my charger there and returned home without it.Which i was so happy about as it finally gave me the push i needed to buy a new one. Which im so grateful for. Because the difference in the brushing system is amazing. Now my teeth feel fresh and clean nd i feel proud to smile. The different speeds the iO3 has is brilliant and the indicator to let you no if you're brushing your teeth to hard. Im totally impressed with it.

Beware - the description of this product both on the box and the Boots website is very misleading. The Boots online information is just some blurb lifted from the OralB website and doesn’t detail what is actually in the box. Basically you just get 2 toothbrushes, there are no ā€œrefillā€ - ie spare brush heads - the travel case only fits one brush and there is only one charging unit. The instruction leaflet included is one of the most baffling I have ever seen - it’s just a series of pictures (no words), quite a challenge to de-code. Tried to search for more info online but all I discovered was that everyone else was as baffled as I was! There are also several different brush types which are very difficult to differentiate and the replacement IO brush heads are not the standard ones - if you replace the head at the frequency suggested these are very expensive toothbrushes to run! That said, the brush does seem to clean teeth efficiently but I can’t say it’s more efficient than the standard OralB brushes and therefore worth the extra cost

Not happy. Although it seems to clean well, it's no better than my old non-io brush. I only bought it because my old one broke on the bathroom floor when I dropped it.The big stock of unused brushes from my old brush don't fit. This had similar claims about cleaning power compared to a normal brush.Manual is non existent. Just a piece of paper with silly pictures. Doesn't explain cleaning modes, or the coloured lights that flash when you turn it off. I still don't really know how to adjust the cleaning time or what the options are. It's supposed to tell me when the brush needs changing. Great. But how does it know when I fit a new brush? Something to reset, or is it cleverer than that. The paper doesn't say.And the price - complete rip off.

I got this on sale thankfully as it is the worst electric toothbrush I have had. I can’t really complain about the actual brushing technique, my teeth feel clean after like they have with any other electric toothbrush, but my two main complaints are firstly the battery life - after a full nights charge I get perhaps three days of life before it dies with 3 seconds of warning mid brush. My previous cheaper oral b gave me two days of warning that it needed a recharge after ten days of usage! Secondly, it needs specific expensive brush heads - no cheap ā€˜dupes’ will do and none of the ones I already had for my old oral b toothbrush fit. I’m also concerned that the crevices inside the toothbrush will become mouldy/smell as due to the way the head fits there are tiny gaps ...Ā MoreI got this on sale thankfully as it is the worst electric toothbrush I have had. Fantastic toothbrush
4 August 2024

I bought this about a month ago from a big supermarket. I've had oral b electric toothbrushes in the past, but changed to another well known brand as I preferred the ultrasonic vibrating type. My old one died so I thought I'd give this a go. What can I say. It feels powerful, and even after using it the first time. My teeth felt much cleaner. I love the colours lighting up to show I'm using it correctly. The brush heads are more expensive than the standard ones, but I got a great deal on some in the prime sale, so I'm good for just over a year. Do I recommend this brush? Absolutely. It's better than I expected.

Happy customer with sparkling teeth

Perfect. Having had an old style Oral B electric toothbrush for many years I decided it was time to update and upgrade. I didn’t want anything ā€˜all singing, all dancing’ but had been tempted by the additional vibration of the IO models. I was very nearly put off by the ridiculous price of the IO brush heads but decided to take on the extra costs in order to give my teeth and gums the best chance. Ultimately I purchased the IO3 model and I have not been disappointed. Not only do the oscillating and vibration motions create a smoother and softer brushing experience, but my teeth are noticeably cleaner after only a week of twice daily use. A good purchase decision and an excellent service from boots. The extra Boots points promotion was was bonus that sealed the deal. ...Ā MorePerfect. No user instructions
21 September 2024

IThis arrived yesterday but there are no instructions on how to use other than some cryptic pictograms. Item had no outer casing for the box which programme assume essential info such as the modes available and how the pressure sensor works at are found. I have had to access this website to find the user instructions. But I still don't know how you are supposed to know which mode it is in other than by than by to trial and error. I have tried it and teeth do feel cllean. But really? No instructions? Am sO supposed to be psychic?

Really poor device
30 January 2024

Very unimpressed with this device. Purchased it as previous model (not quiyr sure of number, but the model that had built in AI that connected via Bluetooth). On receiving the item, immediate reaction was ā€˜all packaging, no substance). Very, very limited use age instructions, and the accompanying case was really cheap and nasty, particularly compared with my previous purchase..which enabled in case charging, monitoring etc (even though I realized it was a less expensive version. I decided to go with a different model as over time my usage of the AI / iPhone Bluetooth link was minimal). The final straw was that the model had a completely different brush head that meant I could not use the stock of heads I already own…

Revitalised Oral B toothbrush.

I’ve been using Oral B toothbrushes for decades, but finally took the plunge on a iO range brush. The iO3 is the base model, but has very nearly everything you need. It’s a big leap forward from the Pro I was using, with a smoother yet deeper cleaning experience. The addition of colour indication, not just for too much pressure, but also too little and just the right amount makes a big difference. I’ve found that the wear on the brush head is reduced as a result. It’s much quieter too and makes for a more relaxing brushing experience. I find the combination of pressure indication and the different cleaning action, means I’m brushing in a more considered and consistent way.Like the brush, the brush heads were on offer too. So although more expensive than standard heads I think they’ll last a bit longer. The only downside is if you want the fast magnetic charger you have to step up several models. Some reviews say it’s slippery to hold when it’s wet, but I’d say you don’t need to hold it tightly as it’s smoother in operation.Really glad I switched to the iO3. If you’re dithering on changing from a standard Oral B, like I was, I’d recommend buying one. If it’s your first electric brush it’s probably a better bet too.
