Oral B Superfloss 50

If it were possible i would 100% give this stupid floss ZERO stars. I can’t though, so i’ll tell you everything that i absolutely HATED about this horrible floss. I usually use a different one that i could thread through my braces. This is not it and it was the only one that they had at the store. NEVER again will I buy this: 1. For the love of god i could not get that itty-bitty thread to go through the bracket, I tried for minutes when finally it made it in. 2. The quality of this product is preposterous, it’s like YARN. 3. I wouldn’t even call this floss. It would slide in like normal floss does. I am so disappointed and dissatisfied. Please do yourself a favor and buy the GLIDE (Oral B) one!!! It is so so so much better

I have a permanent retainer bar on my upper and lower teeth so flossing as always been a challenge. These flossing threads are amazing for getting in and around the metal bar and into the cracks of my teeth and gums. It makes flossing so much easier for me. I also love them to help floss around the bridge I have in my teeth. I had to have a tooth pulled years ago and a bridge was put in, without these flossing threads I wouldn’t be able to get up and under my bridge where it sits on my gum and floss out food that gets stuck in there daily. A big waste of money

I bought two boxes of these and they are terrible. The floss is not smooth at all so it's tough to get the floss between your teeth. The sponge part gets stuck in your braces. The floss is so tough that it feels like it's shaving your teeth. Zero stars. Get the Glide ones instead. Very disappointed I wasted money on 2 boxes. Very low quality and not effective for flossing at all.

An almost perfect product

I was recommended this by my dentist to floss under my new dental bridge. It’s fairly easy to feed in the leading section and the fluffy section then works well. I’d love to see the design tweaked a little so that the final section is a little finer. For me this section is just a little too thick to floss between most of my normal teeth, but I appreciate this may be down to practical reasons in the manufacturing process. I’ve certainly not noticed a strong flavour with this product as mentioned by others.

Floss shreds and cant get in tight spaces

These are an awful choice for someone with little spacing between their teeth. I have two permanent brackets and I need a threader to floss between them. Normally I use a threader like GUM brand (which I highly recommend) but in a pinch I tried these instead. The floss is weak and shreds easily, and it’s difficult to floss around teeth that are close together. I broke through 2 lengths of floss the first time I tried flossing, and this is after almost 20 years of flossing using a separate threader and regular floss. Steer clear if your teeth are close together.

Lifted the Plaque Veil

For tightly aligned teeth, threading the floss in spaces at the gum line might be be worth a try.

No Quality Control

I used to love this product. It was perfect for those of us with bridges, gaps, etc. Over the past year or two I've noticed a significant decline in quality. To start, the threaders used to be sturdy. Now they're flimsy, and what make it worse it that the ends are frayed. I have to cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off before I can attempt to push the threader between my bridge and gums. Also, as others have mentioned, the fluffy part that does the cleaning has decreased in width, resulting in less cleaning power. Please! Oral B, go back to what you had to begin with. I'd be happy to pay a little more for the high quality you once provided.

Only floss I’ll use!

With a rare genetic condition, my teeth are difficult to keep. I have bridges, sharp edges, broken teeth and gum issues. I was well on my way to losing them because I hated flossing. Floss, threaders, narrow brushes and poor vision made it a chore, until I found super floss. I don’t know how well I’m doing because I quit yet another condescending dentist, but I haven’t had an abscess in 6 months. I’ve been flossing religiously since I found Superfloss late last year. Up until my last box I’ve been extremely happy. Hopefully there was just a hiccup in the packaging line. The tip of every stiff end in the box was bent and had to be snipped off in order to use it. Annoying, yes, but I kept at it and my next box has been ok. Whew.

Poor quality

I have been using Oral B Superfloss for about 8 months. I don't know if you have changed manufacturing companies, but my latest purchase is a disaster! Every one of the floss strands has to be cut with scissors at the lead end because of excessive fraying. The packaging was faulty as I had to remove all of the floss strands to retrieve just one of them!I never have had these problems before! I can't believe this package got through your quality control!

Quality has taken a nosedive

I have a 6-unit bridge that required me to thread floss through a floss threader before I found Oral-B’s Superfloss. I have used it for several years and loved the convenience of the plastic piece at the end that served as a built-in floss threader. However, Oral-B must have changed manufacturers or greatly relaxed their standards in the last year or so. The plastic end of the floss is now not as rigid and is even frayed on the end, making it impossible to thread through my bridge without cutting it with scissors to create a clean edge. It’s of such poor quality that I sometimes even have to cut the same piece more than once. I was happy to pay extra for Superfloss because of the time-savings and convenience.
