Orbit Irrigation Timer Controller with Valve

It's the first time I've used the orbit product, as a landscaper, I've always used mainstream products ( Hunter, Rain Bird ) this unit is compact, IP68 rating and very easy to operate.It also has the ability to add 3 more solenoides, can be concealed in a valve box and doesn't require hard wiring. Only time will tell for the five star rating, great to date.

After trying different brands and types of timers, we find the Orbit to be very easy to use, it was recommended by the H2O4U adviser. Just set the date, time, year and the programme times you require, you can go daily or choose every second or third day or what ever your garden requires to be watered. And to operate manually is an ease. Highly recommended.

I have replaced two old solenoid valves with two of these, one each for front and back lawns. My controller died and was about the same cost to replace as the two of these orbit units. The timer modules seem to be very good quality as is the water proof housing they come in. All connections are o-ring sealed so I have high hopes these units will last well. The doco is pretty poor because it does not make it clear that the timer has 4 sockets on its rear underside making it capable of controlling 4 DC solenoid valves.
