The Openwater Core TRN is the perfect wetsuit for swimmers who are just starting out in open water. This wetsuit features high flexibility and neutral buoyancy. The high flexibility in the shoulders makes your first workouts in open water wonderfully comfortable, while the buoyancy will keep you feeling secure. Flexibility For more flexibility in all phases of the swim stroke, Yamamoto 39 neoprene is used together with 2 mm Infinityskin high-end lining. This material is high elasticity that allows it to be used in different areas of mid-range wetsuits. This material requires between 45% and 35% less force to stretch than conventional neoprene. Thermal Insulation and BuoyancyThe Yamamoto 39 technology is also in the torso to ensure sufficient thermal insulation for workouts. Its 3 mm thickness ensures 77% more protection than if you did not wear a wetsuit. This material also gives the TRN an ideal neutral buoyancy for a secure feel. Zero ChafingThe lining in the neck area reduces friction and the likelihood of chafing. The material is soft to the touch and better for contact with the skin.

Does the job really really well. Used it during my 2023 season. Probably about 15 open water swims + 3 triathlons. Went into the cupboard for 8 months and started using it again now to prepare for 2024 events and still feels good as new. There are better ones out there, but this one is great value for money. Very happy

I've used the Orca TRN Core Wetsuit for several swims and it's holding up quite well. As someone new to openwater swimming and having a chubby build this Orca wetsuit fits well following the chest size in the size guide.Described as 4mm across the hips and 2mm on the shoulders and arms, after 90 minutes in the water I can definitely feel the session in my arms more than my legs, which is the opposite of a similarly lengthed session in the pool.I can't yet comment on the thermal protection as the temperature has been fairly warm recently. Although, despite an initial chill when entering the water I can occasionally feel a flush of warmer water around me about 15 minutes afterwards.

I purchased this to support my participating in open water swimming post summer and chose this item as it was stated to have neutral buoyancy and was at a good price. Unfortunately I am of medium height but have a barrel rather an a 6 pack, so options appeared somewhat limited. After an exchange of emails I opted to try a size 10 and 11, and settled on the 10 despite it being slightly snug. However it was the right move as I have dropped some pounds over recent weeks. The fit is really good once you have shoed yourself in sufficiently and is very comfortable to swim in; I tend to breaststroke with the occasional crawl. The water temp has not been too low over recent weeks (17-19) and this has been more than sufficient for me to swim 1k or longer without being cold ... This is the first wetsuit I have bought, but after some research into entry-level neutral buoyancy wetsuits for open water swimming I went for this model. The quality is excellent and it is very good value for money. After my first 1.5 hour open water swim the backs of my knees were quite badly chafing, possibly due to the seam in the wetsuit at the back of the knee but it seems most wetsuits have this and I’m hoping some anti-chafing balm will stop this in the future. I’m very happy with my purchase, and the wetsuit was delivered very quickly.
Great starter open water suit. I'm approx 5'10 with 43" chest 35" waste fairly broad shoulders; - size 8 fitted really well - tight across shoulder but still plenty of flex. Prompt service by Sigma as well.
I bought this full suit wetsuit based on specification of 2 /3 /4mm, but product was not this thickness. It seemed it's only 1.5mm and doesn't keep me warn in cold water of 17 degrees. Very disappointed. I have written to customer service to complain.
I am 6' 1 and 92kg. I bought the size 9 and I love it. I have only been training this year and so its my first suit. First event in 3 weeks and can't wait. The cut on the leg cups my calf and stops around 3" above my ankle. Using it twice a week at the moment and it keeps me very warm in the lake. Well done Orca.
Bought this to swim in the sea while on holiday but actually ended up body boarding in it as well. Despite recommending gloves to put this on it held up well with a rash vest on top. Kept me warm with sea temp of 12c. Wet socks would be a good addition though. Bought size 6, I’m 5’7” 70kg. Good fit if slightly long in the leg causing bunching behind knee.Would give 5 stars but Velcro tab keeps trashing inside suit.
I am so happy with this wetsuit. I had a older S5 wetsuit and had it for 11 years.. Really loved iit. This wetsuit is good for swimming in lakes and the sea also.. Good flexibalitiy also and i can hide my keys and wallet in it too.I like the red stripes on the arms.. its very useful for nights swims and see in dark. All the best.
Orca certainly lived up to their reputation. This suit was beautiful packaged and fitted perfectly as per the accurate size guide. Excellent quality and great looks. Just a tiny bit of leakage at the zip but not a problem for me. Sigma was super fast in delivery. I ordered 2 different sizes to get the right fit for me and Sigma was excellent for the free return and no delay with the refund. No hassles at all. Brilliant service and will happily shop with them again.
