I’ve purchased this several times. I stop using it, searching for something better, then go back to it hoping for different results, but it’s always the same. By no means is it a bad product, but it’s a pretty standard silicone formulation. The packaging is beautiful, and I personally find the scent lovely, even though I’m not a fan of heavily scented product, but at the end of the day this is just ok for me. It definitely imparts a bit of shine when you initially apply, but you have to be really careful about product buildup with this. That’s just how silicone formulas are, they tend to attract dirt and caused dullness if over-applied. I was hoping for some shine and moisture miracle, so was a little let down. I suggest going with a travel size if you want to try it. It’s still a little pricy, but a pretty generously sized bottle. It looks really pretty, I find the strong scent to be quite nice, but it definitely should be used sparingly. A clarifying shampoo here and there is helpful too. I recently got my haircut at a super fancy salon in the capital city, and the owner said that in his opinion, Oribe stuff is just OK for what it costs. The product is worth a try but is by no means a miracle treatment.

People are always surprised how much hair I actually have since when you first look at it, it looks less cuz of how thin it is. So most oils weight it down even more and I look like I have 3 strands lol. But this oil didn’t weight down my hair at all and it gave it just the rite amount of shine without it looking greasy. I received the Oribe Gold Lust Hair Oil for my honest review. For reference I have very fine hair but A LOT of it, that is EXTREMELY dry (especially since I live in the desert) and is naturally wavy/slightly curly. I can only wash my hair once a week or less otherwise it becomes even drier, and I very rarely use heat on my hair other than to style my bangs.I absolutely love this hair oil! The second is to aid in detangling my hair when I brush it out every night to re-braid it. And the third, is a couple times a week I need something that helps with frizz and my hair feeling dry, and adds shine, after I have taken it out of the braid in the morning and am styling my hair for the day. So I usually gently take my braid out, run my fingers through my hair, spray some texturizing spray in it, and put it up in a easy and cute half up style or something like that. But around days 3 and 6, I usually need something I can scrunch into my hair after using the texturizing spray to bring a bit of the shine back and help with the frizz, while also keeping the wavy and bouncy look I am going for without it being too heavy or looking greasy, and this is great for that as well.But with all that said, I have no problem paying luxury pricing for a really great hair oil especially one as good as this one, but this is just kind of getting into ridiculousness with the price of it. And there are some amazing similar products on the market that are much more affordable. Though I do like it enough that I will definitely buy it if I can get it on sale.
