Orient Men's 'Mako II' Japanese Automatic/Hand-Winding Stainless Steel 200 Meter Diving Watch

This is a no muss, no fuss tool watch. It is solid as a chunk of steel, but doesn't wear big or heavy.Maybe it lacks some of the character of an SKX or a Seiko 5, but it's really in a different price point these days. For this price, an automatic mech with a hacking, in-house movement?What's not to like?

There are very few watches that offer this level of quality for the price. I was skeptical about Orient initially. I thought “there’s no way anyone is actually going to make a decent watch and price it at a level that almost anyone can afford,” but I decided to get one based on the independent reviews I’ve seen, and I’m glad I did. The one question I have is this: If Orient can provide a watch this good at such an affordable price, then how can other companies justify charging significantly more for a watch that’s either no better or (in many cases) far worse?

I have no complains about this watch at all other than it just didn't look quite right on my wrist. I needed something a little bigger. I got in touch with Mark and found him wonderful to deal with. The return process was easy. I paid for the return postage with insurance from Australia as this was my choice to return what was a beautiful watch. I had not taken any of the stickers off the watch, worn it, or changed it in any way. My credit card was credited with the purchase amount when Mark received it so I can now chose another watch.
