Clearly you can tell by the picture I use this product regularly. A friend of mine gave me this product as a gift so I’m not actually sure how much it actually costs. But since receiving it I have used it almost every day. It is a creamy/frothy lightweight face wash. A little goes a long way. When you wash your face it turns your entire face white and almost looks like a face mask. It has a nice light smell to it almost unscented. Leaves your face feeling soft and has definitely helped with clearing my skin. Would. It recommend if you have really bad skin because this is not a harsh or deep cleaning wash and does not have exfoliate. I have sensitive skin and my skin has no reaction when I use it.

This is my favorite face wash of all time and I began using it at 15 and I’m 41 now I still use it. While I’ve tried many other face washes over the years, and I have liked numerous, I always end up going back to my old faithful, Origins’ Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash because it’s unlike any other that I’ve tried. It’s an iridescent white creamy texture that smells of mint, and upon adding water it lathers into this frothy goodness that makes your face look and feel like heaven. It’s a great cleanser for all ages and while some may not want to pay $27 for face wash, it’s definitely worth it and rids your skin of any makeup, dirt, or grime and leaves it feeling soft and clean, and looking healthy glowing. Plus, Origins runs a lot of specials so you can often ... MoreThis is my favorite face wash of all time and I began using it at 15 and I’m 41 now I still use it. I have combination skin, oily T zone and dry normal/dry skin everywhere else. I'm very prone to hyperpigmentation when I break out and it always takes a while to go away. Given. I have had this wash for a bit over 2 weeks and I HATE it. My skin hates it and it feels horrible once washed off. Not only that but it makes me break out with under the skin cyst like acne. The wash also feels super cheap, like if you're using a Spring bar of soap on your face. It leaves a white cast and thin residue, no matter hard much you rinse or emulsify before placing on your skin. A little product does go a long way and for the size given, that may be a good value. However, I will not be purchasing this in the future at all. Now, I have to spend money on products that will help me ... Nothing else changed in my routine, just the cleanser. So I know that's what has been drying my face, making it look dull and flaky, plus my other products don't seem to be absorbing well after using this. The moment I go back to my YOTP cleanser, my face looks normal and my products actually absorb. Stay away from this.

I have pretty sensitive skin. When I first got this, the squeaky clean feeling felt kind of scary...thought it would dry my skin out over time. Well, a few months ago I started to get really stubborn dry patches on my face that just would not go away with any moisturizers. I used this cleanser one day because my regular one ran out. Like magic, the dry patches were almost completely gone by the next AM. Soft, silky, supple skin overnight. When I don't use this cleanser for a few days, the dryness comes back, but I use this one night and they're gone again so they are manageable with my creams. I don't know how as this stuff stays on my skin for 10 seconds tops and is washed off but there you go.It does feel a bit like toothpaste I guess...there was some grittiness ... But maybe that was because it was an old tube...it did not break me out or cause itchiness though. Just my new HG for my dry patches because nothing else seems to help.
I craved this for a long time and finally purchased it once my current face wash ran out. I've used it for a decent amount of time now and it's good. I mean it works - my skin tolerates it, it's non drying and my face is smooth after using. But!!! the smell and consistency is just to similar to toothpaste. It messes with my head when I use it in the morning. It's like I've reached for the wrong tube. And there is a lot of product left in the tube that is impossible to squeeze out. Usually when that happens I resort of scissors and decant the rest into a tub to use. But I actually think I'll just admit defeat and bin, and go back to what I was using before. I need a calmer, more tranquil sensation in the morning other than smearing Colgate over my face. Sorry! I ... This is the first origins product I can't get on board with.
Lemme start off by saying this was a gift, I wouldn’t usually buy a cleanser like this, it has a couple issues. This cleanser is not pH balanced, thus it TOTALLY strips the skin of its natural oils that are supposed to be there. Moisture barrier = gone. Your face and hands get that “squeaky” feeling. Not a good sign in a cleanser. You’ll need to restore the moisture in your skin after using this, perhaps a 5.5 pH toner, a hydrating serum, or a rich moisturizer; even better, just get a different cleanser that’s actually non-stripping.Additionally, this cleanser is LOADED in essential oils, which are a proven irritant for sensitive or acne-prone skin, also known for aggravating rosacea, especially with long-term exposure. The only positive points are that I like the ... All in all, this is very expensive for a cleanser when there are way better, more affordable ones without problematic ingredients. A cleanser goes right down the drain. Skip this one.I otherwise recommend the Soon Jung 5.5 foaming cleanser. It’s like $8 and far from problematic. My all-time fav, leaves the skin hydrated while still cleansing thoroughly. Has a *similar* froth.
I bought this product a few days ago and I was excited to start using it. The smell is very pleasing and the consistency is good as well. I double cleanse with an oil cleanser first as one does, so I'm not sure if that affected the results of the product. Then I went in with this product. My face felt clean and refreshed after using. I washed my face at night and in the morning when I checked to see the results I had two new small pimples on my face and I thought maybe I just wasn't used to it but it shouldn't work like that anyway. I tried using it again about two more times and I had broke out even more. I'm not sure if it's my skin that didn't like this facial cleanser because I've heard very good reviews about it.
You only need a small drop - like anpea size and mix it with water. It also works very well with the facial brush cleansing macines. This item is good for people with oily to very oily and or someone with a lot of makeup they need to takeoff. If your skin is normal combination or dry already despite wearing makeup, it will only make you drier. I purchased it in the fall when it was cold..will not use it until summer time when my skin tend to have more of an oily buildup. Wintertime, I will use something else like Philosophy Purity- its more moisturizing when it cleans.I like Origins Checks and Balances for sure, it cleans well but would "overclean' if your face isn't that oily/dirty.
I was so excited to try this product, yet after the first time of using it, I knew it was not for me. If I had not spent the pandemic watching dermatologists and skin care enthusiasts online I may not have known what I know now about how your skin should feel after washing, and the way this cleanser leaves me skin is not right. My skin is literally squeaky clean, as in, it actually squeaked as I washed it.I like that the packaging is simple and clean, but it also looks a little cheap and not as premium as it is.On using the cleanser foam for the first time I was already unsure about the texture as I moved it around on my hands, but I gave it a go and even though I knew I didn't like it, I gave it a fair go. When moving it in circular motions around my face it did feel smooth and leave my skin feeling soft, but I found it difficult to dissolve from my skin and I felt that I almost had a film over my face for the first of the morning.I think it did an okay job of removing minimal make-up but not so good at removing full nighttime glam make-up. It just smeared it across my face.I also really didn't like the scent. It just smelt a bit 'off'. I wouldn't purchase it myself, nor would I recommend it. It reminds me of something I would have used when I first started using skincare as a teenager. I think there are much better products on the market for the same price.
I have tried this cleanser based off the reciews and I must say this cleanser is the best! I have dry and sensitive skin. This cleanser is so nice! It lathers so a little goes a long way. It hydrates my skin and gives it a good clean leaving no dirt behind. My skin looks phenomenal since i started using this! My pores have shrunk and texture is going away. I highly recommend this to anyone with any skin type! There is a minty scent but I find that it is not overpowering and it doesnt bother my sensitive skin.
