I gave my cats Orijen, and I was surprised that they all absolutely loved it. I have a couple very picky eaters, so I can’t deny I had my doubts. However, even my most picky two felines were delighted to have Orijen in their meal. I started out slowly by adding a little to their usual dry food. Then, after they had no obvious adverse reactions, I slowly transitioned to an all Orijen meal. They can’t get enough of it. I saw that the first five ingredients of the Orijen foods are always fresh or raw protein sources from the best poultry and fish. This is what nature intended for our feline babies, and I’m so happy we discovered this cat food. We will now be buying this trustworthy brand for life.

I followed the instructions in the bag ri slowly transition. When I put into the bowl it looked really dull. Initially the cats ate sound it when it was a quarter if the meal. When it became half I started to see less of it I the bowl. But unfortunately after it became half or more the cats just wouldn't touch it. I had high hopes but after several days of no luck I made sure to give them wet food so they had something on there stomachs. All of my cats are rescues so I was surprised and them avoiding the food. It just didn't mesh well with them. I don't think I will try this again.

My cats are loving Orijen Fit & Trim dry cat food. I am loving that it's made with 85% premium animal products, including free run turkey and chicken plus wild caught herring and flounder. It contains prebiotic and helps with weight control as well as providing for a healthy skin and shiny coat. It's packed with fresh or raw poultry and fish. My cats are feeling great and looking good. They seem to love this food and the whole prey diet. It's worth every penny.

This product is the only one that I have found that has real food in it. The rest have "meal" instead of actual meat. Her fur is beautiful. She even gets compliments. She used to be feral so she is very sensitive to picking up on smells and tastes. She will not eat the Six Fish which does have some meal in it. Not sure if this is due to the meal or she doesn't like the flavor. She loves Orijen Red and really really likes the Orijen Cat and Kitten. Both have 90% premium animal ingredients which is why I chose them. Her favorite flavors tend to be toward the red meat (beef). I was selected to test and review this product for free in exchange for my honest feedback. My cat is somewhat of a picky eater. He is a little hesitant to try new foods and I was a little worried he wouldn’t like this food either. However, once I gave him his first bowl I knew right away that this was going to be a new favorite food for my sweet boy. He didn’t even hesitate at all. He gobbled it up and was ready for seconds. This food has good bite size pieces and smells very fresh. My sweet boy loved this food and I will definitely continue to buy this for him.

My boy loves it. We recently had to change him over to this food after he started gaining more weight from his other food. We have always loved Orijens however he was just fixed and the vet said since he is not as active like before he needed a weight management food. After many hours of research and comparing brands I was back to Orijens but just a different flavor. He is a picky eater and doesn't like change to his food too often. However his weight is back to normal and loves this food. It has the amazing flavor without all the additives of other brands. He also is getting his energy back to jump around with our 2 dogs. I very much recommend this product to all the felines trying to get summer ready lol.
Trust those who say this gives their cats diarrhoea or loose stool (and there are a lot). I did a very slow 10 day transition and still both my cats started to have diarrhoea once they are fully on Orijen! A popular belief and even Orijen themselves claim that it is the high protein that leads to this and reducing feeding amount or give it time would help but I don't believe it as both my cats were previously on Ziwipeak and Feline Natural which are both gluten and filler free and also very high in protein. Besides cats are carnivores. I think it might be all the peas added that leads to allergic reactions- it is a lot of peas when you read the ingredients list. However in other cat food where potato starch is used instead to make the dry food consistent, they do include the sugar %This is the reason my vet prefers that I feed our cats with Virbac W1 (1% sugar stated on the packaging) than Orijen. I've been feeding this to my tubby Bengal for about a year and he slimmed down a bit and has more energy. But I bought a new bag today, and the pieces are suddenly HUGE. The old shape/size was perfect for making him eat slower, and they fit into an interactive feeder. The new size is too big for the interactive feeder, and lets him eat way faster because each piece is twice what it used to be, so he's getting twice the calories with each bite. The bigger sized pieces wouldn't matter for regular cat food, but since this is for tubby cats, the huge pieces don't make sense.The new bag also didn't have a ziploc on it, and I had to find 16 containers to put it all in since I couldn't just close the bag like I used to.
