Approved by my grumpy Elder Cats. I received this Orijen Guardian 8 Senior to try for free from Influenster but I wasn’t sure if my cats would eat it or turn it down, with no hesitation they both consumed the whole bowl. Their stool was normal after, and had no noticeable digestive issues. The package is nice and secure, unable to tear. I would pay any price to make the last days of their lives the best and give them the best diet and nutrition to regulate their health! I plan on switching to Orijen Guardian 8 Senior.

I adopted a stray kitten from the neighborhood. He was very thin and had worms and ticks on him so he was likely on his own for awhile before he came to me. I bought this food because I believed he needed the best nutrition after a rough start. He loves it, although in the beginning I softened it with real warm chicken broth. I know it is working because in 2 months he has more that doubled in size and his coat is so soft and thick and he has tons of energy. I was getting food at walmart for years because of how cheap it was and honestly thought it was good food. I read it was normal for cats to throw up sometimes but i realized that was not the case AT ALL, my friend recommended me this brand of food from my local Petco and was skeptical at first because of the price but I had just adopted a baby kitten and my bestfriend Nyxie has been w me for 10 years now and wanna make sure she’s healthy also so I decided to make the jump w the kitten one and automatically noticed a difference in their coats. I thought maybe the kitten is because he’s a baby but Nyxie being older her coat got so much softer and she didn’t shead as much, she also started throwing up less! I can't believe how much my picky senior loves this food. I'm having a really hard time transitioning her slowly from her old food because she doesn't even want her old food anymore. She was on the Smalls fresh food diet for a few months and I thought she liked it, but she started getting sick with vomiting and lethargy. I felt like something was maybe missing from the Smalls diet, so I did some research and landed on Orijen. I like the solid ingredients list with a variety of protein sources for a variety of amino acids. The second my cat smelled this food she abandoned the fresh Smalls food and devoured the kibble. So far, she hasn't had any lethargy or stomach issues. I'm very happy. Unless something drastic happens, I will continue to buy this food!

We purchased this food for the quality not the quantity. Though higher priced than others brands, this kibble is high in protein which means there is less waste in the litter boxes.And the kitties are eating healthier food. Would recommend with portion control . Our kitties eat this brand like potato chips. They can’t just have one bowl. My cat went to Emergency 10 days ago, she was peeing blood. The doctor told me she might have urinary tract infection or cystitis. At the time, I was not sure why it happened, and I couldn't recall anything wrong in her diet, environments, and habits. For the past 9 months, I fed my cat on orijen, and it is mainly orijen now since she does not like the wet food I bought for her at all. I don't think there's anything wrong with this brand until yesterday I found on social media that some pet parents met the same situation as me and they fed their cats on orijen, especially the six fish flavor. I am not saying there's definitely something wrong with this brand, but I do hope this post other pet parents can check the ingredients carefully before they purchase, and ... My 11-year old female loves the Guardian 8 blend, I decided to switch her over to the senior blend hoping it would be similar enough. It's markedly different though, even in kibble texture and color. Opening the bag, it clearly smells different. My cat resists eating it, going on a hunger strike until I mix more of the leftover Guardian 8 so she can pick it out again.I'm going to stick with Guardian 8 because she does so well on it, but if you want to give this blend a try I recommend starting your cat on it, otherwise they may not want to switch! It has a good blend of quality ingredients though, and my younger cat eats it enthusiastically whenever he can, so I would still recommend it.
I'm consistently impressed with the outstanding customer service skills. Easy to find what I'm looking for. Assistant Store Manager Vladimir has been a genuine help in recommending products and helpful ideas. To help me lower my my costs he recommended the Vital Care membership and it has been a real help.One thing that I have a concern about is the pricing. We definitely want to provide the healthiest possible diet for our two cats but the combination of the main diet of kibble and a small amount of Healthy Choice wet is still quite a strain in spite of the Vital Care membership.I'm open to hearing back with suggestions.
