My puppy loved this food, this food DID NOT love my puppy. At just 8 months old, using Orijen puppy food for 3 months, my puppy was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy! We were unaware that grain-free dog food has been linked to DCM. According to reports Orjien is on the list of cases being studied. Please consult a vet before using grain-free dog food. It might save your babies life. My baby is still in treatment and HOPEFULLY we have caught it in time!!

Bought it for my VERY picky Cockapoo-we went through all the common brands, vet recommended brand, and he was not interested. It was so stressful worrying about getting him to eat... UNTIL we found Orijen. He was skeptical at first given his bad experience with other kibble but in a week or two he was hooked and is actually excited to eat (like a normal dog). Healthy ingredients and high quality. Expensive but totally worth it. Recommend with 2 thumbs way up!

This is the best pup food we\'ve tried by far, and planning to stick to it!! We\'ve tried a few other brands and my pup didnt like or didnt work well for her. Orijen has been the first brand we\'ve tried that she loved, it was super easy to transition from the other brand without causing too much trouble. Some people commented on how shiny her fur is and I believe it\'s a result of a good quality nibble. Highly recommend, I am super happy with Orijen.

My havanese/yorkie is picky and doesn't seem to really love dry food. I had her on the Wellness Core Small Breed Puppy food and she would always pick around the dry kibble and go for the wet food mixed in it. Only eating the dry kibble if she was really hungry. She gobbles down the Orijen kibble with her wet food no problem. I just have to cut the kibble in half because she's teething now and doesn't seem to like working on the bigger pieces of kibble. Also, her poops weren't bad on Wellness Core but I can tell they are smaller and better consistency on Orijen, so I'm hoping that means she's absorbing more nutrients.
I bought this yesterday after getting a sample for my pup at a dog fair last weekend. He LOVED the sample but then again he eats everything I give him. The ingredients are what really got me. I did a LOT of research into giving our dog only the best. We really wanted to give him a raw food diet but its so expensive so we are going to be mixing this with some freeze dried food every now and then and with some cooked chicken or fish. This is definitely the next best thing! My dog is 5 months old, greyhound/lab/pittie cross and hes jumping up every time she smells this!

It really helped bring grain free - not a natural food source for dogs. Our old guy sadly was put down late last year and we now have a new pup to keep our younger dog company and to add much love and laughter to our own lives.When we brought the wee boy home I gave him 10 days to settle into his new surroundings on the grain based biscuit the breeder had been using then mixed the old with Origen puppy and slowly changed his diet to all Origen with some added cooked chicken and fish. He is just doing so well, is playful, happy and healthy. So far it’s great! We moved our puppy from Royal C to the puppy dry food and it’s but very good thus far. As she is still growing she needs a lot of food and sometimes didn’t finish all of her previous food. But this is much higher quality so she needs less and has not problem finishing it.Oh, and the poos are better as well. Far less smell!
My 6 month old puppy started refusing to eat his usual puppy food which has been his only food for over 4 months. I added gravy & he would eat some kibble pieces, but still spit others onto the floor. I’m slowly transitioning him to Orijen. He still spits out some of the old kibble, but he eats all the Orijen. It may be a quicker transition then recommended because I want to ensure he gets enough nutrients and if he’s basically eating only the Orijen, he may has well have only Orijen in his bowl!
We purchased this food for our 10 week old lab mix puppy and he has been eating it for several months. He loves the food and we love the ingredient list. However, we noticed quickly that he became SO gassy. It's god awful and while he didn't look uncomfortable we couldn't stand the smell every 10 minutes. We just switched to the large breed formula and so far the gas has greatly reduced. I'm wondering what was causing this?
Introduced to our puppy at 8 weeks as 50/50 mix with breeders kibble. On their advice, we presoaked to avoid choking due to VERY fast eating. Something people may not consider: higher quality ingredients allow smaller portions. I'm unaware of a product of equal quality or nutritional value. Our pup will continue with 100% Orijen puppy until maturity.
