Fingerprints, tags and codes can be linked to names or accounts to easily see which user has unlocked your door. Generate quick codes or set scheduled, time-limited access for guests. This device uses 4 AA alkaline batteries (included). Low battery warnings provide reminders when the batteries need to be replaced, or you can check the battery status in the app. There is a microUSB port for backup power, and the mechanical keys can also be used if the lock has run out of battery. This deadbolt uses a 54mm diameter cut-out at a backset of 60/70mm from the door edge, and requires the door thickness to be between 35-50mm. The product is suitable for DIY installation on doors that have an existing cut-out with these dimensions. It is recommended to drill a small mounting hole above the cut-out to fully secure the lock and provide a weather-resistant seal. The product is not designed for DIY replacement of mortise or rim locks, and professional installation is recommended for new doors. Installation videos are available on the Grid Connect website.
