Good quality material and very lightweight. Opens up fully like a suitcase, good sized interior. Good value, reliable brand. Recommend this for a lightweight carry on.

Just received mine and am excited to use it in December to go to Europe. Dimensions match airline requirements and looks like it will fit well with lots of adjustment points. Wouldn't have found the hip belt if I hadn't known to look for it. Clever tuck hides it and the shoulder straps away when not in use. Love the laptop sleeve, side pockets and external zipper pockets. Also would fit over the handle of my roller bag.

Better than expected

Europe trip

I decided to join my son during his travels through Europe. He was traveling light and visiting several countries and locations. I needed a pack that was light and no more than 45 liters. This was a perfect fit for my needs. Easy to pack and comfortable to carry. It fit in every overhead bids on the trains and plane we took. I used packing cubes which fit well in this pack.

Excellent quality backpacks

Excellent carryon backpack for international travel. I bought 4 of these (in black) for a family trip to europe this summer. We each packed about 5 days of clothes, a couple sets of pj's, a swimsuit, and our toiletries. We didn't need to carry laptops, so we used the laptop pocket for journals, trip paperwork, and slim souvenirs. We did laundry twice on the trip. We traveled for two weeks on planes, trains, buses, and on foot with these packs with no problems. Even stuffed full, they fit in overhead compartments and luggage racks on trains. A big help was using a ziptop plastic bag that you can roll to press out air and compress the clothes. We used those bags for our dirty clothes to keep them separated and contain any odors. Fantastic lightweight minimalist travel bag.

I purchased this for an upcoming trip to Europe and Scandinavia for two weeks. It fit the sizer for Icelandair, which is notoriously small (7.8” depth). It easily held everything I needed, and was stylish and durable as well. In an age when travel bags keep rising in price, this is a great value. Highly recommended !

Great Lightweight, Compressible Travel Backpack!

I bought this bag a few weeks ago in hopes of improving upon my previous travel backpack. It is very lightweight and spatially efficient. This bag has some really nice features and is extremely lightweight (37.5 oz by my scale). I especially like the low profile water bottle pockets, low profile grab handles, and the slick laptop compartment. My only real complaint is that the shoulder straps attach to the bottom of the bag with clips that attach to nylon webbing loops (instead of the usual plastic or metal D-rings). They are a little bit "fiddly" to use and don't seem quite as sturdy as other bags I have used. Finally, I have had no trouble with the zipper on the main compartment, but it doesn't seem quite as smooth or robust as the zippers on similar bags. Hands free essential bag

Great bag for a week away! This served as personal bag avoiding that up-charge for an additional carryon. Fits under airline seat when turned lengthwise. Was pleasantly surprised by this backpack; its capacity, yet still comfortable on the shoulder. I’ve tried several bags for when traveling 4-7 days including, totes, other backpack, and duffel. I’ve now found the one to get the job done and with quality and guarantee, I’ll be using for many years! Only compliant, the smaller pocket with only one zipper would function so much better with two.

Perfect carry-on. Back pack straps are great

Bought this specifically because it is carry-on size. Has laptop pocket, and two outside pockets. Main zipper opens wide, pack like a suitcase. FWIW, Moosejaw had super quick shipping. I'd buy again, but I think the quality will last a life time.

The ideal carry on travel backpack

This maximizes space available while still fitting under the seat of most airlines. Excellent build quality as expected from Osprey. With one of these and a 20 inch spinner carry on suitcase, you can travel the world light and efficient without being slowed down by bulky & costly checked baggage.
